I just got this phone too, N9208DX and I tried to flash 4 different N9208 files but it won't let me flash, always failed. Can I ask you which file did you flash that worked?

the word unlock is just a link to a site for you to sim unlock your phone.
Got it down was able to extract all from it. .. their is a recovery.img in it hmm wonder can I use it to recover to stock system etc and still retain root or not?

I don't know what you're saying, but if you have safestrap, then you still have stock recovery too. Powering the phone off, then volume down + menu + power button will show that.

It is the only firmware available for the 900A. Take a look at sammobile.com. The same change list. ..

And I keep trying to tell people that the firmware from Sammobile and Samsung-updates does not work on our S5 if you've updated to ND3. We must use the one from the general section, which is the same firmware, but different file.
S5 active here I downloaded my version of firmware from sammobile.com and it flashed fine. Just thought I would put that out there.

That's because you're still on that same firmware. You have not updated or received an update yet.

Update will fail if you are rooted.
it will fail if your system files have changed at all. that means if you get an ota while rooted, it will fail 100% of the time.
Anyone have any idea what this update is?

If you put in different sim than device was flashed too it probably trying to update to correct version. ie:T-Mobile or Project FI.
I have a tmo sim In there.. I purchased from amazon, that's probably what it is.. I guess I need to restore to stock, update, then root it again.

Figured it was TMO. Yea, Need to just fastboot flash the 5.1.1 TMO E image. No need to ever do an OTA if gonna be rooted. Just fastboot the image and be done.

Not quite sure how to fast boot an Image. But I'll search for it. I. Guessing that I need to use the nexus toolkit for that, not twrp.

It's LYZ28E, and adds T-Mobile WiFi calling.
Today when I check the software update, it asks me if I want to update now. Does anyone got the latest update and any issues with it ? I am afraid the update will make the reception worse.
I got this N9208 from Taiwan dual sim.

if you are also using the original Taiwan ROM can I check with you if the video call not available? Is this correct?
Sorry a bit off topic but i asked on other thread and got confused.
See attached my dialer showing no video call button. The Sim card for both definitely can make video call using other phone.
