Alright, here are some of my thoughts on the phones :
I've had the 6P for about a month. Sending it back actually.
It is taller than the Note, and heavier. The metal feels nice, and the stereo speakers are awesome, not quite as good as a Moto X, but close. The Note's speaker is actually pretty decent as well, it will just be firing off to the side rather than towards you like the Nexus, but its not dramatically worse or anything. Battery life was comparable to what I see from the Note, some days better, some days worse. The UI is blazing fast, more importantly it is consistently fast, without the occasional judders you might see on the Note, especially when scrolling. It is running stock android, well Google's idea of "stock". So there aren't as many features as Samsung likes to put in, no multitasking like the Note, and obviously no s-pen.
The camera is fantastic, especially with HDR+ on, but it really suffers from the lack of OIS in 4K video. In 1080p, it has EIS, which does a decent job. I noticed it tends to capture more light than the Note 5 in low light videos, but it will be a bit more noisy. The Note tends to over expose a bit to get more light in some shots causing some bright lights to be blown out, while the 6P will do a bit better job. However I did notice in most shots, the 6P sort of under expose, and you get an overall dark shot, sometimes it is darker with HDR+. That may be fixed with an update. The Note produces warmer images in my opinion, while the 6P leans toward a slightly cooler temperature. Obviously, the camera app on the 6P is pretty simple and straight forward, but does not offer the many modes and manual controls you find on the Note. Third party apps can help with that. Overall, as far as the camera is concerned, I prefer the Note. It has slightly softer details and warmer colors than the 6P and just looks more pleasing to my eyes, not to mention, the Note is very quick in opening and capturing the images. Double clicking the power button opens the camera, so that works fine.
Front facing camera on the 6P is pretty great. Didn't use it all that much though.
Display is slightly better on the Note, but if you set it to AMOLED photo, it looks pretty much the same as the 6P. A very nice panel on the 6P, really.
I seemed to have slightly better cell reception with the 6P as well on T-Mobile.
Finger print sensor is far quicker and more accurate on the 6P, but it is on the back. Makes it a bit difficult to use when placing the phone face up on a surface. On the other hand, it is really easy to unlock while taking it out of your pocket.
No wireless charging on the 6P, but it does support faster charging speeds with USB C's power profiles (5V @ 3A) and a USB C charger. Usually took about 90 minutes to charge from empty to full.
The Nexus 6P is a fantastic phone, but in the end, I missed the added features of the Note, especially the s-pen. If you really don't care for the extras that Samsung adds and don't really care about super stabilized 4k video recording or manual controls on the camera, etc., then the 6P is great choice. Being a Nexus, you will get timely updates as well. My 6P was already on 6.0.1. If you are keen on trying stock android, this is a good phone to do so.
As for the V10, I had one for about a day, so I can't really say too much about it It's built like a tank. The camera is fantastic like the G4. Removable back and expandable storage always a plus. The second screen is kind of useful I suppose, but I didn't have it long enough to really tell. I really didn't like LG's skin though and it seemed like the dpi was set by default to a value where everything (UI elements, etc.) are just hideously big... You can change the font size, but the UI elements will still stay just as big...
The V10 is basically a beefed up G4. If you loved the G4, you will love the V10.
I traded in my Note 5 for the V10. I have had it about 2 weeks thus far. I can speak freely and say that as far as daily operations with the device, I do like the note 5 much more. The Note 5 is faster, I feel the display looked much better, and I prefer the finger print reader on the front. The non-removable battery and lack of SD card just made me feel like my Note was long no longer a power user's device, just a Samsung iPhone. The V10 as far as operation is more in the Note 4 category, but with a Note 5 camera.

the note 4 is laggy not smooth at all and gets too hot

Perhaps I just ran a great custom rom on my Note 4, but I didn't have any issues with lag or heat. Not having any issues with those on the v10 either. It's not quite as fluid as the Note 5 to me though.

I had the v10 for a bit, it was nice but has nothing on the Note 5. The 6p is nice, my buddy has it so I play with it all the time. I still think the Note 5 is better. My complaint about the 6p is that the UX is no different that smaller phones, just blown up. Google did nothing to take advantage of the larger screen. The Note 5 is a true phablet, the 6p is just a blown up smartphone. Note 5 all the way.

Hey guys, so I got My Nexus 5 on Monday the 3rd, and wanted to post my thoughts,maybe discuss and criticize the Phone.
Hardware:
Pro's
The phone is very light, has a great build feel to it even thought is plastic;it even feels more solid than the Nexus 4, the way the back "bezel" is held on the N4 feels plasticky, and cheap, these materials are wayy better, it feels actually the same quality as the 2013 N7,the back, the bezel rim and slab finish are almost identical. Buttons feel nice stiff,clean crisp display, and does not feel huge in one's hand even though is a 5 incher!.
Con's:
The smooth back matte panel can easily get damaged, a case is a good idea on this phone, but the most annoying flaw,for me is Low Speaker Volume, and I'm guessing its hardware since the GNEX had the same issue and it did not get fixed with software updates. Compared to the N4 is quite noticable.
Software:
Pro's
Fast, and I mean Blazing Fast maybe the fastest phone i've used, no lag at all whatsoever ,OS looks clean new features are nice,stability ,Battery life is comparable increased to the N4's .The new dialer is amazing ,the hangouts app is a bit confusing at first.the rest is just your tipical google awesomness. Camera is not too bad, people seem to compare cameras only on low light situation, which on this case is not so brilliant but not tooo bad either, in daylight its a great camera producing amazingly sharp and well balanced photos.
Con's
A Few Features are missing, like having a standalone SMS app, or Profiles (home, work,etc) but nothing that cannot be fixed with 3rd party apps!

I came from an LG G4. I was an LG fan for a long time until they started being funny with who got what on the new phone's.
So. I came to the p10 plus. Has everything I'm looking for. Big battery. Massive onboard storage and a great camera.
So far I am very impressed. Battery life is still settling down so can't really comment on it at the no but it seems to be lasting a day with about 4hrs sot and that's most of the day on a poor 4g signal.
I expect it to improve once I have a play with APS and settings etc.
The phone is quick. No lags at all. Plays all the games I can throw at it with ease.
The camera is lovely. Really really nice. It proper impressed me. Even though I managed to smash the glass covering the lenses. (I walked into the corner of a steel table at work) I am still getting great images.
It is a tad bigger than the G4. That being said; it is so thin it is very easy to use one handed.
The UI I really like. I find it straight forward to use and actually quite pleasing on the eyes.
I have opted to use the finger print scanner as my nav keys.
Took 30 mins to get used to it and I love it.
Finger print scanner is as fast as a fast thing on a fast day out.
Binned the head phones that came in the box as I have my own preferred set. Music is crisp and clear and big. Perfect. In fact the only way to get music on Poweramp to sound better would be with Viper4android.
Anyway. That's just some ramblings from an LG convert.
Need to now find a replacement rear glass lol.

My thoughts after a little over 1 week of full use:
Battery
I've been happy with it overall in the very short term - with very limited SOT usage, I've usually got ~70% battery life when I'm hope at 6-7pm at night after taking off charge at 7am. I have read degradation of Huawei batteries is more 'evident' than other brands and the battery length may drop fairly quick, but I'll wait until that happens. My only concern is the battery drains a little too easy when is basic sleep/standby mode if there's pending icon notifications/LED flashes.
Size/Screen/Resolution:
I've moved over from the LG v20 with a 5.5" TFT 2K display, which is the same for this device. The body design is much smaller compared to the LG v20 despite the same screen(5.5"), so its much more comfortable in hand. Using the Huawei supplied clear case makes the phone, in my opinion, fairly slippery with its rounded edges. The diamond cut finish is very nice (I've got the champagne gold version), but blemishes, if you have oily fingers 9etc) will still show up outside of fingerprints and smudges that are otherwise hidden. Just throw on a clear RINGKE FUSION case and be done with it! I can't really see any difference in the LG and Huawei 2K displays; would've preferred AMOLED, but I believe the icons/colours/resolution as just as crisp, so no real complaints.
LED notification light:
This was a highly attractive feature to come back to for Huawei, but the LED light is FAR TOO SMALL. Even behind a front-facing white panel, some colours don't come through properly when using a 3rd party app like lightflow. The 'always on' is not 'always on' rather is a very VERY slow flashing over a period of time. There is DEFINATELY a "happy medium" they could reach between their Mate 9/P10 Plus LED and the Blackberry Bold LED's in my opinion...a very useful feature.
Infrared:
Another great feature to have in a smartphone as a universal remote replacement. It works flawlessly. Even if you can't find your device in the list of pre-programmed devices, you can teach the IR as it has an inbuilt sensor of its own to learn and program specific keystrokes from your other IR remotes.
Camera:
First I'll say this: I've had two dozen smart phones in the last 7 years and say that each branded camera iteration across all brands ALWAYS has a big 'pro' with 1 or more 'cons'. Iphone 6/7's take some of the better still images with accurate colour reproduction and crisp details; despite its low MP rating and aperture. LG probably has the best video-rendering ability when taking FHD video (or at least from the LG G4 and v20 when I tested) and most other branded cameras EITHER excel in low light but suffer around clarity/crispness in details regular daylight photography, or vice versa - which is where the P10+ sits. The camera is nice in well-lit areas, but really struggled with 'grain' and excessive ISO in low light. I've yet to test much of the video to provide a review on that. Just accept every phone - MP/aperture aside, is going to have something great about it, but also something it does very poorly compared to the competition.
EMUI 5.1:
I'm new to Huawei with both the Mate 9 and P10 Plus. is there a difference between 5.0 and 5.1? I don't really notice it. Didn't take much 'getting used to' coming from a mostly android background. I did have to change the settings to APP DRAWER as a preference as well as removing the fingerprint sensor as a preference for swipe/back/home etc, as that's just foolish. I prefer the softkeys, but that's just me.
Loudspeaker and Call Qaulity
The loudspeaker is too quiet...and even at low volume settings, there's too much noise or speaker vibration, probably one of the worst loudspeakers I've used in recent memory. However, the audio split over 2 speakers actually reproduces quite well and the 3.5mm audio jack with basic headphones works as expected, nothing special. Call quality is also not worth much of a mention. It's very clear, I don't really notice anything negative about it...nor should I, this is supposed to be a high-end flagship
Internal storage speeds, Benchmarks and 6GM RAM
Sorry guys I'm not much of a benchmarker myself. So...if it takes an extra 2.1 seconds (or whatever) for the same data file to copy over USB or transfer between SD to internal storage vs a competitor phone etc, I really don't care. Yes, it sucked to learn Huawei cut corners on the internal storage with EXTREMELY poor quality control measures, but I've not had a problem with my phone and copying data to/from the device. I've also not really much of a speed/reactional/buffer difference when playing games from a 6GB RAM phone to a 4GB RAM phone using the same chipset. You'd have to be a very VERY high-end demanding user with 20-30 apps open simultaneously to see the real benefit of have 6GB memory, as I certainly can't see it.
Happy to take any questions or do some basic tests. I'm currently using the B126 latest software updated with an unlocked bootloader and TWRP installed. I have NOT rooted the phone yet, as there's NO point until I can get full system access.

My OP5 has replaced my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge which unfortunately was dropped and shattered the front glass. It's expensive/difficult to replace the glass on these so I treated myself to a new phone. So this is what I Love and Hate about my new OnePlus 5!
Love
The Snapdraggon 835 -The phone is Fast and bang up to date in connectivity support.
Fast storage and lots of memory- More Speed
No bloatware and streamlined Android -Contributes to the speed and simplicity.
The silent/DnD slider button -No more taking my phone out and turning the display on to switch it to silent! Fantastic.
Fast responsive finger print unlocking.
Solid Home button -Sooner or later the push down home buttons on galaxies start to wear causing rocking, noises/rattles, missed clicks etc because of their frequent use. Hopefully nothing to wear out here.
The deep blacks and saturation from the AMOLED panel
3.5mm jack -Can still use my headphones without an adapter.
Battery -Amazing battery life and the DASH charge is great too.
USB C -So easy to plug in the charger in the dark now.
Gorilla Glass 5 -better drop resistance, the gorilla glass 4 on my Galaxy S7 drop failed
Glass on one side. Feels less premium in a way, but reduces the weight of the phone. This means less force when it falls and less chance of shattering the screen. However metal dents and scratches easily.
Hate
The Camera. So much hype and so much disappointment. Good on paper and for taking 'benchmark' photos. But very poor in real world phone usage. The S7 camera is WAY better. I'm so disappointed I gave it it's own thread.
Only 1080P screen. Also if the brightness is turned up I can see 'noise' on the display. Also get some weird distortions when scrolling. Viewing angle is good, but not excellent. Automatic brightness control is also hit and miss. The S7 was much better. A big downgrade on the S7 display in all areas.
Design is good. But it doesn't look as nice as say a galaxy S8
Having DRM issues, such as reduced quality Netlix streaming. I hope this gets sorted soon.
Sound is loud, but quality is average.
Not waterproof
No SD Card support. Who really wants two sim card holders? Make the other slot for an sdcard like Samsung.
Price. £450 is not a value bargain like the old versions. You can buy a Samsung S8 on Amazon for £550 now.
In a nutshell. It's a mid range phone in regards to features and design, but with high end performance. I don't think it's a bargain. I think the price is about right for what you get.
Sometimes I ask myself why do people actually upgrade from S7 or equal??
The S7/S7 edge is only one year old. I think it's also nonsense to upgrade from S7 to S8 for example.
What do people expect to get? A whole new smartphone experience? Ppl knew the specs right from the start, before they bought it. Of course a 1080p screen will be worse than a QHD.
It's not waterproof, you knew that. It has no SD-Slot, you knew that as well.
For the smoothness and the speed to exist, as well as the great batterylife, there need to be some things that can't be amazing as well for this price. And it's not even bad on this phone.
I understand disappointment, but it's mostly because people expect too much from a phone that is only 1 year younger than the one they own.
I'm coming from a Nexus 5 and I'm totally happy with the OP5. My gf has a S7 edge. They are both good phones. The Samsung might have a better camera, but the Android experience and smoothness is GALAXIES better with the OP5.
Sometimes ist also about people's priotities.

It is possible that he thought he could look past it, but ended up failing at it. idk. All I can say is that it has happened to me. Mostly with iPhone, but that is a whole other beast.
I'm thinking about getting the S9 plus, but only for the bigger size. The stereo speakers and the upgraded camera is nice, but not enough of an advancement to compel me to buy it. The fingerprint sensor is still not in a much better position for me. It's still too close to the camera lens. There was a time I didn't want a phone over 5 inches, I felt they were too big. Now even my S8 seems too small.

I love my S8, but I'm waiting for the Pixel 3 this time. I'm transferring to Google fi from Verizon as soon as my S8 is paid off.
I got the S9+, love it! The camera bells and whistles are cool but probably not a selling point. The speakers do sound great, but I'm probably not going to use them outside of games much.
I'm not gonna lie, I love the lilac purple color - this thing is so pretty!! And it feels great in the hand, of course. The matching live always-on-display/lockscreen/wallpaper is sexy.
The fingerprint sensor is SO much better. The position feels way more natural, which means I'm less likely to touch the lens, even though it's right there. It's much faster and more sensitive too. I'm tempted even to try out the fingerprint sensor gestures business...it really is in a nice position now.
The fact that it combines a (much better and faster) retina unlock, with face unlock, and a much better fingerprint reader as an alternative means it's very fast to unlock...feels like a breath of fresh air after the S8.

I did I went from pixel 2xl, to pixel 3axl, then op7. My pixel 2 was better than the 3a I thought. But I'm loving this op7. So far my favorite and I'm on Verizon
How could you compare the 2 XL with OP 7 ( Pro ) ?
What about the battery life ?

I upgraded from a 2XL. It was well worth the money. The display is miles ahead, I consistently try 5+ hrs of SOT after owning since a week after launch. Software experience has been A+. Only real gripe I've had with this phone is the size is kinda unwieldy. I've gotten over it though. Don't use camera much, so that is not something I can really comment on. Speakers are also better than my 2xl as far as quality goes IMO. No regrets here.

The screen is miles ahead. Honestly, it's night and day. I didn't realise how terrible and "grainy" the pixel's screen was until I got this phone. The 1440p definitely makes a difference to clarity at this screen size, and the contrast, colours, black crush, viewing angle etc. Are just miles better.
The 90Hz is nice. It just makes everything feel a bit smoother. I could still go back to 60Hz quite easily, but in comparison it feels juddery.
The build quality of the OP7 Pro is really nice. The pixel had curved edges, but not really in a way that affected the actual screen space. The curve on the Pro is more dramatic, and that has meant occasional accidental touches for me when lying in bed and using it one handed without a case.
Speaking of one handed, don't expect much of that with this device out of the box. Surprisingly, the overall footprint is very similar to the pixel 2 XL, but the screen is obviously much larger. In particular, the length of the screen is an issue. With my Pixel, I could use the rear sensor to pull down the notification shade, or shimmy my hand a little bit to reach items higher up the screen. That's not an option here, so I've been using reachability cursor instead, which works pretty well, but it's a still a downside to the phone.
In terms of weight and feel in the hand, I actually prefer the OnePlus, though. I like the little bit of extra weight, and it's balanced really nicely in the hand. The curved back makes it really comfortable to hand in portrait, though the weight and size can make it more uncomfortable in landscape.
Onto the camera. One of my main reasons for buying the pixel, but I realised I didn't even take that many. The 7Pro is worse, no two ways about it. But is bad enough to be annoying? Not for me. After the most recent updates, camera consistency is improved, although it's not quite there in all scenarios. The 7Pro oversaturates images more, which I find annoying, but that can always be fixed with Gcam or editing. The difference really isn't enough to be a turn off for the average user, and the wide and zoom lenses are a nice addition for composition, even if they're softer than the main sensor.

You can swipe down anywhere on the screen to open your notification shade... Which is a way better feature by anybody's measure!

I actually disagree...you can do that, but you can only do it from the home screen, which makes it less useful to me
