I rooted my Nexus 6P running stock 6.0.1 and installed Xposed framework (ver 79), but then I found that I cannot login to Snapchat with the Xposed framework installed.
I went to uninstall it, but the uninstall button in the installer app is greyed out. Is there an alternative way to uninstall Xposed?
Use the Uninstaller zip. The in app options like that and reboot don't work

Thanks, man. I should have seen that on my own. Been playing around with my new Nexus 6P all night must be making me lose my focus.
Where can I find the uninstaller zip?
It is usually there where you downloaded the installation zip.
Sent from my SM-N910C using XDA Free mobile app
"could not extract meta-inf/com/google/android/update-binary"
this is what I get in TWRP when I try to flash that file. Any thoughts?
Even I would love to know if the uninstaller works properly.
I'm trying to uninstall Xposed Framework from my OPO for the same reasons (Snapchat's geofilters don't work when Xposed is installed) and would know if this method works properly. Thanks in advance.

I dirty flashed my ROM and every time I update, I'll flash the framework zip again. But on the last update it didn't get deleted. Will that be because I didn't delete the dalvik/cache?

Hi all, i am on my s4(verizon) and have just successfully installed hyperdrive rom(version:16) which is currently 4.4
Anyway, xposed installer comes integrated in the ROM, and when i try to update it by pressing the install/update it doesn't do anything.
when i try to do this manually, i get an error: (refer to screenshot)
This also applies to the App Settings Module
The reason i discovered this is when i tried to use a module it stated that my xposed bridge wasn't updated.
Any Ideas On How To Fix?

That's the problem. You have to uninstall the preinstalled version first. For help, please use the ROM's thread.

You can try. I recommend you to wipe cache and dalvik/art cache too and test with this module.

What module exactly are you people having problems with? The question was in regard to a message that everyone received on the alpha1 build. If you have a module specific question, take it to the module forum.
I have the same issue. Some modules are not working properly. This is what I did to fix it.
1. Download SE Linux changer from Play Store and change SE Linux to Permissive.
2. After activating modules, soft reboot via Xposed Installer.
That should do it.

Are you sure the module is supported? What specific module? My greenify 2.6 beta 5 and some other modules like bootmanager, g3 tweakbox are working as intended. (some tweaks in tweakbox have no effect but that's tweakbox's issue, not xposed)
i have the same problem, i followed every installation step but when i open xposed it show "Installation is only possible manually via recovery for now"
then i try your advice

Not all devices work, yet. This is ALPHA software... Alpha1 didn't work on my S4, but alpha2 did. Probably as simple as that. Or its the rom you are running. Be patient, and hopefully support will come to your device. If you can't wait, you can always downgrade to 4.4.4 and enjoy xposed for kitkat. Rovo89 is doing everything he can. Give it time.
I'm a nobody here or anywhere running (CM12 5.0.2 7105 Xposed alpha2) on att Note 2. I get the same saying to manually recover and have greyed out buttons except reboot. I installed xposed arm then apk. After update i have to reinstall xposed arm again to get it working. I have bern messing around, so trial and error. I got gravity box running but only a few parts work. Stay updated and just be patient and let the experts work.
I've just installed (tried to) Xposed Framework on my Nexus 4 Stock ROM with 5.0.1 downloading the Installer 3.0 alpha2 from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811 but it show the same message.
It refers to the Framework or the modules?
Also, I cannot enable any module since the Framework isnt active.
I have solved same problem. Follow me, go in xposed --> Framework --> soft reboot, than activate your modules or download it --> soft reboot. That's it! Even if you have the sentece "Installation is only possible manually via recovery for now" the xposed work fine.

There are a lot of Modules which may cause a bootloop on Android L (especially on Android 5.1). And since Xposed does not come with a disabler zip for Android L, you cannot disable it from recovery in case of bootloop. For this reason, I created a flashable Xposed Disabler that can disable Xposed from recovery, in case of a bootloop. I also created an enabler in case if you disabled it using the disabler zip.
Any problems with the zip files, please inform me.
Well it Does disable it ( I am on 5.0 )
But ... How I can re enable it back? I tried reflashing exposed again No affect
exposed
To reenable xposed after using the zip, just delete the disable file in /data/data/de.robv.xposed.installer/config
Just use a root explorer and delete disabled from data/data/de.robv.xposed.installer/config
Is this only work for Android L? I'm still on stock jellybean. Would like to have a diabler for my version to.
Samsung roms?

How does this work? Does it remove the Xposed stuff or temporarily block access to it unless you use the re-enabler?
It creates a empty "disabled" file in "\data\data\de.robv.android.xposed.installer\conf" which disables the Xposed module until the file is deleted either by the flashable zip or manually deleting the file.
Thanks! Works like a charm on 5.1!
Saved a couple of hours of flashing and restoring data!

Hi there!
Does these work on last Xposed alpha4 by rovo89?
I have a Samsung TouchWiz deodexed rom and I'm using alpha 4 with arter97's Krait V5 and everything is fine, but as rovo89's uninstallers does not work on this combination, the only easy to get out a bootloop is to use a disabler/enabler solution.
Can you confirm that these also work on last rovo89's release?
Tnx.

Hi,
I use Xposed V85 for MIUI (on Redmi Note 2) bad this solution doesn't work for me. I need for temporary disabled xposed because Horizon Go (UPC) have problem with framework. Can you have any solution without permanetly uninstall xposed ?
Is there a way to use it without custom recovery? I'm stuck in bootloop with stock recovery, please help
I'm sure a lot of people know that Snapchat has blocked Android users from using their app if they have Xposed installed. I'll pay anyone $30 if they can help me use Snapchat on my XT1060 on Android 5.1(Moto X Verizon), either by removing Xposed or by other means. Thank you!
1. Uninstall xposed.
2. Sign in to your Snapchat account.
3. Reinstall xposed.
Try not to sign out next time . Let me know if it helps.
or if you have some tablet or other phone witouth xposed but rooted ... log in, create a backup with titanium and send the data to your phone later restore the data and voila!
I've tried both of those methods and it still didn't work.

Did you try wiping the data and cache of Snapchat after you uninstalled xposed?
when @Android_noob17 said "uninstall xposed" did you just uninstall the Xposed Installer or did you uninstall the Xposed Framework. Because you need to uninstall the Framework, the Installer app can be left on. then after its off, clear the cache and data of Snapchat, then login, then reinstall the Framework.

What did u do exacly? I uninstalled Snapchat and then installed 9.21.1.0 version and now i can't log in.
Boot to recovery and flash the xposed-uninstaller found here.
Reboot your device and log in on Snapchat, I use version 9.21.1.0.
Make a Titanium backup of your Snapchat.
Reboot to recovery and flash the xposed framework again.
Reboot again and you'll be inside Snapchat again, if you log out and log in again you'll have the same problem.

Hi all,
I have a Nexus 5 on Marshmellow. I installed the framework 80 through recovery. The buttons in the app are disabled. It's kind of hard to search for, but haven't been able to find anything. Is there a way to re-enable those? Root access (via SuperSU) is allowed.
It says "xposed framework version 80 is active"
I've used the uninstaller for the framework as well, and they still remain disabled.
Thanks!

Because how xposed is installed and works since lollipop those buttons will probably never work. They are a holdover from the earlier installer.
