Hey guys,
What size should I crop images to, in order for it to work properly with the Moto X PE as wallpapers?
Thanks
I've been using either 2560x2880 or 2560x1440.

Thanks, I tried a couple 2560x1440 but when I swipe screen left/right, the image doesn't move like the default wallpapers. What gives?

The 1440 is basically the width of the screen so it is not scroll-able. The 2880 width will scroll. I've also had issues when using PNG files. Produces a black bar at the bottom of the screen. JPGs work flawlessly.

I seriously need this for the NS. 240 looks too big coming from N1's 180. build.prop doesn't help. Any takers?

LCD Density Changer The App?
I am using the free one From thE Market and it works amazing. I have it set to 180 and there is much of a change. Widgets look really small tho! Give it a shot!

Yeah, it's on the market, and here on XDA
Thanks for the replies, guys. I'm too cheap to pay for something so simple. So, I whipped out the old adb pull, notepad++, and push method.

I'm using Launcher Pro. So, the widgets are resizeable.

Whoa 180 looks great!

180 is way to small, and also doesn't function right... I would press on something and a blue bar would pop up where I was touching.

280? You mean 180? Your sig says Desire Z. 280 would be giant on the NS, I'm using 215 and it looks nice. I noticed that anything other than stock 240 results in some banding issues on some window headers, such as the gray banner on the notification pulldown.
LOL, I tried out 280 to see what it looks like and the homescreen icons are so big they're rubbing up against each other.

I totally agree with the banding but I can't stand large text and the amount of icons you can fit in the 240. I have 5 home screens (5 icons x 8 icons each).

Hello! I'm running CM10.1 on my 8.9 and would like to show images truly full screen when looking through gallery. Is there anyway to do this? Some kind of auto hide bar like in Windows at the launcher level or even just a new viewing app?

Go to settings, system, power menu, and check extended desktop. Then tap the power button to bring up the power menu and enable it.

Worth a try but no dice. Oddly the black bars are still there in the gallery after doing this. The image will snap to full screen for a moment and then resize as though the bars were still there. Thanks for the effort.

Lame. Does that happen with quick pic and other photo viewers too?

I tried a couple others that had weird resizing issues; like they would muddy the render or something. Quickpic fixed it... Thanks so much!
Is there any utility that can make my high resolution wallpapers fit to screen size because cropping them by default app ruins it.

I didn't like the look of other launchers. The icons always seemed to small. I use Apex on my phone.

I couldn't find the original file. So I made a blank screen and cropped out my notification bar. It's from a Tab Pro 8.4. Hope it formats well to your note 8.

If you look at the stock wallpaper long enough you will find it is a rat climbing down a tree on the right side

What wallpaper resolution do you use? I can't find one which looks good on it. They are either blurry or cropped wrong?

Hello. This is a screenshot of my girlfriends s5. Trying to figure out what this red film icon is. It's stuck on her screen. It is almost like it's part of the wallpaper because if you move between screens, it stays where it is. You can't click on it or long clock on it either. Tried changing wallpapers and it did not fix it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
She is using Nova launcher, FYI.

Not sure what caused it. It was the same icon as play video or whatever it's called. Got rid of it by restarting her phone. Very strange.
