i got my x2 yesterday.
anyway justed looked at lg's uk web site and it say's there an update.
has anyone tryed it? or know what it updates?
There is no update atm, regardless from what the page says. The "Update" just loads the drivers to your PC and lets you install the PC Suite...
The LG Update server is working
But no updates yet.
When I bought this phone here in Brazil
I was shipped with LPA firmware, I could update using my internet connection
I updated to LPD, this was about, three months ago
Now I decided to give LPD a try again, but now that I flashed through Odin, I can't check for updates using 3g anymore, only WiFi
Is there a solution to this??, otherwise I won't be able to use OTA updates anymore...
No matter I resolved it just do a factory reset and everything will go back to normal
BTW there is no more updates to LPD since april, looks like sammy stopped supporting Brazil
Since no updates here so far...
Hi all!!
Im trying to update my Chromecast to the latest firmare (15250 to the latest) but the OTA wont appear. I tried rebooting and factory settings..
I guess its because I live in Chile and the Chromecast is not officialy supported here..
is there a way to manually update the chromecast??
(sorry for my poor english)
Unless you have root, you can't manually update. If you're connected via a VPN, try connecting to normal plain Internet.
Hello everyone,
I already investigated some, but I guess I can make a threat, because I know someone else experienced the same.
Friend and I bought same phone, same day, from same operator. Soo far, he is getting OTA updates normaly (current version L19-C432B182), but mine phone not getting any, and whenever I check, there is no update.
At the end I had to update phone using L09 full B182 update (which is working fine), but does anyone know what can cause the problem, and will I get future OTA updates? Only "custom" thing that I have different from my friend's phone is custom font... which I belief is not the cause of the problem. If someone have idea what could cause the problem, please say so, and is it smart to return it to operator.
Best regards,
Zetra
I've just rolled back to B182 and would like to update to EMUI 5 B378 which I was on before.
I have firmware finder and know how to use the proxy settings etc, I just don't know which one to choose in order to safely update, (I tried B361 using the proxy method but the update failed).
The Huawei updater says I'm on the newest version, if I need to dload B361 which one do I use? update.zip, update_full or update_full_public?
Thanks
You do it incrementally if you want to be safe. Proxy method requires you to use the older hisuite software and not the latest one.

The next one up (in FirmwareFinder) is B360 but the fullOTA just fails to install both with the dialpad software update and dload method, same issue with B361
Try B383. I had the same issue, and it B383 worked for me.

Thanks for the replies
I've just tried 383 and it gets to 14% and then fails , I emailed huawei who said "wipe your cache partition and factory reset" which did nothing and I contacted huawei livechat through the hicare app who said "you just have to wait for OTA updates, cause they're rolled out in batches".
I have a feeling that I'm going to be stuck with marshmallow (which I can deal with I guess), as nothing seems to want to work for me it's a strange and fickle world for Huawei updates it seems, what works for some doesn't for others

It's strange. Once I got to C432 through rebranding I had to reboot and factory reset several times and try all different versions of Nougat until I finally got it working.
