Ever since I updated to Marshmallow yesterday, the quick settings panel is unable to display 9 settings. Even if you choose 9, it will only display 8. Is anyone else having this problem or know of a fix?
Any update on this?

The 'Auto Brightness' toggle was present in settings > Adjust Brightness of zenwatch 3.
I performed a factory reset after switching back from Nitrogen OS to MIUI 8 on my Redmi Note 3 (Kenzo).
After that, the toggle is no more visible in the 'Adjust Brightness' setting.
Can anyone please try to replicate the bug or confirm if the Auto Brightness in working with MIUI.
Thanks!
After Oreo update, it seems there's annoying bug/feature that automatically dims my screen when using camera, Facebook, chrome, pubg mobile etc.
I tried one temporary solution for that bug which actually works on my Huawei P10.
Let me know it this solution will work on your devices.
1. Turn-off Power Saving Mode
2. Go to Go to System>Developer Options>Increase Readability Under Sunlight> Toggle Off
3. Then restart and check your apps if it still auto dimming
And if you want permanently freeze or delete power genius...that solved my problem.
But I think because I delete it now in my power usage, software ia not showing...just hardware.
I dont know if its because I delete that or was a bug that I didn't notice))
where is developer options?

hello. I do not know why but it does not help me. only locking and then re-unlocking the screen restores the normal backlight and does not dim afterwards.sorry no good English.use Google translator. Olo
it doesnt help for me. any ide of this???
Works on my P10. Thanks!
Doesn't work on my Huawei Nova 3i
It seems that Velis Auto Brightness app from Google Play Store does the trick (Honor 10 Stock Pie).
Settings:
Automatic brightness: ON
track light in graph: ON
SETTINGS: (advanced):
Automatic brightness: ON
Disable system handler: ON
Start when screen turns ON: ON
Interactive notification: ON
All other settings off/default.
When you turn off the screen and turn it on, go for the first time in notification area and set your desired value in Velis.
Turn off automatic handling of this app in battery section (app start).
If you disabled animations in developer options, enable them again (0,5x for exanple) and see the magic.
NO more dimming at all.
Hi - I see this thread was originally written 2yrs ago, but I currently have this 'screen dimming in app' problem with my P10 Plus. It started in the last couple of months and may be related to a software update - I'm currently on EMUI 9.1.0.
The Developer option on this thread unfortunately didn't resolve the problem for me (perhaps that's not longer relevant now).
Can anyone offer any other advice?l to resolve this?
Thanks.
Hello,
only recently I purchased the Huawei P20 Pro (with Android 8) and was very pleased with the timeout option for the lock screen, with allowed me to disable the auto lock for a reasonable amount of minutes after turning off the screen.
However, after the update to Android 9 Pie I cannot find the option anymore. Was it removed or where can I find it? Are there maybe apps that would bring back this option?
Thanks!

The feature seems to be missing on all EMUI 9 phones, i can't find it on the P10 or View 20 either. Strange, it is such a major bug but not reported anywhere!

Hey guys,
I am using the default OS that comes with the Huawei P10, and my phone is not rooted.
After the update to Android 9.0 with EMUI9 the pull down menu (quick menu from notification bar) is unbearable large. It seems like there are different DPI settings for the pull down menu only.
I actually can not stand the large icons, so normally I change to DPI 430 and/or change the size of text/display in the display settings.
However, it seems this does not have any impact anymore on the pull down menu.
Does anyone experience the same and has any idea how to fix this?

It is same for me and unfortunately it is default setting. I didn't try to modify anything with root yet but i seriously doubt that it is even possible to do something like that.
Same here. The dpi wont stick. I hope its just a bug. Not some crappy implementation from huawei.
ASUS has officially released Android 13. Maybe it's good for the owners to share the experience.
This is what I read from the ASUS' support website:
ZenFone 8/8Z (ZS590KS) Android 13 software Image:WW-33.0210.0210.210 for WW/EU/RU/IN/TW SKUs
Version WW-33.0210.0210.210 3.2 GB 2023/01/13
Improved Item:
#Updated from previous Android 13 version:
1. Updated Android security patch to 2023-01-05
#Updated from Android 12:
1. Please back up your data before upgrading to Android 13. If you want to downgrade your device’s software version to Android 12 by official software package, it will erase all data from your device’s internal storage.
2. Upgraded system to Android 13
3. Revamped Mobile Manager, Contacts, Phone, Emergency Dialer, File Manager, Calculator, Clock, Gallery, Weather, Sound recorder, Settings, Data Transfer, Local backup, and so on.
4. Adjusted Quick Settings panel, notification tray, and volume panel to Android 13 design
5. Added the notification permission feature. You can adjust the permission of each apps in the Apps & notifications Settings.
6. System clipboard added "Auto delete" and editor features
7. Added the QR code scanner option for the lock screen shortcut feature, and the Control from locked device feature in the Security & lock screen setting
8. According to Digital Wellbeing setting, system color scheme can be set to automatically switched by the bedtime option
9. Adjusted the Vibration & haptic strength setting, Display and font size setting, and the width/length of navigation white bar when choosing gesture navigation
10. Changed to the Blocked numbers setting in Phone to stock behavior. You will not receive calls or texts from blocked numbers.
11. Removed the Call duration setting
12. Replaced original Style settings to new Wallpaper & style settings - Remove shape option, support Themed icons, and the system color is reset to blue.
13. Added link quick share feature in ASUS Launcher
14. Added Asus customization preferences setting. Allows applying the collection of commonly used customization settings with one click.
15. Removed the ‘Calm’ and ‘Elegant’ options in the Power button menu style setting.
16. Adjusted the design of the dialpad and contacts details page in the Phone app to display information more clearly.
17. Some 3rd party apps are not compatible with Android 13 yet
18. Upgrade system modes to the latest version, including "High performance", "Dynamic", "Durable" and "Ultra durable." Game Genie is also upgraded to the latest version, to allow quick switching of system modes in games.
Im on beta at Version WW-33.0210.0210.180 and if they don't broke anythink i can recommend upgrade to A13. It works much better
Good to hear. Just want do double-check, the upgrade won't erase anything, right? I understand it's always recommended to perform a backup first.
The upgrade won't erase anything, don't worry
Yea, A13 work perflecty
Confirmed working on the EU variant.
Of this update, what I like most is the possibility to shrink the enormous quick tiles to smaller icons. But the first time you boot Android 13 it's hard to tell the difference from the previous version.
I also updated to this firmware. It's great. Much smoother and less bugs (so far). Also, the small quick setting tiles are back!
Does it have the edge tool / sidebar which we see in Zenfone 9?

No, it REC button shows the same as on A12.
No need to activate it differently.
Thanks. I had to downgrade because it doesn't show for me. I tried googling it, but Google has kinda sucked for about two years now. Are there any troubleshooting guides for this?
