Android Marshmallow and BoomSound speakers. - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey there!
Currently my HTC One M7 (international) has the ARTMOD V10.0 ROM, and I would like to update as soon as possible to Android Marshmallow, but I have a number of doubts.
There are many ROMS with Marshmallow for One M7, I found crDroid, AICP and unofficial CM13, but the only one I tried is crDroid and, despite its very good stability, it still has important bugs such the camera or reboots when you plug in the headphones. Besides, I'm afraid to try the other two ROMS because the probabilities that they were not stable enough, so I wonder: is there any ROM for HTC One M7 based on Android Marshmallow highly stable and without any significant bug?
I also like to use ROMs without Sense UI because although this layer of customization seems very good, in the future the ROMS that are made for the M7 will not be with Sense UI, and I'd to get used to stock Android, but have a great question: what about BoomSound? Is there a mod for Android Stock to return this power to the speakers?
So, that's all. Thank you!

Have you tried Viper4Android yet? If not, I highly recommend you to do so. It doesn't truly unleash the "Boomsound" but it comes very close; hence is worth giving a shot. Be sure to keep some things in mind, though:
Set your SeLinux permissive.
Always run Viper4Android in FX Compatible mode(can be found in the app's settings).
For a great experience, select "Super Audio Quality" and ignore all warning messages during driver install.
Toggle UI Setting to "Expert"(even if you aren't an audiophile). Play a track. Try tweaking with the settings (equalizer, reverberation, etc.) to suit your experience.

[Q] rom sensation xl

Hi all guys, can you tell me what is the most stable rom for sensation xl? I saw that many are based on stock Android 4.2.2 (cyanogen, paranoid, runnycm) then what is the best?
ps, all have the function beats audio?
Read the rules we cannot in any way answer your question becaus that depends on what you are using your phone for, and will be diffrent from peolple to peolpe which one they think is the best. But i can tell you , for now rootbox has most bugs i think. Rest is very simlar.
Sent from my Sensation XL using XDA Premium HD app
In my opinion Evervolv has been the best performing, most stable ROM I have used. I'm currently using cyanogenmod, which seems fractionally slower, and seems to have minor issues with apps crashing, although the devs are doing a great job with improving all ROMs.
If you already have unlocked you phone (unlock bl, rooted, s-off) then just flash a rom which you think fits to your behaviours. Always make a backup before doing this, so if you get annoyed of the rom you can go into your recovery restore the backup and you have your old rom on your phone. It takes 5 minutes to restore so don't be lazy
I am running Cyanogenmod 10.1 v1.3 from onyjay99 since yesterday and until know i have to say its very smooth, i found a few bugs nevertheless its very smooth and fast!
If you didn't unlock your phone currently, then make up your mind if you want to stay stock rom or want to get a custom rom!

Evervolv 3.2.0 and CyanogenMod 10.1 M3 v1.3.5 are great stable 4.2.2 roms but both contains few little bugs (today many bugs were fixed in the 1.3.6 version update of Cyanogenmod 10.1 but i didn't update yet)
Other 4.2.2 roms have great features but aren't as stable as the 2 above, contain many bugs and not updated since long time now
Also tried XL 4.0 v7 rom with sense 4.0 wich is a great stable ics rom , you can try king cobra xl rom too but the XL 4.0 rom is more stable. If you don't like sense ui try there is a sensless ics rom outhere just search for it.
I'm running cyanogenmod 10.1 v1.3.5 right now and i'm quite happy with it's preformance and i like it more than evervolv rom.
Only XL 4.0 and King cobra xl have beats audio installed. You can install beats on all of the others just search for "awsome beats"

Stable Custom Rom For Z1

i'm really bored and i want to try a custom rom on my c6903 but i really don't know witch one is stable and battery friendly. Any sugestions? I want a 5.1.1 , was thinking about CM 12.1 but i saw in the main post that it has some bugs and in fxp thread users said that there is some camera problem.
I was also thinking about it days ago. What is the most installed custom rom by the people of the community?
I will not ask what is the best one, because each one has its particularity, but it would be good if someone could indicate some roms, especially now that we know the Z1 will not get more official updates.
havent noticed any camera problem on cm12.1 roms but a big problem some users had including me was some screen problems..(screen's sensitivity is higher than usual and makes some problems) ... it has great multitasking experience.. good battery life .. lower sound output than official builds on default . I tested many ones and my choice is resurrection rom .its better than others... but i switched to official 5.1.1 pre-rooted with some customization ,became a beast... but i prefer the resurrection but i had screen problem ...
hope i could help you

Android 6.0 isn't even fully deployed to nexus devices yet, you'll have to be much more patient . We will probably see 6.0 CM or AOSP roms relatively soon. I'm not expecting any 6.0 rom based on HTC Sense UI. CM13 development started about 10 days ago btw.

Custom Roms
As I am sure you know of by now. There are some unofficial cm13 roms on XDA threads that will bring Marshmallow on the Htc One m7 for both GSM and verizon/sprint variants. As per usual these roms are in early stages so bugs are expected. Overall the roms I have tested work smoothly and features like doze, app permissions are present. Bugs like FC on camera while taking pictures and phone restarting when plugging headphones do annoy me a lot and thus I went back to stable 5.1 roms. You could try the marshmallow roms out of curiosity like I did, but you probably should wait if you want to use them as a daily driver for your phone.
Hello
I've didn't heard anything
VanirAOSP
I recommend the VanirAOSP ROMs. They're usually among the first to make builds of new versions of Android, and they do a great job of doing it in a timely manner while having a grasp on stability. As of their latest nightlies, the only bug on their Marshmallow builds is that the camera app force closes when you launch the camcorder app, but this is a bug with all Marshmallow ROMs. A big plus with Vanir is that they do support all M7 variants, which as a Sprint user myself, is fantastic.
I hope you enjoy it, and Happy Holidays!

7.0 port from nexus 4?

as the snapdragon s4pro and 600 are very similar and other than minor things the nexus 4 and m7 are close phones on the hardware level, how hard would it be to port this rom?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/orig-development/wip-aosp-7-0-nougat-t3448444
would someone be willing to give it a go?
I have not been in the dev scene since pre 5.0 and things have changed enough that it would be almost starting from scratch for me I figured someone with experience porting modern roms would be better suited for the task.
Why should someone port this rom? We have already two nice working 7.0 Roms for the M7 well both are not in final release yet but you can use Slim7 as daily driver its pretty good http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/orig-development/rom-slim-7-t348665. Porting a Rom is a lot of work and Slim7 is AOSP so i think thats better
Porting ROMs isn't that easy, even with similar hardware. Building AOSP-based ROMs isn't easy as well. I'm working on it since two months, but it has its complications. If you want stock-like Nougat ROMs, I highly recommend the Slim7 beta, which isn't loaded with a ton of apps, or wait until I figure out the build of Nougat ROMs and get a working build of AOSP-OMS (which is pure AOSP but using CyanogenMod's sources and build system, so it's easy to build for the m7)

Most up-to-date ROM to use?

Hello,
I'd like to replace the original ROM of my HTC Desire C because there are more and more apps that I can' install (Android version being too old) and for security reasons (Android 4.0.1 is getting quite old and there are various exploits and malwares that can target it).
I had planned to switch it to CyanogenMod but given the current situation, it seems like a bad idea; and I doubt LineageOS will have a Desire C port anytime soon − or ever.
I'm looking for the most recent Android version possible, as close as stock as it can be and, of course, keep the hardware features of my phone (wifi, bluetooth and such).
What options would I have, if any?
