I know TrackID use to have an android wear app (app appeared on the watch). I tried to launch trackID from my watch yesterday and noticed the app was not there, though it was on my phone. I do not know if the developers stopped supporting Android Wear or if there is an issue with my watch/phone pairing where this app is not being pushed over.
The reason I am not sure is because in the past I have had issues with apps not appearing on my watch, but that was on previous versions of Android Wear for the LG G Watch R, and I have not experienced that lately. Other apps seem to install just fine, leaving me to believe the issue is with the TrackID app (whether not supported, or an issue with the actual app).
Anybody else notice this?
Cheers,
B.D.
Doesn't appear on my Moto 360 either
Does not appear on my Smartwatch 3 too.... -_-
I wrote to the developers right after posting this question and have not heard back to date.
On the Google Play store it no longer says it is supported on android wear, and somebody else changed their review to reflect that it was no longer supported.
Cheers,
B.D.

Join the Pebble beta group for the new 2.9 firmware testing. Actionable notifications are enabled for any app that uses the Android Wear API. No need to run the Wear App. You just need the new Pebble app.
Just bought my Pebble and I felt a little left out from all the Wear Hoopla. Pebble just keeps getting better.
Not bad at all for $79!
Do you have the 2.9 firmware.. Can you send it to me...
You can get the new beta by joining the g+ group and opt in on beta testing. The beta can then be downloaded from the play store.

You can find all infos you need on AP : http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/1...-android-wear-notifications-beta-version-2-3/
I found it very hard to find the information where I can sign up. I joined the group on my tablet, been looking in the play store, etc. Finally at work, I logged into google and looked from there in the play store. There I acutally found the following link a day later: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.getpebble.android?authuser=0
The new notifications are a big improvement.

Thank you!!!
New beta update for the Pebble apk and phone firmware yesterday. No real chance to test it yet, but I will tomorrow.
Hi, I'm totally noob and I just bought my Pebble few days ago.
Wich difference are among Android Wear native support and the Notification Center App? I mean, the Notification Center app already allow to replay with Wear integration or this is what I understood.
That is correct but the notification center app is a third party app, pebble has this integrated in its own app now, but still in beta. It's what you prefer, both have their pros and cons.

Ok thank you. I think I'll wait the stable version
I've installed the beta, and so far i am very happy with it.
The Wear support works great and saves an application slot on the pebble.
Thumbs up for the Pebble devs
So to what extent can the Pebble hook into Android Wear ?
Can I use it with apps featuring Android Wear support such as Fly Delta's app with smartwatch Boarding passes ?
I'm just curious what the pebble can access with this new feature

I've got no clue about that one, but apps that support android wear deliver same/similar functions now as they do on android wear watches. If I get an e-mail via google inbox, I can snooze the message, dismiss and such. In google keep I often set reminders that can now be delayed should they pop up at the wrong time or dismissed, too. It's great. If I get an ad from amazon books, I see at a glance on my watch what it is. If it sounds interesting, I either get my phone to check or let it pop up again later. If I don't want to see it again, I dismiss the message.
You can also send canned responses as Pebble doesn't have a microphone (which I'm glad about because I find it rather strange to talk to my watch in public).
I could see myself using voice in the car or at home, but not in public.
I've been checking out sony's smartwatch yesterday, but I couldn't find an answer via google whether or not it's possible to use android wear watches without talking to them. So Pebble is still the best option for me. And today was the first time I had used my watch for full 6 days on one charge.
Both my google play, and Android wear are completly updated. However when ever I try to start certain apps it tells me i need to update either google play services or android wear, both of which are the current version. This seems to effect mostly the google apps like google keep. Any Ideas, I just got this about 2 days ago.
This is happening to me too. On the Android Wear phone app, certain actions are either greyed out (navigation) or missing entirely (texting). When I try to open certain apps on the wear I get a grey screen that says "Update Android Wear on your Phone". And that's it. Other apps like custom watch faces will not properly sync or update and give me a "Try updating google play services" error message.
I've tried resetting the watch several times along with resyncing apps, reinstalling the Wear phone app, etc. None of these are fixing the issue.

Yup. Same think. Also i see that some people are able to even text via the watch though the phone which i cannnot do.
My watch still says android Software version 5.0.1 but my friend who had his longer has been 5.1.1 for a long it me now. This is one of the big reasons for me to think of rooting and trying a custom ROM but I dont really see any. Or even flash the update myself.
The watch won't update until your phones updated.
Go into settings on the watch, check out the build number. If it contains 'sprat-userdebug' in the string then you aren't on a base rom and you need to flash it stock. Just got mine and apparently this was/is known from a batch that went in to the reseller market. BestBuy got nailed by it and lots of pissed off people.
There is a tool here that can help you get on a stock rom that will allow the OTA updates to happen.
I'm in the same boat, haven't had a chance to try it yet but will report back tonight.
EDIT:
Worked great - flash back to the stock ROM, pair with your phone and it will get the OTA updates. They take awhile and process one by one, but success. Good luck! I had a rough time getting the ADB drivers on Win 8.1, although I think it's my crappy laptop. Worked on a Win 7 machine I had around without issue.
All my google play services were wiped out, Google play crashes when I try to open. Is my tablet hosed? Don't they test these effing updates?
I bought an Urbane rcently and paired it with my OPO.
Version info on Wear
Version Num: .3.0.2166028
G Play Services: 7.8.99
I am trying to launch the Maps App on google wear and it displays the following error message
"maps won't run unless you update the android wear app".
I cant seem to find a way to update the wear App.
Anybody else faced this issue or help fixingit?
Thanks!
Works fine on my Urbane and S5. I have Android wear app updated to 1.4 on my phone. And on the Urbane it's 1.3.02166028. Google Play version 8.4.89
Works well for me using Galaxy S6. Could be what seems like one of several watch problems when using a One Plus phone.
Worked after uninstalling the ANdroid Wear and reinstalling. Do not ask me why it didnt work the first time. Just like many of the OPO problems with a watch might have been another
Android Auto isn't detecting apps on my radio. I have Podcast Addict and Google Play on the list of available apps. However, Audible, Spotify, and Pandora don't appear in the list of available apps. Is there something I am supposed to do to get the apps to appear?
I am using SyncGen3 w/ Android Auto and a Galaxy S7 Active phone.
Applications mentioned above must have following to be visible at AA Google play
1) valid AA certification
2) valid country code
I assume you have issue with 2. Please identify your current country and we can check. Workaround is to use fakeGPS/fakeGmail based on US, install required apps and then unlink and connect your original gmail country. This works for me also.
I experienced the same behaviour. I installed an app compatible with AA and didn't find it on the display in my car. Even rebooting the phone didn't help. After some days after I installing a further AA app the first one got visible as well.
Hello all,
I was shocked to find out that the V40 isn't Daydream compatible. I skipped the Play Store and installed the Daydream APK. The setup ran flawlessly, even updating Google VR services, but at the final screen where it shows you the VR view of the forest, a little box pops up saying "sorry, your phone is not compatible with Daydream". Is there a non-root way to force this box to disappear so I can use the V40 with Daydream? it appeared to work fine when I moved the phone around to view the forest in 360. I'm guessing it probably has all the same VR "innards" the V30 had, plus it even has the new SD845. Really annoyed that the V40 doesn't support Daydream. I found a site online with the specs and it mentioned Daydream compatibility. I know there are ways to force Daydream with root. I'm hoping someone figures out a way to do the same thing with ADB. Thanks
Is it compatible now?
