Searched but not found a similar problem that has a solution. I ran my battery dead by mistake and now all it does is restart after a few seconds on semaphore logo if unplugged, or keep looping buffering circle/battery charge symbol when plugged in. 3BC takes it to download mode but it again restarts after a few seconds...no way near enough to flash anything. Any Ideas?
I was running latest makay rom (2.8.0) and Semaphore 2,9,15s......this seems pretty fatal to me but if someone knows better ill be a very happy man.
Thanks.
Keep it plugged in for a few hours and see if this fixes it.
I have quite the same issue with my SGS i9000. Im running on slim bean 4.1.2 i think and semaphore (quessing the same as above)
So the battery got drained to zero. I charged the battery to full capacity while my phone was turned off. It did this okay and charged battery to 100%. Then i booted my phone only to find out it to start looping in boot. (Start screen to semaphore and then restarts.)
i removed the battery for about an hour, and rebooted the phone but it didn't help at all.
Can't get into recovery (vol up + home + power), though it did go into download mode.
snapper.fishes Keep it plugged in for a few hours and see if this fixes it.

As i plugged my phone in in to charger it shows as the battery would be empty, but it doesn't begin to charge it.
Ill be happy to answer if i forgot to mention something important according this matter.
If you can go into download mode but not recovery mode, there is only one thing that you can do - flash an odin rom.

ill try that.
Thanks for the quick answer. Now lets see if that helps..
Tried keeping it plugged in for a few hours but with no joy, odin still recognises the device for the tiny bit of time that the phone it stays on, seen a few comments suggesting it's a battery problem. Have ordered a new one and will see what happens then. The old one was made in Sept 2010 and rarely been turned off since,so i guess its probably to be expected. Will post back when i get the new battery for other peoples future reference.

Hello
I have a Samsung Galaxy S exactly with this problem.
It has cyanogen mod installed.
When i try to turn it on, it shows the default Samsung logo, and then the cyanogen mod screen, it blinks, and displays the cyanogen mod again. After that it reboots and returns do displaying the Samsung logo. ... Inifinite loop!
When i try to plug it in to charge, it shows the battery logo, and a "waiting" or "starting" to charge, blinks, reboots, starts recharging, another loop.
Both loops only stops by removing the battery.
Exactly as this thread describes.
Also, i cannot enter recovery mode: volume up + home + power, but it can enter download mode: volume down + home + power.
Is there any way of getting it to boot other than deleting everything on the phone, as i assume reflashing it would do?

I also can't enter recovery, doesn't have time to boot that far. If it is like mine then you will be unable to stay in download mode for long enough to flash anything...if you can get to download and it not reboot again, you have some hope. You could possibly flash a different kernel via odin, semaphore possibly, and see if that helps, but if not you would have to flash back to stock and re-root etc (data will be lost). I will report back when i get a new battery and see if that is the issue (Friday Hopefully), I feel it might be battery issue because my ROM had been running perfectly for days and it started when i let battery completely discharge.

Flashing will only delete app data. All your photos and music files will remain.
Just an update... Battery hasn't arrived yet due to snow here. But just by chance I left the phone bootlooping without charger in and it randomly decided to not bootloop. Was able to flash stock with odin root, upgrade to CM 10.1 and restore my nandroid. Oh well.

[SOLVED]
I recovered my Galaxy Y(s5360) by flashing another kernel from recovery mode in those few seconds for which recovery mode was starting...
I tried that but got soft brick, not enough time to flash kernel image. My power button is now broken so I feel that it may have been stuck in the on position. Think it's stuck in off now. Oh well

Hi I have the same problem on my Asus tf101 the battery ran out during upgrade and now it is looping on Asus title screen pls help me
I have a N7000 and it was working fine until a week ago. My phone reboots by itself randomly and will momentarily stop rebooting if I plug it in with the power cable. The next day it would just reboot infinitely as soon as the "Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000" screen pops out for a second. I tried to wipe the cache and everything but no go at all. The last thing I did was tried to update the firmware to official 4.1.2 with Odin since that is the only thing I could do, weirdly the phone did not restart or anything while it was flashing. However, things didn't really work after the flashing was done. As soon as the phone restarts with the little android icon, the phone would reboot and shows the battery icon (cable still plugged in) and it repeats itself. The phone will not do anything at all if I don't plug in the cable. The volume up + home + power also doesn't work anymore whether the cable is plugged or not. All I can do is go to download mode. Is my phone dead???? Any help will be appreciated!!

TAB: Samsung P1000 Galaxy Tab
OS: Using default, Android OS, v2.2 (Froyo), never root
Charger: Original USB cable & Charger
Dear Members,
I have goggled and checked many sites including xda but didn't find the solution so I'm asking your help:
Problem:
During Charging (Using direct connection): Showing brown color empty battery and its keep blinking every few second
During Charging (Using USB cable to PC): Showing brown color empty battery & green battery level and both keep blinking every few second.
Without Charging: Samsung logo apper in the skin for a sec then restart and again showing the same continuously.
What I did:
I pressed the power button to turn off, pressed even a minute but nothing changed.
I pressed the power button along with VOL+, recovery modes come and goes.
I pressed the power button along with VOL-, download mode comes for 2-3sec, Odin detect/add the device and suddenly again the loop starts so odin removed the device too.
So, I tried but nothing work, its keep looping again and again.
Kindly help me to overcome the problem.
Thank you so much in advance for your kind help.
I thought lot of expert is here in this forum..

Boot the tab in recovery and keep the vol+ depressed when it bootloops: sometimes, it stops the boot loop. If so, factory reset the tab from recovery.
Hi,
Have been using my S3 Mini fine for a couple of months now, running Maclaw's CM 11.0 mod. However, about 30 minutes ago the device freezed and rebooted, and now I'm stuck in the infamous boot loop. I'm seeing the "Samsung Galaxy S III Mini GT-I8190" screen, which is shown for between 30 seconds and a minute, and then the device automatically reboots.
I know how to boot to recovery mode and download mode, but the problem is that my phone doesn't want to ... I cannot turn off the device: if I remove the battery and put it back in after a couple of minutes, it automatically boots. I have tried all sorts of timings and pressing the recovery/download mode buttons before/during/after putting the battery, it just gets stuck at the boot screen :/
Any ideas how I can recover from this? Force the phone to power off completely, or enter recovery/download mode from the boot screen?
Thanks!
Update: it gets better/worse: when the battery runs out, the damn thing finally turns itself off. When it's shut down, I can boot it to download mode, recovery mode is not working. Ofcourse, I cannot stay for longer than about a minute in download mode, since the battery is empty ...
Plugging the device in to charge it: starts charging a bit, then automatically boots and gets stuck in the boot loop again ...
Update2: what the f ... Completely frustrated, I just unplugged the phone, upon which it restarted ... and loaded my OS. And then shut down again ofcourse, because of empty battery. I'm completely frustrated AND baffled right now
Hi all
Was updating my ROM last night to the latest version of beyondrom which went fine and then wanted to try out cruekernel
After installing cruelkernel via TWRP the phone just hangs at the "samsung s10+ secured by knox" boot splash screen
When I try to enter download mode it just shows the charging screen "circle with lightning" through it, doesn't actually show charge amount
I tried plugging in the cable and holding the buttons etc, left the device to discharge overnight and charged it back up again, but no matter what I cannot get to the download mode or recovery mode
I have been rooting phones for years and this is the first time I am genuinely stuck, any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance
