How can I install Xposed framework without TWRP? - Sprint LG G4

I have tried via Flashify but cannot get it to work. I'm used to doing everything via TWRP but I know it is not an option at this time.
Any thoughts? How to install Xposed without TWRP? Currently on rooted ZV6.

Flashify only works if you have a custom recovery. AFAIK you can't flash the framework without it

Flashfire works without recovery.

That's the exact reason Flashfire was made.

Got it working!
I was able to get it done via Flashfire. A bit difficult to find the app initially, but WORKS like a CHARM! Rooted with Xposed, fully working and tweaked to the gills.
I don't know if it is against the rules to post the Flashfire link.

Follow the instructions on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/themes-apps/guide-installing-xposed-locked-t3181593
In addition you can download v79 instead of v74 as the instructions suggest and it will work fine.

Autorec doesn't use a zip, it just does the behind the scene things needed to flash TWRP then flashes it. Can you clarify what you're trying to do?

As far as I could see that latest AUTORec.apk installation is now included with TWRP already. After rooted my phone, installed AUTOREC, grant root and flashing customer recovery image straight aways, I could flash some ZIP file but not those ROM such VS98011A, VS98024A, VS98026A, etc all return FAIL - Can't Read Zip file. But I from AutoREC recovery menu, I could install Spirit ROM.zip and others.
Why only those stock ROM in zip format are FAIL to be flashed from within AUTOREC/TWRP ????

Autorec flashes TWRP, that's it, once in recovery you're just using TWRP. You can delete Autorec from your phone after you're done flashing TWRP. Anyway, you can't install stock releases via TWRP unless a dev modifies one to be flashed. Care to point to one of the zip's you're trying to flash?

Correct, AutoRec comes with 2.7.0.0. I tried upgrading Twrp by flashing the latest Twrp zip and it failed. I guess it's just my device. I looked for the 2.8.1.0. Img file but couldn't find it.

Downlaload TWRP 2.8.1.0
Please note: if you're having a problem with twrp 2.8.1.0 asking for password..

Hey!
Thanks a lot. Really helped solve my problem!
No problem
This doesn't belong in Development.
Actually i am not sure where should this be.. I'd request modders to please move it to the correct board!
Thanks man!

Since you've probably lost your custom recovery upgrading to 5.0.1, you can grab the TWRP images for Nexus 5 here: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/hammerhead
I believe you need to use 2.8.1.0 since 2.8.2.0 either doesn't work or is causing problems for many users.

How did you update from a rooted (with CF-Auto Root) 5.0 to 5.0.1 you just received the OTA and installed it without any problems ?
I like to know because i am on 5.0 stock just rooted with CF_Auto root.
So no more need for CF-Auto?
Just flashing SuperSU zip with TWRP is enough?

Guys, i installed the 5.0.1 update by fastboot flashing system, boot and radio. I lost my custom recovery tho (CWR). I now tried to install TWRP, but after flashing the recovery image, the recovery still hasnt changed. Could i just flash CRW or should i use TWRP for this version?

This. I flash with it here since 4.4.4 and it did everything just fine. Not only it is an app to automatically root, but it gives very good hints, and provides lots of others features like installing Apks, getting a adb prompt, and so much more. Greatest third party Android app I have tried. Highly recommended, didn't even had to wait they update it for 5.0.1, as soon I got the 5.0.1 OTA notification, Nexus Root Toolkit was already ready for it.

This is lollipop security, custom recover wouldn't stick, after each reboot it will replaced with stock one, of course there is a way to make it sticky just search the forum.

installing TWRP

I rooted my z3c with Kingroot. Now trying to install TWRP from TWRP Manager app.
After download it says "Ensure the partition listed below ...." and says "/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/FOTAKernal"
Is that correct? Don't wanna brick...
Yes its correct, however i am not 100% sure kingroot works well with TWRP.

I actually just gave up with that, used flashtool to get to firmware 23.0A.2.93 and used giefroot to root, and install TWRP from that.
Kingroot does root, but isn't the best, I would suggest you use giefroot if possible.

I'm writing this up in case anyone else needs help.
1) Couldn't get the 7.1.1 download to work from sammobile. Ended up downloading the firmware from another source and flashing through Odin. Took a couple of minutes to reboot after the flash.

Upgrading without un-rooting OP3T

I am upgrading my OP3T from 5.0.1 to 5.0.3. My device is rooted using magisk and I have TWRP installed.
The system updates says -
"Root is detected, system will begin dowloading the full package. Your device will be un-rooted once the upgrade is completed."
Now my questions are
1. How to install the upgrade (5.0.3) without unrooting it ?
2. As it says it'll un-root my device, does it also mean it'll wipe my data as well ?
EDIT - I read about Dirty flashing the version I want but I can't find 5.0.3 image on Oneplus website.

Nothing will be lost even if you don't flash Magisk, so yes.
And Rastaviper meant that when you flash the update via TWRP, you don't reboot, but right after flashing the ROM you flash Magisk and then reboot, this way you will stay rooted.

That only happens if you reboot the phone while on the stock boot image. If you use a patched boot image, or a custom kernel, or Magisk, then the stock recovery doesn't overwrite the current recovery.
