Sprint HTC One - Global use

Hi
some many posts but very confusing.
i want to buy a htc one sprint. can i use it globally incl GSM ? if so wat shud i do. i want to CDMA to. mostly i wil use it outside USA. ?
Shud the phone be rooted / flashed or unlock code from sprint ll do ?

wrong section for starters.
sprint doesnt use unlock codes.
they push an unlock to your phone.
they are the only carrier that uses a back door method.
how do i know?
i had to fight with sprint for weeks to get them to unlock my phone so i could use it in spain.
sprint is very difficult when it comes to this procedure. and although you may have received a confirmation unlock email from sprint, your phone may not be unlocked.
it is a hassle.

you talk to sprint. then they push an update to your phone.
you dont put in a code or anything.
they push the unlock to your phone.

Actually this has a builtin app to unlock the phone search it up on the general section u should see SIM unlock. U might have to dig around the tread for the instuructions.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2386703 that's the thread with the video tutorial. U probably should of posted this on the Q&A section

Crazy phone and sim problem sim locked

Hello evrybody,
I came here from sensation xda theard because:
Yesterday night a friend ask me to activate him the 3g mobile data on a tablet, I tooked out the sim from the tablet to put it in my phone an I9000 factory unlocked and then to check the apn settings to set them in the tablet, I saw the settings and did the correct settings but when I put back my sim in the phone the phone ask me for network unlock code ..... I check also the sim in another phone and guess what, the sim is broken I will go to replace it but what shell I do with the phone wich is asking me about the sim unlock code I tried allso to flash it with original firmware by odin and allso I put inside a good sim from the same carrier..... Please help me

IF you had USIM card lock activated in settings>locations and security>.setup USIM card lock> you need to untick lock USIM card and remove password.
If you did not activate it, try 00000 or 0000 (would be default password) not too sure look up your user manual would have information concerning it. You can download user manual from PIT STOP link below

[Q] Unable to save added APN

I'm preparing to permanently unlock the SIM (using device unlock) of my G920T once I get my 40 days in. Meanwhile, I was trying to just add the AT&T APN and went through all the steps and entered all the data, but it never saved as it does not show up in the list. Only the T-Mobile APN shows up. Does the device have to be unlocked first before I can add an APN? Does anyone have any experience with this?

I came seem to get an answer from anyone, so I will ask once again.
1. Are you able to add and save an APN while the SIM is still locked?
2. Are you able to add and save an APN after the SIM is unlocked? (I should think so)

I made a tmobile ipv4 apn with no issues

I figured it out. If the SIM is Locked, you won't be able to save a new APN if the MNC field is different than 260 (T-Mobile). AT&T has a MNC of 410

Got a G4 from AT&T and unlocked but with Tmobile network. Can I flash a tmobile rom?

So right now I can't turn on hotspot and never get software update.
Also can't receive service massage.
Is that because my att phone with tmobile network?
If is please tell me how to fix it? maybe get tmobile rom?

Nope. You need to look into att sub forums for flashing anything. Tmobile firmware is different you will brick it it you do that. Check if there is global port to your model and read the OP before flashing anything.

I can do everything except update the firm and use hotspot.

The correct apn is Fast.T-Mobile.com
Check that on your apn settings on apn type you have DUN written there.

The apn was correct. Do have a dash between t-mobile.
I have 4G lte connection works very well.
I thought may because my Hardware is H810 and using tmobile sim card to cause that?

I Suppose it's because you have a ATT version.
You should flash a Global Rom for you'r hotspot to work.
Edit: I was looking on into H810 forums but didn't see any Global rom.
I think it's because of the locked bootloader.

So I have a sprint note 8 I am a Verizon customer I just got the phone and is not working only when roaming setting are on should I flash the Verizon stock firmware or try to fix the apn setting I been out the android game for a while would appreciate some help thanks

Flashing Verizon Firmware should be your best bet then...

I'm having a trouble getting it to work phone stays in roaming won't connect to Verizon network I flash all the Verizon files seem to work then when it boots up is still sprint logo phone is unlocked and all I do not know what I'm doing wrong

Go to the 3 hash mark on top left, go down to the Other Tools, then go to csc changer (root) and change to verizon csc.
Furthermore you could use shortcut master, you could search Devconfig and launch it and change csc that way.
Either way youll need root, so my suggestions, flash samfail v2 or 1 depending on ur bootloader version, then use the above app and set your csc and enjoy. @darkjoker11
You also could try ##72786# and let it reboot and clear the activation, if it was on sprint before then that may be the issue as well, this is a sprint shortcode to deactivate it and cause it to re-register.
