Only when some developer actually bought this phone, or the kirin source code is released... if not, we're pretty much screwed... CM projects must have enough critical mass before they are started, and considering the release range of mate s and P8Max is limited to some parts of Europe and china, I would say that we're pretty much F***ed...

Huawei is refusing to release the opensource bits, even the kernel source is borked, so no, no forseable development in the near future.

Hi,
today my Mate S downloading an update to B145. It's restart and start in TWRP.
I found an update.zip but install failed. Have I go back to stock recovery?
Someone has the stock recovery for german Mate S?

And yes you have to go back. There is another thread here somewhere with the stock recovery. ..or I can upload it anf help you in 6 hours or so..I'm at work.

And just to unroot doesn't help. If you were rooted you need to flash original firmware. At least that what helped me. (I restored original nandroid backup)

The Mate S is an enigma.
After unroot via SuperSU I can install the update manually.
Bootloader and OEM are unlock.
After install I reinstall TWRP and root again.

Yes, I checked for ota and update was installed

I did all of those steps and now i have blackscreen and my phone wont turn on....
I have twrt,unlockedbloader,beta 6.0,debugging etc and it dont work...

the developer said its tested on p9 lite as well,join their telegram discussion for more info

PRA Device is P8/9 Lite 2017, not P9 Lite 2016 (VNS).
This ROM will only work with EMUI 8 based Device.

The only available project at the moment in my region (Romania) is GMS Beta Activity. It is a matter of time untill more regions will be available and eligible to join the project which is great news because p10 will get pie after all.

Actually 166 of 200 have signed up.
I think that the update will be distributed not before 200 is reached.

i created an account with germany as my country, i succeded logging in, but 0 projects available.

When the Oreo beta was tested in the Netherlands I did not get access to the project; probably because I rebranded to dual SIM VTR-L29. Is the Pie beta only for VTR-L09 or also for VTR-L29?
I guess the Beta app also checks your country based on your IP address.

Only available in germany? No projects found in Norway. Vtr-l29c432b380

How goes the thing out there how many pointed out what date you have Project maturity
