Hello All,
There is a feature on an MCR MODPACK posted by Paul O'Brian, which was:
"A one handed mode which moves the button towards the edge on the navigation bar - press and hold back or recents to toggle"
Does anyone know if I can find this feature anywhere else as I upgraded to marshmallow and noticed afterwards that Paul's modpack isn't updated for 6.0 yet. I loved it on the 5.1.1 due my tiny hands and the sheer size of the N6.
if its not available, it is possible to request it anywhere? or can anyone give me any direction on how to possibly code it myself?
i used to do heavy C and C++ coding back in the days but never done phone related apps before. i managed to change the size of the navbar by editing some values in the build.prop file (i think) but i'm a bit hesitant to mess anything up seeing as I haven't coded in well over 10 years.
Thanks in advance for any help guys n gals.
I'm using the N6 unlocked/rooted with N6ShamuM 2.1.0 custom ROM, marshmallow 6.0 with Xposed and Gravitybox only
Cheers,
mar1nasr
Ever since I updated to Marshmallow yesterday, the quick settings panel is unable to display 9 settings. Even if you choose 9, it will only display 8. Is anyone else having this problem or know of a fix?
Any update on this?
Anyone that has or had S9+ noticed that there is a small lag on Note 9 when switching between apps or initially launching an app? I tried with Samsung launcher, Nova launcher and tried factory reset, reboot, clear cache/Dalvik etc. but the lag is still there.
When I launch apps on my S9+, it is instant whereas Note-9 has small 0.5s lag for some reason. Hopefully next update will make it as smooth or smoother than S9+
This is on both Qualcomm and Exynos models I have noticed.
I encountered that "lag" when I had Galaxy S8, Note9 seems to open aps instantly for me

the F and N had an august update, were you on that new patch build?
I noticed a lag when opening folders on the home screen. However, when I installed nova launcher, the problem went away. I haven't noticed any lag on apps opening. Sorry if this doesn't help. Have you tried turning animations off within settings (not under developer mode)?
Thanks guys, yes @bober10113 I updated to the latest Aug 19 update from Samfirmware.
The lag isn't huge and in normal operation one may not notice it but if you have it side by side with S9+ then the lag is very apparent. For example, if you hold S9+ and Note 9 side by side and press call icon on home screen then home button then message icon or browser icon, S9+ is seamless whereas Note takes about 0.5s longer to open the app and bring it full screen.
@GlitchMob I tried playing with the animation settings and that helps a bit but I think S9+ has been consistently buttery smooth when it comes to UI as opposed to the Note 9.

I observed lag with some third party samsung themes. After using default theme n few specific themes lag reduced significantly.
Try using default theme n see.
Rooted currently, as un-rooting did not help with the lag. My S9+ is rooted also. Stock Odexed ROM as well with default Samsung theme.
Just wanted to add that I have figured out the reason for this lag. If you modify services.jar file for any reason, it will introduce the lag. I modified it to enable the dual SIM+Micro SD functionality that stupid Samsung disabled in stock build.

Have you figured out a fix for this? I also enabled the dual SIM+Micro SD mod and after that, I noticed some UI lag. I'm thinking about factory resetting if all else fails.

No one has figured out the reason for the lag yet unfortunately and it doesn't seem like any of the devs are actively finding the cause of this issue. Factory reset won't help, the only current lagfix is to not use dual sim and microSD and use original services.jar file
Hey guys,
I am using the default OS that comes with the Huawei P10, and my phone is not rooted.
After the update to Android 9.0 with EMUI9 the pull down menu (quick menu from notification bar) is unbearable large. It seems like there are different DPI settings for the pull down menu only.
I actually can not stand the large icons, so normally I change to DPI 430 and/or change the size of text/display in the display settings.
However, it seems this does not have any impact anymore on the pull down menu.
Does anyone experience the same and has any idea how to fix this?

It is same for me and unfortunately it is default setting. I didn't try to modify anything with root yet but i seriously doubt that it is even possible to do something like that.
Same here. The dpi wont stick. I hope its just a bug. Not some crappy implementation from huawei.
Pie is out on the US Unlocked version V405QA.
Pretty snappy so far, but there was a dumb bug. When switching the home buttons to Pie style, I had to restart the phone for them to work correctly. Before restarting, the recent apps screen was on crack.
sound issue fixed?
is the sound issue fixed? and are the animation smoother when scrolling through settings app like no delay?
anyone cross flash this to the V405UA?
