So i was using my phone tonight after i charged it, and it randomly shutted down when it had about 80%, black screen and i can't even get to the bootloader.. My phone wasn't overheating, now i'm afraid it's totally dead.
Help?
Longpress the power button(around 30 sec). It's force reboot. U can't go to bootloader cuz phone isn't turned off, it lagged hard.

The phone is actually turned off, pressing volume down+power doesn't do anything.
Did you try a forced reboot?
Can you charge your phone (like does it show the charging screen when you plug in the charge?). Charge it to a 100% and do a factory reset via recovery.
If you can't do anything like that then I'm afraid you'll have to reflash stock firmware If you can that is.
Give some more information in the OP like your rom, kernel and if you have any mods.

Plugging it in doesn't do anything.
Had RR 5.1 Rom, TWRP and decipher.
The same thing happened to me yesterday, but I was with Stock 4.4.4 without ROOT and was upgrading to 5.0.2 OTA

Hi guys,
i've got a problem here. I'm running Darky's 9.2 and it has suddenly stopped working. Pulled the phone of my pocket and it looked like it was booting, but it just kept booting. When i connect it to power it just displays the battery and the spinner for a few seconds and then the screen goes black again and the process repeats over and over. Just tried to connect it to Odin to go back to stock. I can go into download mode, but only for a few seconds. It won't stay in download mode. Any help?
try do a full reset in recovery.. then leave the battery out for 5-10 mins. then try download mode again
I can't get into recovery.
Volume up + home + power doesn't work.
I've left the battery out for over an hour. Still nothing...
same thing happend to me when i was on darkys 8.1 these thing happen when your using custom roms can you get in to download mode so you can reflash to stock rom
Only for a few seconds. After that it does the battery thing again.
Looks like you need the jig or to take it to a service centre but they may well charge as its out of warranty .
jje
The jig? Afraid so yeah

In the past I would get into recovery that way but now on custom rom I need to release the power button when the galaxy s logo appears. Maybe give that a try.

I did, doesn't work.
It also never really shuts down. It just keeps booting.
If i remove the battery and plug it back in after a while it automatically starts the loop again.
I accidentally flashed the doom kernel that I forgot to delete off of my phone when trying to flash something else now my phone won't turn on. When I try to power it on it just vibrates and when I try to boot into recovery it just vibrates 3 times. Every now and then I can get the led to light up when it's being charged and I'm holding the power button. But still doesn't power on fully.
Try to flash stock ftf or another kernel via flashtool.

Actually, if all you flashed was a wrong kernel, then you don't need to reflash a whole ftf with flashtool, given your bootloader is unlocked. Only flash the correct kernel in fastboot mode:
Unplug und plug in the USB-cable. Hold Vol+ and the ON-button at the same time for a couple seconds until you feel a single vibration. Let go of the ON-button but keep the Vol+ pressed. You should be in fastboot mode again indicated by the blue LED.
If that works, you can reflash the original kernel.elf or boot.img with fastboot in order to get the phone working again. That way you won't loose any data.
i've just done the same thing

did you fix it?
Hold Vol+ and connect the usb cable that is the right way of Fastboot mode. The Flashtool mode is HOLD Vol- and connect the cable.
Lt30at bootloader isn't unlockable. So I think you should flash stock kernel only.

I didn't think it would even flash to brick because the boot loader wouldn't allow it to even write there, so is it even booting into recovery or flashmode?

Hi guys, I'm new with Xperia phones and also new with rooting, flashing and using recoverys..
I installed a new rom on my device (iHackers rom). When i started installing I had like 25% of battery. When I finished the installation (I didn't flash recovery again because I did that with the help of my computer before, so file - zip was not on my phone) I rebooted my phone. So here's where the problem begins. My phone wouldn't turn on. Black screen all the way. Tried the red button near the SIM card, tried power button and volume up/down, tried power button..nothing powered my phone on, but vibrations were there. The red LED is blinking when i charge the battery (idk if it's even charging). If I take the phone out of the charger, the red LED stops blinking. I can't turn my phone on or get into the recovery mode even after 20 minutes of charging on 220v.
Guys please help..I'm in panic here.

Fastboot or flashmode working or not ?
The first your mistake was to flash with 25% of battery. It's wrote everywhere to do a installation with a fully charged phone. Now probably in the middle of the installation the phone died and the installation was not completed and this mean your phone is corrupted and dead. The only advice I have now for you to left the phone under charger all night, next day with phone switched off keep push volume down and connect the phone via usb to PC, if the PC will recognize the device and it will install drivers flash a Stock FTF straight a way.

Your battery is dead. Does the phone feel warm? Leave it plugged in to charge for a while (at least a few hours, maybe overnight) and it might come back.
Like the OTA warnings says, do not try to flash your phone if less than 50% battery is available. If you do, you are only asking for trouble.

When I woke up in the morning the phone was not warm..it was hot..the whole day i was trying to bring it back to life but there were still only vibrations. When I connect it to my computer, the drivers get installed, but the power on button and combination power button+volume down don't work. The only combination that works is power button+volume up(the phone vibrates 3 times but still stays in the same condition). FlashTool doesn't recognize the phone either.
hold power+volume up. then phone vibrates 3 times and should switch off. wait a minute then try to switch it on just normal. does it slightly vibrate?
now try this again, now with charger pluged in. what happens then?

I think i have solved it..I left phone charging for 3 hours (without heating up), and then i plugged it in my computer. In PC Companion (yeah I never thought it would be that easy), i could restore my phone without even powering it on. I'm now downloading updates..But when I connected, flashtool detected that my fone is in flashmode.

Just wants to said same thing - it's probably in fastboot mode but the battery is dead, just plug it and try flashtool or fastboot.
But O.K.
One advice - guys already post that, I posted that many times as well but...
Never, never, never do that if your battery isn't fully charged.
Charge battery to 100% and restart to TWRP and check your battery percentage...
and you'll see why - it never shows correct info.
The other day I was flashing ROM and had 87% when I flashwd and boot my battery shown 36% and stayed on 36% for a few hours...that's not problem when you are in OS but when you stuck on powered off device - it could be very tricky to power it back.
That's why you can't update official ftf if you don't have more than 50% of battery power...

No it's not.
Ihackers is working without any problems...
I said that many times but I'll repeat...
When you are flashing ROM (ftf) through flashtool, don't connect device immediately.
Open flashtool, select ftf and hit start.
Wait until flashtool say "connect device"
Then plug usb cable while holding vol down.
That way you'll prevent device to restart while it's waiting flashtool to prepare ftf...

I think what should be focused on first is getting juice back in that battery. Plug it in to the charger and let it sit for a few hours (like, at least 8 hours). It may boot loop but maybe it will still get some juice? (not sure about this..). Then you can try again to get into Flashmode. (Are you experienced in flashing stock FTF's with flashtool?)

What have you tried after that?
The battery was ending?
Tried to plug the charger something happens?
....
A fix...
Have you tried holding the power button?
hold it for a minute or two to see if starts...
Nothing. Try again with the charger plugged.
hold the power button forces the phone to reset. Just like in windows when it is stuck. Maybe your phone is just stuck.
Good luck.

I am not a moderator or someone that is from xda developers, but sounds like you need a newer version of ClockWorkMod (or an other custom recovery for your model)
Older versions of cmw may not support android 5.0
