Here is your Christmas present.
I have created a stock rom of 6.0 marshmallow that you can flash via custom recovery. The only modifications that I have made are to remove the motrola OTA service, that way there will be no bricks from people taking an OTA and it won't bother anyone about OTA update messages. The recovery flasher was removed to prevent it from overwriting the custom recovery.
Installation:
1) If you are coming from another rom, or a different version of android you must do a factory reset.
2) Install the zip file through TWRP/CWM/etc.
3) Enjoy.
Download 6.0
Verizon CDMA users:
If you use verizon service please flash this file to to get cdma working:
Download verizon script

Would it be possible for you to make one for xt1092 eu version too? Would be awesome!
Ooh and offcourse a merry christmas to you too.

Thanks a ton! One question tho: can I Flash supersu (2.52, 2.61-2.64 systemless? ) to get root? I think I read somewhere that unless we use custom kernel, flashing supersu is going to cause bootloops. (currently I run cm 12.1)
Happy Holidays to you too!

Use the kernel in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-2014/development/root-root-moto-x-2014-android-t3249105
Also use 2.52, don't use 2.61-2.64, they cause force closes and crashes and make the phone unusable.

No. When you flash this it only flashes the system and kernel, nothing else. The radio does not change, nor the bootloader.

So, should I update my bootloader first before installing this one ? I'm still on stock 5.1 though.
If yes, where should I search for the new one ?

No, you don't need to flash bootloader nor radios for this to work. Just install this .zip from TWRP and it will work, no extra steps are necessary.

AGISCI thanks a ton for the stock 6.0 rom!!! I personally think moto's little enhancements here and there is start separates moto from other OEM's! Yes I enjoy Google Android/custom roms, but there is nothing like up to date moto software on victara! Lol so thanks again it the stock rom, it's most certainly my daily driver from here on out!!! BTW no force closes, or lags, or issues of any sort in the 12 hours I've been running it. Thumbs up and thank you for working on what people want, YOU THE MAN!!!!!
Just wanted to add that xposed is fully working, no errors, or force closing!!! Merry Christmas to everybody!!! 6.0 stock rom, no hangups, with xposed installed AGISCI THANKS FOR THIS GIFT!!!
Hi, I get a boot loop when I flash this over cm13.
I did a factory reset from twrp first and installs fine and I selected no to the root.
I have the pure T-Mobile edition from about a year ago if that matters.
Flashed this on an XT1093 (US Cellular) and did not have network data. Any thoughts?

From fastboot try:
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase cache
Then see if it boots. Also what model is your phone?

US Cellular uses CDMA. The xt1095 is GSM. If you change to a GSM company such as tmobile, at&t, etc it will work 100%. But this will never be compatible with US Cellular nor Verizon since they both use CDMA.

Does this rom have a "new" Radio/Baseband Firmware included ?
How good is this version?? I mean... quadrant or antutu score, I have the latest retail brazil firmware and is an excellent one, the only problem is that I can't get root.
matt
as it seems that my phone is not elligible to be rooted according to the motorola website does this mean that if I use this "routine" it will unlock my phone and root it so I can remove waste apps etc
excuse the ignorance but I want to be sure
thanks
whats the news for that rom?
Matt, any comments about flashing this over .3900 gb retail to try and work around the current inability to upgrade to 4.1.2?
How would it effect a currently unlocked / rooted version? We wouldnt be digging a deeper hole would we?

For upgrading and downgrading you should be using the Homemade fastboots.
Hi, when I flashed this I got bootloop - so for me at least, DO wipe data. Also, root seems to appear, but every app on my phone complains that there is no root. I'm trying to find what root we used for ICS ...
UPDATE: Ok I uninstalled all superuser material and tried the ICS mototofail (locked bootloader, I didn't realise the BL would be relocked after downgrading) and some apps are accepting root status -some still say no root-. That is progress.
Hai, Anyone can upload Stock 81.5.31002 GB ICS say in homemade fastboot or CWM? Thanks.
is that stock kernel have a "2way callrecording patch" inside ?

This may not be for you...
This ROM is for someone...
Who wants to tinker and build there own personal ROM from the stock base.
Another developer that may not have the ability to get a stock base (Like me, I only have the AT&T phone)
When you hose your phone trying to "modify" things because you "read it on the internet" somewhere you can then use this ROM to get your anus out of trouble.
You flash someone else ROM and realize its not what you were expecting, you didn't make nandroid back up, and your rebooting every time you try to make a phone call. This ROM would come in real handy
You see where I am going with this?

you say must be on latest OTA, what happens if we flash this on non OTA?
Scott,
In the OP you say we need to be on the latest OTA?
I had flashed TWRP and have not been able to get the OTA.
I was surprised when I read we needed to be on the latest OTA to flash your ROM.
I have been holding off getting the OTA because I figured I would just flash a ROM to get the on the latest OTA is there a reason we need to be on it to flash your ROM?
Do you happen to have a Stock Recovery IMG and I get in order to get the OTA if I am going to need the OTA I will have to get it through stock recovery

Because its built from the OTA and I didn't include a boot image. I don't have the phone so I didn't want to risk bricking someone else's trying to flash a boot image.
In all reality it will prolly be 100% fine on the non OTA but I cannot say for sure... Havent tried it.
So nandroid, flash and report results and all questions will be answered.

Pa Cm And LS are unified builds so you can flash them. There are no stock based roms specifically for this variant.

Yea it works perfect. I am on stock + faux kernel. Works like a charm. Can't live without active display.
Yea latest PA is there. Check in AOSPA thread
Just stick with the stock software so you don't lose any unique Moto features and once rooted install Xposed with the Gravity Box module. Gravity Box module has almost every Rom tweak you can think of built in, you can pick and choose what features you want to use...it's like building your own custom rom.
@DaRkRhiNe are all the indian 16Gb variants of Moto X are XT-1052 ?? Because my friend bought it and wants to root it too. Also if you are a 1052 user, did you receive the 4.4.4 update or are you still stuck on 4.4.2 like me?
@FSRBIKER what Xposed tweaks do you use?
If you want to try a stock based ROM that keeps all Motorola's goodies try Kryptonite. There's a patch for the UK XT1052 retail to get it to work.

Yea 32 gb version was not released in India. And I am still on 4.4.2
Xposed Modules, Gravity Box has most options from Roms built in, Apps Ops for controlling apps permissions, MinMinGuard for ad blocking, I'm experimenting with Intelli3G(on Play Store) right now to switch phone to 2G when screen is off then to LTE or Wifi when the screen is on to save battery. I've used Twisty Switch and XYZToolbox also.

It is possible that your carrier has instructed Moto to not release the BL unlock code for their devices. All I can suggest is re-running the get unlock data command, triple-checking it, trying again, and then possibly trying on another computer.
In addition, the Moto website is known to be 'glitchy' sometimes, so you might try tomorrow and it could work immediately.
Sorry, this is all the advice I have for you.
Good Luck
EDIT: Also, you probably already know, but it should ONLY be the data, in one string. Remove the [bootloader] text and only have the data itself.

First of all, sorry if i'n posting in the wrong forum or doing anything wrong, i literaly just signed up to ask this.
I have a xt1063 with 5.0.2, bootloader unlocked, and rooted, and i heard that 5.1.1 it's coming for this device, my question is, if i do this update, will i lose the root and lock the bootloader? Also, is there any risks updating like this?
Thanks in advance.
bootloader won't be locked & I don't think there's any risk, it might get unrooted (as far as I can say) but of course you'll be able to root it again.
Okay, thank you for answering! Also, if its rooted i can still download it from the phone itself without flashing? On configurations

So, will the phone still tell that there's an available update?
The phone will tell you that a OTA is there, you´ll maybe able to download it but you can´t install it with a custom recovery.
To install OTA you need to have the stock recovery and revert all changes you made to the system like unfreezing system apps etc. and do a full unroot.
The system has to be as close to stock as possible.I think also Xposed will block the installation.
That's annoying, but oh well, thanks

Obviously why waiting for something since months from the official sources? motorola team is extremely lazy while custom roms are much much better than the stock ones.
Ok so I restored my G2 to 26A. I'm noticing that most of the games I played before are now not compatible?? Simple games like Clash of Clans and Madden Mobile are no longer available for this phone. Anyone have any suggestions why? If my wife's phone can have it and it's older and running kitkat, why isn't it available for this phone?

I was trying to find out how to update, root, and ROM it but there are so many posts that I'm not sure how to. Right now the phone is on 26A so any help would be greatly appreciated. I basically just want to throw CM on it and be done with it. I'm already rooted thanks to Stump Root.

I will try to help you out. May i know which G2 variant you are currently using?
Edit: My bad. You are using verizon g2.
Download this lollipop latest stock from here : http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G2/Stock/Verizon/Lollipop/
Then follow this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 , follow KDZ method to get it done.
Once you are on lollipop, Root again, install recovery using autorec ( if you happen to find an unresponsive button , lmk) and make a nandroid backup, then flash cm on it.
Lmk if you need further assistance.

Got it all working. So CM13 should flash over this right? Sorry for all the questions. I switched to an iPhone for a while so I'm a little nervous now.

Understandable, happens when u weren't in touch with sth specific for long cuz alot changes.
Install TWRP first . Then make a nandroid backup in case you ever need to go back the current state ( u dont wanna screw things up and do kdz all the way upto this) . Then download cm13, wipe data, cache, dalvik cache , do not wipe internal storage.
Thats it.

I get an error when flashing gapps and it says gapps install failed. I'm pretty sure I'm getting the right ones from here: http://opengapps.org/
I am selecting ARM, 5.0, and Full.

Hi,
Yes. Because cm13 is android marshmallow. You have to select arm, 6, full.

Exactly why I was nervous doing this. Thank God for Nandroid's though! Thank you again for all of your help! I am now on CM13 and everything seems to be running great.
