Error msg: Phone not allowed MM #6

Hi guy,
I recently reported my phone lost, got it blacklisted by tmobile. I since then found it and then called up to have it unblacklisted again.
However, it seems to work on the tmobile network fine. However, when i put in another sim card in the phone (the phone is unlocked) i get the error msg hone not allowed MM #6.
My assumption/hope is that the databases for the network providers need updating.
Can someone confirm is a phone which has been reported lost(blacklisted) and then found(unblacklisted) will work on all networks?
It's more likely that your phone isn't SIM unlocked so it sees the new SIM and then tells you "T-Mobile is the only SIM I'll accept."
I'm in Bolivia. I have a samsung galaxy s, I unlocked with SUperOneClick (for rooting) and sgs tool to unlock it. Then after using a local carrier for about two weeks my phone got the mm#6 error. I was looking for solutions, and then my brother realized that I have to register the phone with the line (IMEI with line). Here in Bolivia exists a law that block phones if they are not registered at someones name and Id. So with nothing to lose, I called assitance of the carrier and register the IMEI I found in the Android menu (About phone>status>IMEI) with the GSM chip/line I have. Wait for 20 minutes and voilá! phone got signal and it's working now. I hope still working from now and on. SO IF YOU HAVE THIS TROUBLE CALL YOUR CARRIER AND REGISTER YOUR PHONE'S IMEI WITH THE LINE YOU ARE USING, IT'S SIMPLE. YOU CAN TRY THAT BEFORE GETTING INTO SOFTWARE STUFF.
HOPE THIS HELP SOMEBODY.
GOOD LUCK!

[Q] Code required to unlock

The company I purchased my note from sent me this just now (mine comes today):
Hello First of all, I’d like to thank you for your business. It has come to our attention that some of the White Samsung Galaxy Note’s that we shipped the past 7 days are prompting users to enter a code when turned on for the first time. After discussing this with our distributor, we were able to isolate this problem to only 10 specific units. We are not able to pinpoint who receive these items, so we’re sending this email to all of our Galaxy Note customers. If you turn on your Galaxy Note, with your SIM card inserted, and it asks you to enter a code, please let us know and we will provide you with the code. We ask that you email us your IMEI number, that way we can provide you with the proper code. You can find your IMEI number on the box, or on the back of the phone in the battery compartment. After entering the code, the phone will never ask you to enter a code again.

Has anyone else seen something like this?
It sounds exactly like what I did to carrier unlock my AT&T note, but this is an international version.
Thanks!

[Q] Phone Genius Needed- Can't unlock from AT&T

Hi there, I'm a completely frustrated noob. I thought unlocking my device would be as simple as putting in the unlock code I got from an online service (I've since tried another service, and got the same code) but as soon as I typed it in, it acted like the code was accepted but then I got a message that said Phone Not Allowed mm#6 upon start up.
I took it to Tmobile to try and set up a plan, but they couldn't get the device to register on their network. Tmobile is listed on the phone, but it can't connect.
Since there is no longer a prompt for an unlock code, I tried typing in all the alternatives *#7465625*CODE etc, but the phone doesn't accept any of them.
I've also tried getting to the debug screen, phone control, and network lock- but my debug screen only has 5 choices... and phone control isn't one of them. This is what my phone won't let me do-> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265089&page=2
The phone was never activated on AT&T. I purchased from someone the day it was released. I tried doing the unlock on a brand new Tmobile sim card, and when I went into the phone store- the girl also put in a different sim card, but still no prompt.
Please tell me there is hope, and that I'm overlooking some stupid setting. I feel like an idiot since it's almost been 2 months of failure. :crying:
I hope someone can help! Thanks!

That thread is for the Galaxy S4, not the ACTIVE... So yeah, There will probably be a different method released for this one
What... but this is in the Galaxy S4 Active Q&A.. do you mean that this is for the non-AT&T Active?

No, I have the AT&T Galaxy S4 Active, and I'm trying to unlock it so I can use it on Tmobile's new No Contract Plan.
I'm stupid *edit* .

Sooo... when might that be? Is there another solution? I reallllly need this phone unlocked and working. I hate carrying around 2 phones =[
if you are trying to sim unlock you need to throw a different sim card in it. shut it down, put tmobile sim in it, then when you reboot it should ask for sim unlock code. which you can get from your carrier provider.

Locked new device to wrong carrier

Hey guys,
I really messed up
So I received a Samsung Note 5 SM-N920W8 directly from Samsung. I need to use a Rogers SIM card in it. Not know if the device was locked or not, I thought I would try a non-Rogers SIM in it... I put in a Virgin mobile SIM and it worked. I thought to myself "GREAT, this is factory unlocked, WOO!" Until a few days later when I put in the Rogers SIM that I need to use in the device, and it asked for an unlock code.
Tried buy a code online for both Rogers and Virgin, no luck. Of course not, since the phone never went through carrier fulfilment
For work reasons, I need to use the Rogers SIM in the phone. Both of which are provided by work.
I never realized the phone would lock itself... I thought this was something only Apple did, where they ship the device unlocked, and it locks to the first carrier SIM inserted. I did not know Samsung did the same thing! Was I wrong in thinking this?
How can I get this unlocked? I'm trying to avoid rooting, as it would trip Knox.
There's no such a thing like sim lock option on any Samsung devices
I'm the biggest Samsung fan
Once you buying sim free device from Samsung it's always be sim free
I thinking you must be doing something wrong with settings
Nope, it's asking for SIM unlock code lol
What to do?
How did you receive a phone 'directly from Samsung'? That option doesn't exist in Canada - but in any event, your phone appears to be locked to Bell/Virgin. Phones don't lock themselves based on the SIM you put in. And why don't you ask whoever you acquired the phone from? If you acquired it legally, this shouldn't be an issue; if you didn't, you shouldn't be here asking for help.
