Is screen mirroring on rooted cc possible?

At the moment I connect my nexus 5 to the TV with a slimport adaptor and using mx player any video on my phone can be played on my TV. I understand this isn't possible with a non rooted chromecast at the moment, but I have the chance to buy a rooted chromecast. My question is would I be able to play any video mx player supports and send it to a rooted chromecast?

MX Player, no.
But on a rooted Chromecast with PwnedCast v1.1 ROM installed (it includes KyoCast) and the proper patched AllCast version, videos in formats that Chromecast supports that can be viewed in Gallery can be Shared to AllCast and play on Chromecast.
Keep in mind that streaming content from phone/tablet is not Chromecast's primary playback intent.

How good is chromecast for playing videos store on the phone?

I have all my movie content downloaded using tTorrent to my phone and play them with DicePlayer or VLC for Android. How well will Chromecast be to play these movies on the TV using Diceplayer or VLC?
You can't use those apps. You need all cast, avia or local cast. Also Chromecast basically only supports mp4's. It plays pretty well but keep in mind this isn't what the Chromecast was designed for. It was meant to cast videos directly from the internet. This will give you significant battery drain over casting from the web directly.

Live streaming not working

I am using tv cast + ccloudtv.org to cast live stream channels. Many channels are working on my mobile but i fail casting them to chromecast. I think the problem is because chrome cast not supporting some videos extensions. Is there a way to make chrome cast support all live streaming channels?
Most times it is an incompatible codec or streaming format that breaks on Chromecast.
Is there a way to make chrome cast support these formats?

Is there any Miracast players so I can stream directly to my tv quickly?

I noticed I get the icon to mirror my phone to my LG tv immediately when I'm using my youtube app but not when I play a movie with the stock video player. Is there a video app that has built in Miracast? I'll try VLC since it mentions Miracast and see when I get home.

Native miracast is hit and miss as Google seems to have coded it to not fully work as to move users to Chromecast. Try LocalCast on playstore and play with the settings to see if that works.
I personally have never been able to cast successfully on my N6. I caved in and bought a Chromecast lol
I'll probably get a roku and I think it can cast to it but it might need a casting app for the roku and for the phone
