I dont know if this is an android prob or a "my phone" prob but i cant seem to figure out why my instagram videos stop short on playback. It will play like half the clip on my feed and reset itself. If i log in on my work iphone it always plays the whole clip. Any suggestions? I hate using the small iphone screen.
And i am talking about videos on my feed not videos i am recording and uploading.

On such a beautiful screen of the Note, it's a little disappointing that the videos within browser or any videos except on YouTube, are pixelated. Is it because of Flash, or this is normal? The videos on YouTube are a joy to watch in HD.

I use skyfire videos play fine however you need to pay for the license unless you used skyfire from the start then you get it free

Thanks, but I am wondering whether the issue is the screen itself or playing videos within browsers, be it opera, boat browser, or dolphin hd.

Ar i get ya well if i remember right you get a 3day trial of skyfire so why not check it out.if vids play fine with that then its not your screen,
same case !!
I too had the same problem; but updating the flash player solved the issues.
I thought would start this post since I didn't see one where people could some of there favorite video apps that don't come stock on the N7. Her is my list:
1. Netflix - pretty good app and greatest availability of streaming movies you will find from a monthly service.
2. Xfinity Player: Nice updates to the UI for 7 inch tablets and really good for catching up on old episodes of Spartacus.
3. Crunchyroll: The premiere app for watching animes that are subbed and best of all they have a free option that works over Wi-Fi. Doesn't work over Bluetooth tethering, but ICS built in Wi-Fi tethering is just fine if you don't mind the ads.
4. HomeDia: A nice free app that allows you to stream videos on your home network. I paired mine up with plex media server since you have to pay for tversity and it has worked well. If it doesn't play a video just use a third video player app like rockplayer.
5. Dailymotion: To be honest the only reason I use this app is to catch up with subbed anime episodes of OnePiece, outside of that nothing really else for me.
The good thing about these apps are they are free to download and numbers 1, 2, and 5 have apps for the Xbox 360. Well those are mine, so what are yours?

Crackle has some good free movies and tv shows. I also like to browse vimeo using the app, there are lots of cool videos on there.
If you like to watch current TV DROID TV Primetime actually works very well on the N7. There are quite a few free shows but for @$9 for three months you can get shows like Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Greys Anatomy, and dozens of others. I have used it for over a year on my DROID X and it sizes up really well to the 7inch for factor.

Are you doing this on a N7?
I had problems with it on my N7 in that I couldn't get it to lower/hide the info when the video was playing. Unless I am missing something .... On my phone it worked just fine.
UPDATE
Now if this isn't stupid on my part..... if you touch the video when it is playing, a icon shows on the bottom left to make it Full Screen... thought I had tried everything...

Thanks I didnt know that Crackle would work with the N7 unless I installed flash. So far it looks pretty good, I just dont like how the UI doesn't work that well in portrait mode. Hey that's what updates are for.

When I checked out veetle in the play store for some reason it said it was not compatible with the N7. Still looks pretty good though.

Hi team,
I was using iphone 3gs with 2g data network and i use to see the youtube videos which doesnt buffer at all and its the same with the skype and voice call......when i switched to GNOTE with same 2g data network youtube buffers a lot and skype and voice too...why there is a difference in device app....

Because iPhones are gay.
On a serious note. iirc iPhone runs C and Androids run java, so the apps are probably quite different.
I could be completely wrong though.
Thats a problem with the ios youtube app, you cant even change its quality, so even if you are on a low connection the app still plays HQ or HD watever.

I understood the question differently from you guys..
Isnt he saying why the video buffers more on GNote than Iphone?
Isnt buffering when video stops and has to buffer/download/load up before continuing playing?
If this was what you were asking then maybe the answer is that the iphone can only play videos on low quality while GNote is playing them on HD and takes longer to load the video if your internet is slow..
Just got my N3 today and so far I'm digging it. Only issue I'm having is when playing a video off the Web of through the video player it's stuttering/lagging like every 5 seconds. It does this either on wifi or 4g and I know it's not a buffering issue because the video can be 100% buffered and it will still lag. I didn't have this issue on my N2.

Check to see if Youtube videos do this as well, especially any HD content.
My note has started to studder everywhere. Reminds me of old school htc sense. Videos, scrolling through facebook/twitter. Messages app studder when scrolling, sometimes the keyboard doesn't wanna pop up.
I think we have no choice but to deal with these quirks with touch wiz

Good morning!
Does anyone have a solution for some home videos that cast sideways on chromecast from a phone or tablet? I have looked for a way to correct this but have been unsuccessful. When i use Avia or RealPlayer cloud the result is the same....they play fine on the device but are sideways when I cast to the TV...

LOL
there are only two solutions to this...
1 - Rotate the TV....
2 - Load it into Premiere or FinalCut and try and rotate the Video by 90 degrees
There may be a third option if you can find a Video Converter that supports Rotating video...

Looks like MediaCoder can do it via the Rotate option in the Picture tab.
If you're stuck with a favorite editor and it accepts Avisynth scripts, you can rotate it via Avisynth too.
The absolute worst thing you can do is change the camera orientation midway through. If you start one way, finish it that way. Otherwise you'll limit your ultimate viewing window to a square (1080x1080, 720x720, etc). My wife did that once and I screamed "Noooooooooooo!" in slow motion like in the movies.
