I'm wondering if I can downgrade from my G920A, 5.1.1. My build number is G920AUCU3BOJ7, sorry if this question has been answered many times, I haven't seen a clear answer.
Thanks.
Has been answered many many times. And now again. No.

Even if you could, it's not worth it at this point. Support for this phone is dead and will stay dead along with any updates. Do like the rest of us, either accept no root or move on to another phone.

For what it is worth,
I was going to answer but I know nothing of CDMA tab.
That is the problem. Most Asia, africa, middle east, latin america and europe use GSM.

SPH-P100 & SCHi800 (Sprint & Verizon) rooting problem
Please share how you solved this. I have been trying for a few weeks now and both fail with SuperOneClick and both hang at step 7 also. I have since rooted on the same two PC's with SuperOneClick a couple of other devices. I had almost given up since nothing seems to have been posted this year or even late last year, but just saw this thread. I assume there has been an update applied to these devices since last rooting technique. Please, please share the resolution!
Thanks in advance.
Before I jump from Android 4.2.2 I wanted to see what are the real life issues, if any, that people are having with upgrading to Android 4.4.2.
So what are some things or issues that your having since upgrading to 4.4.2?

So there's a method of rooting the stock Note 3 without tripping Knox => http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...-to-root-nf4-knox-0x0-effortless-nf4-t2846142
Wondering if there's been a way yet for the Note 4 for this to happen?
Thanks.

That thread has been around since August. I would venture to say if there was a way, we would have it here. It's unfortunate, but it really doesn't cause nearly as many issues as people think it would. There have been plenty of members to make warranty claims and return their devices to T-Mobile and a word hasn't been said. Most workers at T-Mobile probably don't even know to look for it; they have so many phones they deal with on a daily basis that checking for knox being tripped isn't on their priority list.
I'm using it on ATT though and bought off contract.

I can't speak for the AT&T version, however I don't believe anyone has found a way to root without tripping knox. It kind of became accepted that to root you'll trip it.
Cool. I did that on my old Note e

I have read that there are Tmobile Note 4 with Rent A Center firmware installed and people are able to install "normal " Tmobile firmware without tripping Knox. That would mean that there is a way to keep Knox at 0 and install modified firmware. I just wonder if that requires special equipment to flash those phones to RAC modification or simply people didn't discover "trick" yet?

I'm really disappointed. Was waiting for someone to get towel root to work.

I've been waiting for this too but looks like no one is working on it
And it seems like after rooting, we must flash a custom rom or else some of the features will not work.
I hope to be getting a job in a couple of months, and would love to use my note 4 there. But not sure if they will let me use a phone with Knox tripped.
Rent a center is considered as... Sort of a provider. They have an agreement with Samsung which enables them to install custom firmware, which if it is similar to their laptops, allows them to "lock" the device if their RIDICULOUSLY expensive payments are not made. Its fraud insurance in a way.
I am not sure how you would go about getting around knox. But I wouldn't hold my breath. Its looking like it might be a little while...

My friend bought his note 4 with rent a center it does have a firmware different than tmobile, my friend updated using kies and it installed all of the tmobile bloat and basically the stock rom, with knox already Tripp when he bought it
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows any info on who might be working on this. I'd really like to donate to the cause and hopefully get this bad boy rooted.
Thanks for the help and feel free to join in with me

Thinking of upgrading to S6+ Verizon, what's the agony level of rooting & flashing?
What's the agony level of flashing and rooting right out the box for the S6+ assuming it comes with the latest and greatest updates /). Is root even available with the new versions?
Root isn't possible as of yet on this phone.
