I need to make a decision on which one to get. I really want to figure a way out on putting a belt clip on one of these, but not sure how to or what clip would work. It seems the Noreve was offered with a belt clip which was later no longer issued as it was breaking due to the weight of the case and streak in it. If anyone has one of these and worked out a way, please let me know. Thanks:
Noreve
Tuff-Luv
I have a Tuff Luv case, reviewed on here a while back, great piece of kit and very well made but no belt clip. To be honest I wouldn't trust my streak to a belt clip no matter who made it.

Hi,
from what I have read on the forum and the net..
I can say, carrying it on a Belt (clipped) may not be the best idea.
It either goes well in your deep(er) pant pocket, or in your backpack!
from the choice, the Noreve seems much more classy than the later one.
My 2 cents!
care,
Sony
I agree. The device is to big to be trusting it to some cheap plastic belt clip. even tho I ordered the defender by otter box I know for a fact ill never use the belt clip.
The noreve looks better..plus there is a stand on the back , bit more functional
Thanks all for the input. I am surprised that many have stated that a belt clip is not desired. I must say, I have been carrying it around with the cloth pouch that came with it for the last few weeks and I really don't think I would trust not having it on my belt. This may be because I have always had a leather flip type case for all my previous phones for close to 15+ years.
The other thing is that I don't think I would trust to keep it in jeans pocket and other than work, I don't carry any sort of bag with me, so I need something that does not consume one hand.
But this is interesting feedback. I was hoping to get something more like this and not some adhesive thing. Although, they seem to only be selling a minimum quantity of 1500.
Also, Noreve seems to have this clip which I don't know if it was the one they offered before, but it looks like it is a new design. I will need to contact them to see if their streak case has the place to screw in the part that slides into the clip. But, the one with the rivets and backing plate does look a whole lot more secure.
I ordered one of these with belt clip number 01 (scroll down to look at options). They will custom make them to your dimensions if you want to put it in the case with a cover on it. I have not received mine yet, but reviews elsewhere were very good. They offer other configurations. Right now they have no listings because of the Chinese New year.
Well, it looks like the Noreve case + clip + shipping will cost USD $103. Probably twice as much as I was looking at paying.
I guess I'll be back to looking at the Otter Defender or the Tuff-Luv if I can modify it. So strange that most nice accessories for this phone is only available across the pond.

Yes, I had first look into this. The issue I have with this other than waiting for their New Year to complete is that I am afraid of dropping the streak after taking it out of the case. With the two I was looking at and also the defender, at least they are made to stay in a case and benefit from some protection.
I don't know anymore, it is becoming frustrating. With all these price points and pros and cons, it is hard to just try them all by ordering and no place to go an try them without purchasing.

I ordered the easecase large enough so that I can leave the Otterbox Impact case on the phone and carry it in the leather case. My thinking was that I have a carry case and I still have protection when I remove it.
The best way to carry/manage using the Streak as an every day device is still evolving for me. I have spent at least 1/2 the cost of the phone on accessories.

hmmm.....this is very interesting.....I know when I had my iPhone, I got this and then put it into a leather belt case, so this may actually be like the same thing. I would probably go for the commuter case however as I read the silicon is a bit different from the Impact and Defender in that it is less susceptible to lint etc.
Thanks for the idea. The cost will run it up there again to approx $70-80 and I'll have to wait about 2-3 weeks for the easecase part
2devnull,
I don't believe that there are any good inexpensive ways to carry the Streak around and protect it. I have seen reports of some people using a Nintendo DS carrying case. I looked at that and just didn't want to go that way.
What about this one?
Just found this one on Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/Zing-571-221-MPEBK1-Medium-Electronic/dp/B000E6S3TK/ref=sr_1_56?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1296433970&sr=1-56
Well, I think I'm going the Otterbox Commuter + Easecase route unless something changes by the time Easecase returns.
I too am looking for a belt leather case for my Streak as I don't like caring the device in my pocket too much. I did contact
I contacted Noreve regarding their CLIP and Case combo but here is what I got!
Is the Dell Streak case compatible with the belt clip?
Do you have a case for Dell Streak that can be clipped to a belt?
Dear Rafal,
No I am sorry.
Too heavy.
My best regards,
Michael

The Monaco Leather case has a clip. It will only hold a naked phone, even a TPU case won't let it close. More Pics

A lot of money for something that does not close and you risk taking out an unprotected Streak and dropping it. A little modification and internal size would be ideal so that you can put a protected Streak (with Impact or Commuter or even jelly) inside it.

The Monaco case is only useful if you use your phone with no cover/case. I had one for one day. I got it in a batch if stuff I bought and sold it the next day. It does look well made and suits someone who carries the Streak naked. It would be great for someone who carries the Streak in a purse or backpack a lot.
I have the Otterbox Defender on my phone and bought a case from eBay seller easecase. They will customize the cases to your dimensions. I will get some pics up of my easecase soon.
I offered the Monaco as a suggestion because everyone uses their phone differently and if you like going light and sleek it would be a good fit.
I stated before that I have not found any good cheap options. I got my Defender for no cost, but had to buy a group of accessories and then sell what I did not want to do that. I have more time than money so that method worked for me.
Agreed, if a purse or bag or someone who is comfortable with a naked Streak, it would be ideal - however I think I read that it does not close correctly.

The one that I had was a perfect fit for the phone with no case. The openings were aligned properly for the headphone and charging ports. If I were carrying my Streak with no other case/cover on it I would have kept it.
The Monaco case is such a good fit that even a TPU case makes the phone too big.
I've searched everywhere(i think, lol). Does anyone know of a horizontal carrying case with a clip. I have a defender at the moment, but can't really see myself with this case for the summer.
Monaco case
I use the Noreve case.
It is horizonal and has a clip. As a bonus it also has a little kickstand at the back.
Really great case.
Awesome guys thanks!!!
Get on eBay and look for a seller called 'easecase'. They custom build cases for most devices, including vertical, landscape, wallets etc. You choose materials, lining, fasteners and belt clips etc. You can also choose to have text stamped into the front. Very good quality devices.
I wanted the protection Otterbox gives, but I also wanted the sleek look of a leather wallet case. So I decided to MacGyver it and combine the two.
The Otterbox Defender you can't really find a discount on, you're paying $40 -$50 after shipping, I think I got mine on eBay.
The leather wallet case however varies tremendously! The one I got was $13 and i've seen them as high as $60. You can find them as cheap as $5-$6 This was the exact model I got:
http://www.cecompass.com/black-flip...tore=default&gclid=CNjZo_qSsbUCFUid4AodvRYAmw
The problem being the included plastic "phone holder" in the leather wallet case is too small once I got the Otterbox case on my Note II. With brute force I ripped the cheap plastic phone holder out of the leather case. I went to target and purchased 2 packs of 12 velcro squares, cost me about $5 total. I also used and would recommend using super-glue to glue the velcro squares both to the leather case and the corresponding area on the Otterbox case, you'll need the extra holding power!
I had to glue velcro on the closing strap too, as the case I got had a magnetic closure that no longer held with the addition of the Otterbox Defender case.
I also found the need to cut pieces of the leather case. The first being the edge near the S-Pen holder. It was too narrow for my fingers, cutting the corner off of it solved that problem. I also cut some of leather away from near the flash. While the case doesn't interfere with the camera visual field, sometimes the flash will catch the edge of the case and produce instant unwanted shadows. After cutting the leather, I used a black sharpie to color in the bare leather in the areas I cut which worked brilliantly =)
The result is the perfect solution for me. I have the elegance and usefulness of the black leather wallet case, and the protection of the Otterbox Defender. Also The wallet case folds backwards to pop and hold the Note II horizontally, perfect for watching Youtube, Netflix, or any video you want to watch. If anyone is interested, I'll take some more detailed pictures of where I put the velcro and the cut mods I made to the leather case.

I will be getting the note 2 tomorrow and I am looking for an otterbox for it.
I just got some bluetooth headphones for my note 2. i have an otterbox defender case and i was wondering if there are any armbands that fit the note 2 with a defender case. thanks!
Fwiw, at the gym I just put mine in my shorts pocket. If you're running outdoors I'm not sure what to recommend. That's a giant armband if one does exist.

They do exist.. Arkon has a nice one.
I received it two weeks ago and don't care for it much. Main reason being Branch chain amino acids are in my pre-workout and make my skin itch.. So having the band around my arm is hell.
Strength training/HIT workouts are good... Cardio is difficult because I have to stop every 0.2 miles to adjust it. Pockets may just be easier.
Anyways, op's question: the Arkon is tight with a slim case.. And I haven't seen one large enough for defender. You may be able to mod one with some sewing skills.
Aarkon will not work with Defender or anything thicker than TPU case. I did full review of that armband in another forum: http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-note-2/662686-my-review-arkon-sport-armband-note-2-a.html

You said in another thread (I don't have the link, it may have been on androidforums) that you were able to stuff the UAG into the Arkon holder, but it was tight...is it so tight as to be unusable? I'm actually looking at getting both for my Note 2, and it would be nice if I didn't have to remove the UAG.
Otherwise, is the UAG tough to remove?
Thanks!

No, its relatively easy to remove; pretty much how you would remove any generic TPU case of sorts.
Still would be a hassle to remove it just to put it in an armband, because then you'd need to find a place to store the UAG in the meantime.
That and if something were to happen, i.e, phone pops out, or you stack it, then the phone is less protected.
Hi all,
As above, looking for a leather pouch that is a good(not too tight) fit for the edge
Must either have a pull strap to get the phone out (and be a reasonably tight fit so it doesn't fall out)
or
Must be a sensible fit with a flip magnetic clip to hold the phone from falling out
Anyone seen any that are released yet for UK buyers?
Thanks!
Reiko or Cellbee. Both are on Amazon. I haven't used Cellbee before but it has good reviews.
My Reiko is still holding up well after 2 years.
Sent from my SPH-L720
Thanks I'll take a look!
KAVAJ do some nice leather pouches and cases too (genuine not fake PU cap leather)
The below is their first product which I'm getting for s6 edge. Their rest of the portfolio line up will follow suit
Of if you just want premium leather pouch then go for a company like hard graft (but they are very expensive)
Rebecca Minkoff
Try searching for Rebecca Minkoff leather pouch for s6. I am still not allowed to post pictures of the item but I guess that is the pouch you are looking for.
Search this Euro ebay like store for uniquely designed goods. Many wallets and pouches https://www.etsy.com/
Thanks for all suggestions
Will check them out
Budget it around £30 (slightly more maybe depending on quality / any guarantee offered)
