Hi xda!
I accedently bricked my phone last monday. I wanted to flash stock ROM from Blazing Dragon and while flashing via smartflash I got an error. Since then my phone won't start. The only signal I get is when I connect it to my PC. It says that either an "Unknown Device" is connected or I can connect it as an APX-device.
no matter what I try, I get no response from the display. And I tried to restore via nvflash etc.
I'm confused and dont know what to do now. I aprecciate any help!
back to stock rom, and try to re-install ur driver on pc.
good luck

Hi.
I am pretty desperate and out of ideas with my X8 right now. I was just trying to flash in xRecovery this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1393520 , but my phone now is bricked. I know that its only for custom kernel, but I was just about to try it with the stock one. So when i have done flashing, I rebooted, and since then i was just stuck on boot logo "Sony Ericsson". PCC recognizes my phone but I cant access recovery menu. I was trying PCC and flash tool, and im stuck at step where its going to flash it. I hold back button as its written there, but my computer doesnt regognize anything (on the phone the green light shows on, does it mean that it is in flash mode? i really dont know, sorry). I have been searching around and i installed latest Gordons Gate (driver). I dont think so its hard bricked, because i´m having locked bootloader. Anyone can help me? I will REALLY appreciate it
ah..if it has SE then it still living ...use PCC
heres how i did it ..
1.enter PCC
2. click Support zone ( dont connect your phone )
3.wait for it to download (if i am right it will start a download? not sure)
4.at phone software update click start
5.it will say cant find phone then you click repair phone..
6.follow instructions =)
(DONT CONNECT YOUR PHONE YET )
at least you have a SE logo ...my phone got totally brick from unlock bootloader =(
next time try it with the kernel needed eh
use a flashtool to unbrick your device.
when you hold back button whilst plugging in and there is green light there still is some life in there. just do what has been said already.
thank you guys, i already repaired it with flash tool, my problem was that my computer doesnt recognized my X8 when it was in flash tool so i installed PC Companion, it automatically installed drivers and i could have done flashing
Hi. I think I've bricked a phone. First, it was somehow soft-bricked, so I wanted to repair it. I read somewhere on the forums, that flashing into it may help. So I did that. I followed the steps and saw that a green light appeared. I wanted to check if PC Companion repair would work then (the program is installed on other computer), but didn't know how to turn-off the flash mode, so I just quit the FlashTool. Then the phone didn't start again and I'm now screwed. Is it really a hard-brick? Please, help me. It was not my phone :/
Install SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) that should help u to go back to stock rom, and be ok.

if your phone is not 11w29+ its okay..maybe just soft brick
and u can flash it into stock kernel again eclair 2.1
u can download from my signature
BUT
if your manufacture phone is 11w29+..ehhmmm i dont know dude
Can you explain what had you done before you "soft-brick" your phone?
Actually, how to quit the flash mode in your phone is just plug out your USB Cable, if the flashing process haven't finished, don't plug it out anyway.
(If you could understand my language.. Hehe)
Try to flash it again.

I'm not sure if you guys understood me. I can't even get into Sony Ericson logo screen now. The PC Companion doesn't see the phone. I'm currently downloading the firmware and will try to flash in 10 minutes.
@MatthewWu: I unlocked bootloader, installed xRecover or sth like that, and then installed the zip file with romfrom phone's flashcard. If it's important, I changed some assert(<text here>) lines to just one assert() in /META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script, cause the installation didn't work without that.
The phone is 10W42.
Yup, I can't flash into it. Nothing happens when I follow the steps.
Try to flash Original Flash File and follow the steps correctly. (2.1-eclair)
I think that you didn't flash the right kernel when you install the ROM's zip file.
So to clear things out my phone is not bricked it is currently rooted and has twrp recovery installed. I've been trying to restore it back to stock but the lg recovery tool will load my kdz file everything goes good then it tells me it can't detect my phone. I already installed and the usb drivers and still nothing I even tried enabling usb debugging mode and it still don't work. I also tried flashing in offline mode and it does the same thing it just wont detect my lg g2 can someone please help me out i want to send it in for warranty purposes but i need un-root it before i send it in thanks.

Which variant of the device do you have and can you be more specific with what error there was with the driver.
