After purchasing my Note 5 (SM N920G) I dropped it ones and the touch digiterlizer stopped working at had some purple dots on the display. I took it to the official Samsung repair & they replaces the display n the touch.
But after this repair my mobile data signal drops all the time & I cant even use it for whatsapp calls without reconnecting every 5 mins.
Is there any help or advice you guys could provide.
Is there anyway to check if this is a device hardware fault or my service providers problem?
I tried it with changing several access points too.

I would take it back again. It sounds like they messed up your antenna.

I have a strange problem with my Kaiser, the signal with t-mobile uk keeps dropping, I have changed various radios and roms but still have the problem.
Current Phone is: V1615
KAIS130
SPL-3.34.Hard
CPLD-8
Current RomDA Ultimate X-V3 (but have tried anumber of others including stock t-mobile)
Current Radio: 1.70.19.09 (but have tried a number of others)
Any help would be appreciated.
p.s. Yeah on my first post, been a lurker for far too long.
Do you use 3G networking?, if not, try to change under Band menu to GSM network, it works pretty well and most places has good signal for it.

I've had a nightmare with mine on T-mobile..
3 months ago, my phone developed a problem where it'd drop its network for a few hours, then I'd get a few hours of it working, etc. etc.
It was sent to T-mobile, who just re-flashed it. Still didn't work! Had it sent back and it was away a long time, I believe they replaced the motherboard.
It's been working perfectly for the last month until today - When it hasn't had a network connection the whole day! I'm worried it's still broken..
Hopefully our problems are network based! T-mobile warranty returns are terrible.
Aha! Changing my "Network Type" to GSM from Auto fixed things.
...But now when I receive a text, it vibrates until I reset!

Hi Milmirex & Jamiepyrite, thanks for the comments.
I've changed to GSM and it has been working fine for the last ten minutes, will test for the rest of the day and report back.
Does anybody else have any idea's how to fix 3G problem? I receive emails all day so could really do with this being resolved.
Does anybody else have same issue but with different network? would possibly point to hardware issue if you do.

P.S. I didn't have the problem with vibrating on receiving texts
I had flashed back to the original T-Mobile ROM when it was doing the vibrate thing. Flashed it again back to the ROM I was using before and all works fine now

Even I have the similar issues from last week. Mine is MDA VARIO III. Even after changing my band to GSM, the issue stil seesm to be there. For about 10 mins i get a weak sigmnal, then it disappears.
Where did you get the original TMobile Vario III ROM. I would like to reflash and see if it fixes the problem. Can you please direct me to the right place

I think my problem may be similar. I'm with Virgin Mobile but I think they use T-Mobile network.
Have had my Tytn II for over a year & haven't touched software or settings for several months & all has worked well. For the last few weeks I've had no signal in places that other people on the same network (using different phones) are fine. Sometimes if I reboot it comes back. I'm also now finding low battery a lot but I think that the signal issue is draining my batter as it seems to be constantly searching. I get low/no signal with a completely full battery so I don't think that the battery is the problem.
Might this be a H/W problem? Anything I can do to sort this?
i have the same problem. I use Telkomsel operator in indonesia. My Kaiser is HTC Brand.
Any idea why is this happen? Seems like A LOT OF Kaiser went bad this way

Yup bro, we had the same problems,
i had already try to use with XL, Indosat, and my own Telkomsel,
but still had this serious problems,until i switch phone mode into GSM
i use this gadget for 3G purpose now i must use only GSM
is there any solutions from HTC? I already count on the net and found a lot of problem like we had and still no solutions from HTC
Hi all,
Ok so I dropped my galaxy in my room (tiles) and it cracked the screen. Bought a new screen from fleabay, replaced it and voila. Now when I put my sim or any other sim I get no signal/emergency calls only. Opened it again made sure the antenna cable is connected and it is, done a fresh reboot, nothing, even installed custom roms and nothing.
Stumped, any help would be appreciated as to why im not getting any reception!

Check your APNs?
well, if you have ANY signal, even when emergency call only, that would mean: no hardware problem.
Otherwise... it may be cracked connector/board...

That would be true if he managed to do an emergency call. But your phone would say emergency only when you are out of reach of your regular carrier.

My xperia zr works perfectly while using Smart, talk n text, sun cellular simcards but doesn't work on any Globe sim cards or touch moblie (tm), this providers that i mentioned is from the Philippines.
I am certain that this phone is openline. I've checked it using xperia codes in dialler that i dont remember.
When I insert the Globe sim it only shows no service and emergency calls. But it shows the Globe provider in notif. I connot make call and text.
But when i use other network it works perfectly.
Is there any solution for this. Thank you guys. Im new here.

I am not really really sure as I haven't faced this situation before. Is there anything wrong with that particular sim card? is it possible to get a replacement and see if it works.
Someone in the forum might have better answers than me Wait before you try it out.

Sir I tried different globe simcards, Sometimes it works but when signal drops to zero it remains no service and cant make or receive call and text. But I can see that the signal bars are working. But when I use other providers like smart,sun It works like charm ( , im on stock rooter 4.3 jellybean.
Good day Lervzz, try using gsm only as your mobile network. i'm using tm and everytime I use wdcma, my phone oftenly doesn't have a reception. This may be a problem for globe prepaid subscribers only.

I've tried that huhuhuhuhuhu
still no service , but the signal bars are going up and down. In lockscreen there is GLOBE but in notif its no service sometimes emergency calls only.
yes its only a problem on globe. waaaa .

I'm quite sure that I only encounter that problem when I'm using wdcma only. Why don't you try bringing your unit to a sony experia stall, they may give better info regard9ing this. The phone was launched June last year which makes me wonder why your phone doesn't have warranty anymore.

Is it possible to grant my warranty even though I dont have the receipt but ntc and sony sticker is intact? This phone is second hand. :/
I send my phone to repair, I'll update you guys.. hopefully my phone will work again.

I have been having issues with my Note8. It loses the cellular network periodically, and doesnt acquire it back. A reboot is required to get the network back but then doesnt last long. I have tried most everything. Listed in order
1. Reseating the Sim / Removing the SD card to check if that was an issue
2. Switching network from 4G to 3G to see if that was the issue
3. Factory reset a few times, including once while not installing apps and letting the phone run with less apps
4. Changing SIMs
5. Changing SIM tray with an S8
6. Using another network sim card
7. Running the phone in Safe mode.
I have exhausted everything that I can have done. Any other thoughts or suggestions?
Phone is within warranty so I can get it fixed, but the issue is that I live in a different country now and they will charge to just take a look at the phone.
Side effect is that while hunting for the network, the phone gets hot and runs down the battery.
I am hoping that there might be a software issue, as the phone does connect to the network for a while before losing connection.
Any help would be much appreciated.

after they test for a month and big fighting with those F customer care
they replaced 1 with sealed box and the other one they changed the motherboard which doesn't help , still same problem

I have already replaced all the antennas, replaced the antenna cables, the antenna connection board, wiped the phone multiple times, installed fresh firmware with Odin, and even tried a new battery and screen. Nothing seems to work. I have inspected the main board and cannot find any broken components. I am hoping someone here can tell me something I missed.

It's not a network issue, it's an issue with the phone. It does not receive any signal from any towers, sometimes I can get CDMA signals to show up momentarily but not long enough for me to consider it working. I just want to clarify, I run a repair shop and I have been trying to solve this issue for a few days now with no luck, so I am hoping someone else here has seen the same issue and knows a solution

This is very annoying and I really would like to know how troubleshoot this (logcat, ...).
Same issue here with S20 FE SM-G780G/DS I constantly need to restart my device for it to connect to a signal and let me use my mobile data

Same problem here. I already opened my device S20 FE 4G and checked the antennas unplug and replug, still had no luck already tried factory reset, network reset and flashing fresh stock rom and still damn no chance.
I solved it now myself on my phone. I opened it up and found one antenna cable plugged in, but not properly. Now it works great.
I followed this video and funny enough, I had the exact same problem/issue:

I guess, everybody can do it, but you should get yourself a frame glue kit, because the back case will not hold again after removing it. I ordered one at eBay.
