After a while I wanted to change to latest nAn kernel and install a new rom that supports nAn kernel, when i tried to flash this kernel I was just getting a white led on my phone not even able to go in Xrecovery. When i installed the jelly bean kernel everything is normal again. I also saw the uninstall procedures to flash stock kernel which i did the result i got is, Iam just stuck at the sony boot logo no reactions further. Please someone help me to uninstall a kernel and go back to stock kernel with rom installed so that i can change my kernel again. Also let me know if my boot-loader will be relocked. Hey guys.
I currently have open bootloader and I'm with the firmware Ultimate PureXT v4.0 (4.3 JB) and therefore my disposal Recovery (Philz Touch 6 / CW v6.0.4.7).
The question is, if I just go directly to flash the firmware, with subsequent wipes, or previously have to flash a kernel via flashtools.
In case i need to flash a kernel through flashtools, what use, which is within the firmware or that recommend me?
I feel my bad English
Please can anyone answer? I do not dare to flash directly from recovery, without being certain not brik the terminal, not to have a different kernel that I have.

You mean to install the above linked ROM? Since you already have recovery installed, you can indeed use that for flashing the ROM, no need to flash an other kernel first.
It's always a good idea to make a backup of your current ROM first, so:
- backup
- full wipe (everything except SD)
- flash ROM from SD
- reboot

Many, thank you very much! It is exactly that.
That was my question, the difference in the systems and whether to flash a new kernel, to install the new firmware recovery
As I'm on 4.3 JB not know if I can flash this firmware directly from the recovery going from 4.3 to 4.4 while maintaining kernel 4.3
When you full wipe from recovery, everything is gone from your phone (including kernel), so just immediately flash the zip after wiping to install the new ROM (new kernel is then installed, you won't end up with 4.4 firmware with 4.3 kernel )

Wish I could help but it seemed it might will not help you. So here come suggestions.
My friend's XSP also faced this problem. But I fixed it easily by wiping the phone's system partition and re-flash the ROM.

Lets use an another odd method that I once got something fixed with. Only if you choose to take your time.
First do a nandroid backup of your device. Then flash stock ROM and wipe everything via flashtool. Afterwards root it, and install a recovery. Then from that recovery restore your nandroid backup.
Things to note:
- Make sure integrity of your nandroid backup
- For safety backup your apps through Titanium Backup too
- If SP does not boot after restoring nandroid, flash the ROM zip again. This may have to do with the kernel.

Alright honey, on it. Will let you know update ?
Hey guys,
After hours and hours of searching forums and trying things, I decided I need help.
I just bought a Z1 (yes, they're still for sale) and I wanted to update the firmware to the newest .283 lollipop. Also, I want to root my device.
I have rooted Android phones before, and I have some experience flashing Custom ROMs etc.
As I have understood I have to downgrade to a 4.4 ROM first, to get root. Then my plan was to install recovery and install .283 Pre-rooted ZIP in Recovery.
So here's what I did:
-Flash 14.1.G.1.534 firmware
-Root using KingoROOT
-try to install recovery
-boot into recovery
-install pre-rooted .283 Lollipop ZIP
-phone won't boot anymore.
I am still able to flash the newest .283 with the FTF file, but then obviously it's unrooted. I also cannot figure out how to flash recovery after flashing .283 FTF. (Flashing recovery seems to work, but I cannot enter recovery via adb or otherwise)
So if anyone can tell me what I am missing, please do!
for what i know the ftf files can't be prerooted. so download a prerooted zip file and install it from a recovery. btw if u're gonna try any custom rom, don't forget to backup your drm before unlocking bootloader. That's a must for xperia devices
Thanks. However, I can't get Recovery to work after flashing Lollipop firmware. And when I downgrade and then flash the ZIP from recovery, the phone won't boot.
I succeeded! The steps that led me to this result:
-flash KK 14.4.A.0.108 in Flashtool
-Root the firmware using Flashtool/SuperSU method
-flash Recovery using Dual Recovery (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2647487)
-Flash the Pre-Rooted ZIP in Recovery
-Success!!

Hello everyone, I'm having a problem flashing tw roms through twrp. It installs the rom but when I reboot my phone it just hangs at the boot animation. When I go back into twrp and wipe data and then try rebooting my phone it tells me my phones not rooted and asks me if I want to install super su. I can flash aosp roms just fine. I'm hoping I can fix this without having to unroot and root my phone all over again.
you need to flash the correct modem and bootloader for the rom
