Kali Nethunter for GPE 5.1 - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have an m7_ul variant of the Htc One which has been converted to a GPE device and is running 5.1. I was wondering if there is anyone who can port Kali Nethunter to this device, or at least give instructions on how to do so.
I've read Kali's porting instructions but I'm not sure how to do what it says, hence I don't even know where to get the stock kernel source code.
Any help would be nice and Kali Nethunter would go beautifully with this device.
Thanks!

There is already a Unofficial ROM Android N based on CM 14 . But it's A/V Recorder functions are not working . But is getting better release by Release . It's made by @luke1337 . If you wanna try go check it out.

advice for a new ROM

Good morning
After 2 years and 3 month with this amazing device i think that I must change something.. I wanna mount a new Rom but i don't know how and which one, someone said me that Slimm is one of the best rom for z3c.
I haven't root my phone (only before with LL) and my build is 23.5.a.1.291 n of course no TWRP.
Help me
I can recommend X P E R I E N C E & R O M - it´s fast, battery friendly and development is still active
Slimm rom is good to, but developer gas got a new phone > that rom has no future
You will need TWPR

Which ROM? AOXP 1.5.5 ROM vs. X P E R I E N C E & R O M 4.0

Hi there,
I hope this is the right forum, but I basically would like to know what are the main differences between the two ROMS AOXP 1.5.5 ROM and X P E R I E N C E & R O M 4.0 ?
As many here I have been using SLIMM 6.0.1 for quite a while now and still can't seem to figure out what ROM would be rather similar in terms of functionality and compatibility while being more recent and updated or feature rich? Here I only consider ROMs for locked bootloader with ROOT access, and preferrably keeping Recovery/TWRP.
Any experiences of users using both or some suggestions how to decide would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, playagiron
The only right answer is try both and decide. Though AOXP is something like a successor to SLIMM.
I personally use AOXP (I have LB)
As far as I know the two do not have updated security patch so are just some mods
Recommend slim 2.5
For me the best is the X P E R I E N C E R R M 4.0, because it has not generated me so many errors works perfect
In contrast the AOXP even with the updates generates many errors
Connection 3g does not go, error in menu etc
Ive been using xperience for 1week, then moved to axop i use for 3-4weeks now.. Im voting for AOXP.Works very well, batery is very good works faster and more fluid than xperience. Only drawback is installing aoxp, it can be a bit tricky but nothing to hard..

X P E R I E N C E ROM is better to me. AOXP has soo many bugs.
The problem with X P E R I E N C E is have to do full wipe for every update.
I hope that both last 2 devs @Marília de Oliveira and @panzerox123 work together to make a ONE great rom for our Z3c
I suppose the two roms are similar. I now use aoxp, because of update frequently

Im just saying,,, We cannot update security patch unless we build android from source. Even SliMM is on May 1st Security patch... Latest for z3c
cm 12 )
+1 for AOXP. haven't noticed any bugs or errors some are talking about. probably they didn't follow precisely the install instructions...
I'm about to re-install. Current Plan:
- Slimm (6.0.1) v2.5
- Elitekernel v3
- Cyberian Camera 7.2
- Magisk
- microG (after removing GAPPS)
Any further suggestions for a stable everyday system with working camera? Also if anyone is interested I would gladly share my setup. Would need some directions on how to create a rom from it though...:silly:

Hi .. why you prefer Slimm 2.5??
any opinion of comparing those 2 ROMs at this stage?
(AOXP has been discontinued while xperience might have some updates since then?)

Sprint HTC One M7 (m7wls) rendered unusable after flashing (unofficia) Lineage OS ROM

Hello all,
This morning I unlocked my bootloader. I have been using the m7wls as my daily driver and wanted to update it to Nougat via Lineage OS. I found an unofficial build (h t t p : / / w w w . l i n e a g e o s d o w n l o a d s . c o m / d o w n l o a d - s p r i n t - h t c - o n e - m 7 - l i n e a g e - o s / ) and flashed it to the phone. Now, the build was for m7spr, but I had read (on XDA), that m7spr ROMs were compatible with the m7wls. I'm a bit of a noob, so I thought, "cool cool." It was working great, I got it set up, looked around, etc. etc. But while I was in Settings, it just froze and has been looking like this for the past 25 minutes. If anyone can help, please do. I had a backup, but I can't access recovery, as none of the buttons seem to work.

I put spaces between every character in web addresses because I'm a new user so I can't post links, sorry.
Fixed!

Welcome to XDA! Two things:
m7wls and m7spr are the same. m7wls is HTC's official name for the device, but m7spr is the unofficial designation that makes it easier to remember.
What did you do to fix it? For future reference in case someone else has the same issue.
