GS6 Random Disconnecting with Android Auto - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6

Has anyone tried the GS6 with Android Auto? I recently upgraded the head unit in my car to the Kenwood DDX9702S with android auto support. I set everything up and it seems to work great for a few minutes however it intermittently disconnects. For instance one minute Im streaming spotify and utilizing google maps - next minute - deck goes blank (or sometimes goes back to the home screen on the deck), music stops and phone makes the usb disconnect sound. I've tried a second cable with no change. Longest I think its worked is maybe 10 minutes, however I tried my work phone which is a GS5 on sprint - and it works flawlessly. Anyone know if this is a known issue with the GS6?
Thanks in advance!

[Q] Bluetooth issue

I just got my AT&T Moto X and have it paired with my car ('08 Ford Fusion) and my wife's van ('13 Honda Odyssey). It paired fine, streams audio, metadata, does calls, etc. fine. The issue I'm seeing is that when I get into my car or van, it takes a LONG time for the phone to connect to the car. Like a couple minutes. Every other phone I've had did this almost instantly. After a couple minutes go by I'll see the bluetooth icon turn blue on the phone, and then the vehicle will be connected, but it is really annoying to have to wait EVERY time. Anyone else seeing this or has anyone else ever heard of such an issue on a different phone even?

My bluetooth issue is it doesn't like to connect after I get in and out. I have to make sure I start my car with Bluetooth off then start the car then turn bluetooth on and it'll connect just fine.

Love the phone, hate the bluetooth

Anyone else haing issues here with bluetooth? I can connect to everything bluetooth, wireless speakers, car, headsets, watch etc. The only thing I can get to work reliably is the headset, everything else randomly cuts out or has issues. For example both cars have bluetooth for phone calls, one has bluetooth for media, I can get both to work for a short time but it either 1. Cuts out and reverts back to phone, freezes the system in the one car, or jumps back and forth between the 2. Similar results when connected to bluetooth speakers, can get it to work for about 10-15 minutes then nothing, phone shows it still connected and playing music but no sounds from speakers. LG G Watch R also randomly looses connection. I'm beginning to regret my switch from the S5.
Anyone having similar problems or a fix?? I really want to keep the phone but not sure I can deal with this flaw...........
I have no such issues with the bluetooth. I can tell you that I had bluetooth issues with one of my other android phones. I had to get it warranty replaced. My suggestion is that you get the phone replaced since its brand new.
Mine has been fine so far. I just wish that android was more like apple, as much as I hate to say that. Both my S6 and M7 will play phone audio fine when in a call, but to use maps I have to turn the radio to Bluetooth mode. Makes it kinda boring to ride with no radio just to get turn by turn nav.

I haven't had any issues with my smart watch (moto 360) but I have had some weird issues with my car's Kenwood media deck. The phone will connect to the unit, but 75% of the time no sound will come from the speakers on the first try. Sometimes just waiting about a minute does the trick, other times I turn BT off/on and it'll work fine the 2nd time. However because I haven't had any issues connecting with my watch, ear piece, or laptop I am willing to bet it's it an issue with the Kenwood and not the phone.
Thanks guys. Don't want to have to warranty swap it but looks like that's going to be my first step.

Anyone having problems with Bluetooth

I previously owned a Sony Z3v and had no complaints. I run and workout regularly so I often use bluetooth headphones while doing so. These in particular http://www.plantronics.com/us/product/backbeat-fit. I'm been having issues since day 1 with these disconnecting. I have to power them down and power them up again to reconnect. Even when they lose connection, they show they are connected but are non responsive. I had not trouble whatsoever with my sony experia.
Anyone else having these kind of issues? I've checked the forums and I don't see any reports. Is this isolated?
I only use Bluetooth when I'm in the shower with the beats pill but it works great for me.

Not entirely related but I have had issues with my original Galaxy Gear disconnecting somewhat frequently when I disconnect my BT head unit or at other seemingly random times that sometimes require me to turn BT off and on again. It's not that huge of an issue usually but BT on my S6 is not perfect for sure.

I am having Bluetooth disconnect issues with my car. Will connect and disconnect repeatedly for about 7 minutes and then stay connected. Very annoying. Have tried several fixes but nothing has worked.
I haven't had an issue with mine when using it for my gopro.
The issue is with Android using Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi simultaneously. I've had these issues since owning the phone. For whatever reason if you connect your phone to a bluetooth speaker where both devices are BT 4.0, the WiFi will be extremely slow or not work at all.
If you don't believe me, try it. As soon as you connect the device, try to load something like a video or song over WiFi. Or even send a Facebook message. It'll stall. As soon as it stalls, turn off WiFi and it'll magically start working again over cellular data.
No issues here, usually stream to a Bose Color Sound device, getting connection through WiFi
I have issues with mine pretty regularly with my car. A reboot of the phone will sometimes fix it. It's annoying, sometimes it will disconnect from audio but not phone or vice versa. Or it will work perfect, I'll get a phone call and it all goes to crap. The remainder of the drive will generally result in fighting with it. Maybe it will reconnect, but most of the time it won't. Never have I had a phone with so many bluetooth issues.
Had issues with my truck head unit / phone BT. Phone would continually disconnect.
Tracked it down to the Messages transferring to head unit.
If I disabled Messages in the Bluetooth / Allow Access To area, it worked fine, but obviously messages wouldn't go to my truck.
I cleaned all messaging apps, factory reset truck head unit, no fix. eventually factory reset the phone, havn't had any problems since.

Bluetooth Streaming to Car Stereo Question

I recently purchased the Pioneer DEH-4800BT head unit so that I could leverage the Bluetooth capabilities. Everything works great, with the exception of the unit reading my music library via Bluetooth. If I restart my Note 4 and then connect it via Bluetooth to the Pioneer head unit, it reads the library and allows me to browse my music as it should. However, if I turn off my vehicle thus disconnecting the Bluetooth connection, the unit will not read my library without me having to restart my Note 4. Has anyone ever encountered this? I have a feeling there is something on my Note 4 preventing the unit from reading the library a second time without restarting. Unfortunately hours of Google searches on this subject have left me with no solutions. What can I do to fix this? Thanks in advance!
Don't have a solution for you but I have experienced a similar issue with my Kenwood DDX719 that I have owned for 4yrs now.
My work a round is to enable BT on phone after my Kenwood has booted up.
This way it reads all the time , if I stop/turn off the car I'll turn off BT and next time I started up again I re-turn phone's BT back on.
My boot up is the time it takes me to buckle my seat belt, next step is to turn on BT on my phone.
My old S4 would work all the time even if BT was already on before Kenwood boot up.
I searched a while back when we upgraded phones (8 months ago) but could not find a solution.
Sometimes when i'm running around making several stops I'll leave phone in car with BT on and after starting up car Kenwood will display all info no problem but like I said "somtimes" not always.
The only thing affected is my music library, contacts always show up even if music library is missing.
Pp.

Android Auto suddenly stopped working on my Chevy MyLink

I have a ZTE Max Pro with T-Mobile and a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 1LT. I have been using Android auto flawlessly for about 1 month and then suddenly it just stopped pairing. There was a brief period where it was mal-functioning. A few days ago using google maps and I received absolutely no audio from google maps and google play music kept pausing for no apparent reason. I was able to hear the music on google play music but no audio from google maps and I made sure it wasn't muted. After that, when I plug my phone into my car, I get NOTHING. It charges and thats it. The car doesnt even TRY to load Android Auto and the phone doesn't do anything. Its like they don't see eachother. I made sure its on MTP mode and USB Debugging is enabled as well.
I remember it working right before Waze became an option, after that it went Ka-Put. I completely factory reset my phone and it STILL did not help. I tried another phone and it loads up fine on my car.
Any ideas?
This was an old post, however I'm having the same issue in the same car. Swapped cables, phones, reverified settings on both the phones and mylink head unit. Frustrating as this was working fine for months, then stopped. Short of a trip to the dealer I'm not sure what else to try.
