The 'Auto Brightness' toggle was present in settings > Adjust Brightness of zenwatch 3.
I performed a factory reset after switching back from Nitrogen OS to MIUI 8 on my Redmi Note 3 (Kenzo).
After that, the toggle is no more visible in the 'Adjust Brightness' setting.
Can anyone please try to replicate the bug or confirm if the Auto Brightness in working with MIUI.
Thanks!

Hello,
I've just installed Temasek KANG CM on my O2X along with the Vadonka powersave kernel and i noticed the the automatic display brightness setting is kinda dim all the time. I read that CM should alow you to adjust the automatic setting in CM settings -> Display, but i see no such options there.
Is this intended? And if so is there any workaround to this?
I'm using the same config as you, but i'd say auto brightness is good enough.
To manually change you have 2 options, either use Power Control Widget with Auto Brightness button (bad part - it only has 3 steps) or from settings : Settings -> Display -> Brightness (1st options in list) -> uncheck Auto Bright and use the slider.
when i checked my phone with phone tester it light sensor says "waiting for data".using the temasek kang with ironkrnl.does anybody else have the same situation??is it the problem with the rom or my hardware??i haven't checked it with stock rom....
Hi guys!
I have an issue with the auto-brightness setting, running on MiniCM 2.1.8
It simply does not work
Even if it is turned on, the backlight is extremely dim. Also, the phone does not react to any changes of the light setting.
The light sensor seems to be working, tested with a performance/benchmark tool from the Market.
And yes, I've tried the workaround described in the change log.
Indeed I tried all possible combinations.
Is this a known problem?
Can anyone propose a solution/workaround? Please help
1. enable autobrightness from Settings -> Display
2. enable Allow Light Decrease from Settings -> Cyanogenmod -> Display -> Automatic backlight
3. enjoy the great kernel and rom
Thank you for the hint!
However it does not help - this is the changelog workaround I tried first
I have been toggling all display settings (both generic and CM) but autobrightness never works.
Any other suggestions?
try to check Use customs Cyanogen settings - display - automatic backlight
if this does not help, just do a full wipe and check only automatic brightness from display and enable Allow Light Decrease from Settings -> Cyanogenmod -> Display -> Automatic backlight.
it should work. go near a light bulb and put your finger on the sensor (small circle in the upper right corner of the phone) and take it off and you should notice the difference

Thank you!
After the full wipe it worked!
Before that I was also experiencing various issues (LED notification lights not working, clicking on a given setting would actually open completely different menu, restarts during phone calls) - let us hope that this will be all solved after the full wipe.
Quite interesting, because this was a fresh installation, say I full-wiped before I installed the ROM the first time, but who knows
I wasn't satisfied with the stock auto brightness feature on my Tab Pro 8.4 (too bright at night, sometimes too low in day time). I installed Lux Auto Brightness which provides much more control over the screen brightness. With my current settings (Auto day/night profile switch, dynamic brightness adjustment), the default night settings work extremely well but the default day settings seem too bright.
Has anyone tried to optimize the settings of this app on a Tab Pro 8.4? If so, could you post your settings and adjustments?
Ever since I updated to Marshmallow yesterday, the quick settings panel is unable to display 9 settings. Even if you choose 9, it will only display 8. Is anyone else having this problem or know of a fix?
Any update on this?
I find the current Note 8 auto-brightness on oreo to be abit slow to react and not very consistent. Are there any 3rd party app that will work well with the Note 8 on oreo (not rooted) that is more consistent and responsive then Samsungs?
I think you should go to
Setting
Display
Auto brightness
Then tap on Auto brightness
After that tap on Reset usage pattern...
It should keep the brightness consistent again.
I don't think that you should install third party stuff for this..
