Dear All,
I am on Sprint HTC One M8 (831C), was install with 5.02 - RUU H/K exe, S-OFF, using the GSM Carrier Vodafone- India.
Four days back was roaming out from my state, while in flight I kept it in air plane mode, the phone felt down and the problem emerged.
NO sim Card, also the phone's camera has is not working. I unlocked the the bootloader, installed twrp and swiped the Bad boyz Sprint ONE M8 Lollipop HK v3.2, assuming that I may resolve the issue but no Luck.
I have tried the sieempi.eu tick, also from settings but it says that your phone will switch to CDMA mode.
Request experts, to suggest the workable solution please...
Regards
Karan
Make full twrp/cwm backup. Clean flash any custom 4.4 kitkat rom, and do simunlock using this method. Restore full backup. If it still doesn't work then you probably broke the simcard/reader when you dropped it.
Dial *#*#4636#*#*
and select GSM/UMTS
here the solution

i try it
and resolved my problem

Got the HTC One (says M7 in the bootloader) from HTC directly. Popped in my SIM card and it connected right away to AT&T's LTE network. Now I'm unlocking and installing the recovery in hopes of a new ROM.
so...
1) Which version of the HTC One is this, ie which version of Recovery software do I install?
2) Does this matter, or is the recovery compatible across versions of the One?
Sorry for the newbage, but I figure I'd better ask than potentially brick myself.
Hi there,
Yesterday I bought a Japanese HTC ONE (HTC J one, HTL22, M7-WLJ, Provider is AU-KDDI, it has a simcard).
As it was full of bloatware I S-offed using revolutionary (htcdev isnt allowed by AU) and flashed a recovery. Then I proceeded to flash Viper One. I asked in the thread if it would work and the answer was as long as it's not a dual sim device you should probably be fine.
So I flashed and ended up with a bootloop. No big deal as I backed up my original rom. I turned off my phone as it was pretty late already. When I turned my phone back on again it wouldn't boot into recovery anymore, it would just say entering recovery and then reboot. I tried reflashing the recovery again but it still just reboots when entering recovery.
So I asked in the TWRP thread what to do. "flash a RUU". Now the problem is that I can't a RUU.exe for this model.
Long story short, how do I get my phone working again? I assume I can't just flash a WWE asia version? From what I can gather the hardware still supports GSM networks.. so maybe it doesnt matter? I suppose if the hardware supports both networks it's just a matter of the correct settings/drivers being available in a rom?

Look up hasoon2000 on bing and click the second link (should be a dev-host site)
Navigate to the One folder.
Download and extract the One all in one toolkit version 3.1
Put your phone in fastboot mode (Power and volume down button, should say "FASTBOOT USB" in red.
Try reflashing TWRP from toolkit to see if it works.
Hello,
I have tried both the ViperOne & insertcoin Roms & both invoke the phone lock screen on startup & I don't know what the passport is. Conversely, GPE (Lollipop 5.0.1) does not, however, the wi-fi is not working with this Rom.
I have tried factory resets, advanced wiping (Twrp) followed be re-installs but to no avail.
I bought the phone on ebay, supposedly unlocked & usable in my region (SE Asia), which it isn't. I still have the original sprint SIM card.
Any suggestions on how to solve this issue ?
Thanks

No My Phone is Sprint One M8, but I do flash the H/K version by changing SuperCid
Hello,
I moved your off topic conversation to Q&A as it does not belong in a development thread.
Thanks,
Sloth
Have a total recovery to have a try.
In call settings does it help to turn on hearing aids?

Hello,
I am facing similar problem with my HTC M8 Sprint HK version. It was there on stock recovery with official 6.0 MM version. I am using GSM sim with the phone. I just did a factory reset from settings and since then I am facing unusual problem.
When I make or receive calls, I do not hear audio from earpiece ( other person can hear me) but switching to speaker works fine. I have tried many steps so far but still no luck . It works rarely but problem arises again.
The Device is currently S-On with boot-loader unlocked and TWRP 3.0 installed with Firmware version 6.20.654.3
I tried the steps below:
-- Did factory reset again.
-- Changed the network mode from GSM/UMTS to GSM and automatic mode.
-- Tried with a different sim.
-- Used code +#+#3424#*#* and checked the hardware using audio test. It works fine.
-- Unlocked the boot-loader and installed TWRP.
-- Tried Bad Boyz ROM 6.0 but still the issue is same.
-- Checked in Safe mode and the problem is there as well.
-- Used Code *#*#4636#*#* and tried various network mode.
-- Tried to flash ViperOne 5.0.2 and NuSenSeven 6.0 but they failed to install.
I tried searching a lot but did not find a proper fix. The call and Data (2G/3G) works along with data hotspot.
Please anyone help me in fixing the issue. This problem of call audio is very annoying. I would be glad to provide more information if required.
Thanks in advance...
hi guys:
i have same problem, I bought a refublished htc m8. it has custom rom ice mashmallow 6.0. firmware sprint.
Hello,
This is my first HTC Phone and i have just unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP + Custom ROM. I currently use XenonHD and on first boot the SIM Card was not detected. After a factory reset in Recovery, it was detected but i can still not make calls or send sms. in the info section in the settings it says the SIM is "in service" but cellular is not connected. Everything seemed to work fine on stock rom and i hope someone can help me fix this issue.
thx
Are you sure you have the correct rom for your device? There are three different, international (m7_ul, m7_u), verizon (m7vzw) and sprint (m7spr). If you take the wrong rom that could cause those problems. Did you test the device with stock rom before unlocking and so on?
i have the m7_ul variant here and i use this rom: http://www.xenonhd.com/# (specifically the "m7" variant. it is the device of a friend and it was fully functional with the stock rom
