Hey all my version is the G920AUCU3BOJ7...I've tried PingPong root and it says my device can't be rooted yet. Is there anything that can help me root my device. My recent tab is stuck and it causes my phone to constantly switch between apps. I went through all the proper channels AT&T and Samsung and they won't help me. I also factory reset my device uninstalled all apps ever put on it and nothing works. I read you can disable the recent tab, but to do that I need root acess to the device. Any help would me much apprechiated.
Thanks,
Ryan

Ok I've got my Rogers Samsung S5 Active unlocked, and confirmed by Root Checker and I've installed SuperSU Pro.
I rooted it via this particular method I read at
theunlockr
It reboots and functions as normal, however when I attempt to utilize SuperSU it says that KNOX is installed, it then allows me to dissable which I do and it remarks successful.
What I want to know is what do I do to remove ROGERS craptastic apps, and keep them off, what do I use to get in and modify some of the parameters of the phone, like CPU speed and so forth?
If there are any decent fully working ROM's for a newbie like myself, I'd be happy to throw a go at using one.
Any help with getting the absolute MOST from my device would be appreciated.
Thanks for reading

Go to the play store and search for root. You'll find a lot of apps for tweaking the S5. You have many choices for a ROM because you have an unlocked bootloader. I think you can use the latest AOSP or Cyanogen mod, or if you want to set up safestrap your can run the Dynamic Kat ROM found here. That ROM has an assistant app that lets you tweak a whole lot of things all from the app.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 active and cannot update the binary for supersu. It used to work correctly but simply stopped. I am rooted. I have tried everything and am sooo FRUSTRATED! HEEELLLLPPPP! Whenever I try to load it asks me if I want to do normal or TWRP. Either option forces the app to crash. My model is 4.2.2 thanks.
I was bored at home today and decided to root my phone. I used this method: http://www.android.gs/how-to-successfully-root-samsung-galaxy-j7-sm-j700p-on-boost-virgin-mobile/. Everything went smoothly and root checker said I was rooted. However, nothing that requires root works. Basically i'm rooted, but root things don't work. How do I fix this? I don't wanna try anything too advanced since I'm scared of bricking it.
Hi just wondering whether any Aussies have the optus sport app working on a rooted device.
The app opens but fails when trying to watch videos. I have it as hidden a
rooted app under mgdisk. Anyone have a workaround
Thanks
I am looking for a workaround myself.... hopefully someone out there has a fix. I tried removing root but having an unlocked bootloader seems to cause the issue also or when using any custom ROM.
I have the s7 and galaxy tab s, it's blocked on my s7 but not on my tablet.
Both are rooted with magisk.
I still can't find a workaround, had anyone else had any luck.
Thanks
Still no luck
I tried using the cloak app and editing the build.prop file to no avail. I think the app maybe checking the number of times Knox has been accessed? Could this be cloaked?
I need help figuring out a way to hide root from apps like Snapchat or Pokemon go. I know there are other forums, but none that are like this issue I'm having. Magisk doesn't seem compatible with my Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, SM-G892U, as it caused some kind of issue that says to contact someone as something unauthorized was installed on the device. I can't get TWRP either, since that isn't compatible with my device anyway. RootCloak doesn't work, as it doesn't let me switch my root back on. I have nothing else to resort to. I hope there is still a way, otherwise I will unfortunately have to use another phone, or unroot. If anyone has a fix or some method, please help!
How did u achieve root
