Port CWM recovery for G800F - Galaxy S5 Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, i would like to use the CWM recovery on the mini S5 (G800F). Does anyone have the skills to port CWM for this device please ?

TWRP is already available .-.
why do you want cwm?
twrp is way better and modern looking : D

Because I have deodexed Stock ROM and is flashable via recovery, but when flash TWRP, I have the following error: E: Error executing updater binary in zip. I thought the error had TWRP and maybe with CWM, I would not have this error.

The error is due to something wrong with the update-binary file
try to look into it

I saw that TWRP 2.8.7.0 can not flash the ROMs 4.4.x, so I would use CWM/Philz Touch Recovery but you must wear it for G800F. Do you could help me to port CWM/Philz Touch Recovery to G800F is please?

Im not good in porting things sorry
but theres a deodex 4.4.2 rom for the G800H and i have flashed it with my twrp 2.8.7.0 without problems so again i dont think its the recovery fault

Hi all,
I have a Mi 9 unlocked and was able to install several ROMs on it, Xiaomi beta, Xiaomi eu, PE, etc... Every time I switched the ROM I formated data (the option where you are asked to type yes) but everytime when I go back to TWRP, I have to enter my pattern to decrypt data... What am I doing wrong? Formated at least 3 times data and everytime I loose everything including sdcard storage... Any help ?

You don't need to root but the bootloader has to be unlocked.

As said, you don't need root, I always flash roms without root.
Just unlock your bootloader with official tool and then you can install TWRP recovery or push the rom with fastboot mode, TWRP is more convenient for me

Mi 9 block in fastboot and data format impossible twrp

Hello, following a big mistake on my part I blocked my phone in EDL mode I have flash via a guy from Ukraine for the flash in EDL mode, in short it is good.
But here I am stuck in fastboot mode, impossible to deliver a global rom or china, by asking a colleague I managed to install twrp with Tool all in one, already that to win.
While wanting to install the Xiaomi rom had with twrp I constantly have a mounting error, after some research I try this, but it's the same.
So I would like a helping hand to successfully erase the data completely to put the Europe rom please, thank you.
Up . Please help me

Touchscreen not working after Magisk

Hi there!
Sorry if this post is duplicated, I searched a lot but other people's solutions didn't work for me so I'm writing here.
I am using Samsung s8+ (sm-g955f) Exynos and wanted to install a different rom. Flashed to stock image-everything ok, installed TWRP from here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...pment/recovery-twrp-galaxy-s8-exynos-t3595102
=everything ok-booted to twrp and phone working perfectly.
I tried to install Magisk using the twrp method-latest installs in the mega thread. All seemed ok until i rebooted and my touchscreen stopped working.
I tried a lot of things to fix that, including but not limited to:
-reflashing magisk
-flashing stock rom again
-installing twrp without magisk
-tried to uninstall magisk but after stock flash it didnt find any modules to uninstall
-flashed stock boot.img.tar via odin
Nothing worked..As of now my phone is working-boots and loads OS and i can use otg mouse to click around but touch still isn't working. At this point I dont care about rooting the phone or the custom ROM, just want my touch screen working again..
Can anyone help?

What does this mean? What is "twrp method-latest installs in the mega thread"?

Sorry for the unclear explanation, i mean this: https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-install-magisk/ , i downloaded a zip magisk file and flashed it via twrp.
Edit:after flashing magisk this way and reeboting the touch issue appeared.
I don't understand enough to be able to explain to you why, but with some ROMs you shouldn't flash Magisk right after flashing the ROM, you should reboot after installing the ROM, then go into twrp and flash Magisk. It has solved many issues for me before, I don't know if it applies to your case because I didn't see your method step by step, but is something to try.

Thank you for the response! I will try that but I installed Magisk before the custom rom. In the link I uploaded for TWRP instructions after successful TWRP instalation (part 2 completed with no problems) it gives the options for root-magisk or spersu (part 3) before rom installation so I did that.
I installed twrp on a fresh stock image, because I first wanted to do a clean factory reset on the device, before doing anyting else.
UPDATE
-installed stock rom
-installed TWRP
-installed magisk-Version 20.4, Magisk Manager-v 8.0.2-both green ticks, Root check=ROOT DETECTED
-installed Alexis ROM ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ce-development/alexis-rom-1-1-stable-t3753975 )
-Every function is working, phone is without bloatware, root is active, twrp is working. Everything BUT the stupid touchscreen... Is it possible something fried during the first install? Can I flash some touchscreen driver?
There are kernels with diferent touch drivers like D8G for instance, you'll find it on github.
