Hey guys, just wanna ask if anyone bought and tried the extended battery for diamond that comes with a back cover. Does it really work as in do the battery life really last longer? Cos i dont wanna spend $128 on something i dunno man. haha so yeah...
thanks
You might want to ask the question in the Hardware Section, there are already threads with pictures and experiences. I have two extended batteries, the ugly one from DX and one with a nicer back from eBay. The second one has some issues with the GPS, but there is an aluminium foil tweak for that, too. The battery life is a blast, though.
I have genuine HTC extended battery and it lasts 1.5-2x longer than default battery. Also the new battery cover is matte with rubberish surface, so it holds better in hand.
Hi,
Yes, I got it from some obscure website I don't remember, and it works well. My phone lasts the entire day now, even with some internet usage and such. But I definitely didn't pay that much. I believe I paid around $60 for it. It was made by HTC and came with a new back cover too.
See if you can find it and if not, let me know and I can try to find it again.

Hy. I have the extended battery and work verry fine nou. On my stile of usage , this battery is better by 40-50% . The 900 mAh battery power up my device for 2 days. With the new battery i can use my Diamond foar 3 days , 2 days with some calls , some sms , 1-2 hours wi-fi and 2-3 hours to watch movies . So...it work's verry fine.
PS: sorry for my english.
Hello,
The battery on my ace has swollen and basically not working without being plugged to the charger, so I need to buy a new battery.
But I really don't know which battery should I get, because there are many. Also, I am afraid to buy non-genuine replacement batteries, unless you guys will tell me about some good non-genuine ones ,because I heard that a man in china died after a cellphone battery exploded on him!
So far I found this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/PolarCell-Akku-Samsung-Galaxy-Ace-Gio-EB494358VU-GT-S5830-GT-S5660-Accu-/370602359890?pt=DE_Handy_PDA_Akkus&hash=item56499f3c52, but if you have links to batteries you know are good, and safe, and that aren't going to explode in my face, please tell me
Or if you find a battery that is really genuine (I already bought something labeled as "genuine" which was not, but maybe you know of a seller with real genuine battery)
Thanks!
my friend i would suggest that you should opt only stock battery cos i have seen many batteries which display capacity like 3500 mah and even above but doesnt work as described so go for new stock battery
and about your battery swollen replace immediately if you dont want a swollen face
HIT THNAKS COS WE HELP YOU
haha
Over the past 2 years I 've tried a lot of things to improve its battery life, following tips in many forums, installed related apps like Juicedefender and Wake Lock Detector. My phone could easily through one day if not using it hevily, however, I considered myself a heavy user, so I basically swapped an additional battery half day and has to change a new one semiannually before it was swollen. I have a dozen of OEM battery so far, but got my first extended battery (a 5000mah one of mpj) last month. Since I am not going to upgrade a new phone untill it can not work completely, I now rely on extd. battery. It currently gives me a total screen-on time of 6-7 hours with real-world use, and last over one day even with heavy usage. No reason to retire it, right?
Now i am wodering if swapping battery frequently would damge the phone??? If so, my next phone will definitely begin with extended battery!! LOL
can you share link from where you buy the battery that give you screen-on time of 6-7 hours?
and no i dont think it will damage, just wait like 1 min after you unplug battery and then put in another battery

moderate to heavy, 5-6 hours is my best! and glad to hear that it won't cut off my p990's life...lol
Thanks. Is it same weight, dimensions as stock battery? Because no cover is shipped, so it fits in stock cover?

I have this beautiful phone since it's launch in 2016 and I love it. Got it running on a custom ROM with Pie and I have nothing bad to say about it in terms of performance and usability.
Unfortunately, time + heavy usage "kills" phones and I am on a bit of a dilema.
Currently my battery gives me an average of 2h15 of SoT, on a very good day and I need to charge it at least 2 times a day. When I was younger I was a heavy user but right now I only use it on commute and Social Media and the fact that I have to have a PowerBank or a charger with me all the time is a bit of an inconvenience.
Therefore I would like to ask if it's time to replace this baby or if you have any suggestions regarding the battery.
Sorry for the long-ish post, thanks in advance.
You can put in a new battery, this will improve battery life a lot, I replaced my old battery with Nohon Mi5 battery and I think I'll get another year or two out of the phone.

It was easy to open the phone up? I once opened a Redmi 4 and it was full of glue, almost fried up the thing.
Yes, very easy to open the back cover, only need to use a bit of force with the suction cup, then take out a couple screws so you can reach the battery. The Nohon battery comes with all the tools you need. Doesn't have any glue, as far as I can remember.
Here you can see the Mi 5 being opened up - https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Xiaomi+Mi+5+Repairability+Assessment/79120
I changed my Mi5 Prime to One Plus 6 and i dont regret it. Got 2x more battery life (around 3 hours on Mi5 and more than 6 hours on 1+6).

Oneplus 6 is a good phone, but it's a bit pricey, and I don't think you can replace the battery 2 years down the road...
If I was shopping for a new phone I'd probably get the Poco F1 atm, or if you don't mind spending more you can buy the Oneplus phone
Has anyone found a good seller for a battery replacement? The one I found on Ebay sold a BM4C battery but after a couple of weeks of testing I noticed the charge wasn't what I was used to. Using battery monitoring apps I found it was only charging up to around 60% cap. Looking for a better replacement.
Same here. Took the hassle to change my battery to finally have the exact same charge.
After a bad experience with ipartsexperts (~58% capacity according to Accubattery), I got a very good one from AliExpress. A new battery 2020-04. Got 88% capacity, almost like new.

Thanks. Is it hard to replace ? Never did on a Mi Mix.
It depends if you ever opened a sealed phone before. It was my second time. It is not that hard and I used two YouTube video specifically made from the Mi Mix to guide me. A good suction cup and credit cards are your friends. Some tools came with the battery and may be sufficient, but I invested in better tools for my first time.
One tricky part is that I didn't notice that a screw was under a Mi sticker and had a hard time to remove the plate over the motherboard, but once you see it, it is easy.

How is the battery holding up for you? I got mine in December and it was working well in the beginning (3800-4100 mAh according to BattteryGuru) but now after two months it's down to <1000 mAh.
