I had same issue, stopped by Tmobile store and found out that the problem was with the access points names settings in mobile networks. Tmo person had same phone GS6E so we copied there settings and walla it worked.
Tmobile had replaced my sim card but that didn't fix it.

Does anyone know if there's a way to enable sending emails via the SMS app on the 8125 (without using 36245 as the email address)? If you try to send an SMS to an email (not a phone number), the app tells you it's not allowed. Several of us would like to be able to "chat" via sms with people on BlackBerries (for example) or 2-way pagers that aren't addressable as cell phones. Most other phones allow this, but Cingular has disabled it on the 8125. It certainly works on Cing treos. Doesnt work on 8125 with orig ROM or Summiter's excellent ROM upgrade.
Anyone know if this is a registry edit, or would it require a seperate program? Anyone able and willing to post a solution?
omg i just realized it's not letting me send sms to email addresses either >< I used to use send sms to emails all the time on my treo too >< ahhhh ~ any fixes please

You can always send MMS to email addresses with just text.
I'm curious in today's age why you need to send SMS to email addresses, probably same reason MSFT didn't include it. Can you elaborate more??
There is cross operability with all carriers for text messages so you can just put in the phone number of any mobile device and it'll work.
All Blackberries that are less than 3 years old support SMS over the phone # assigned.
I understand the issue for 2-way pagers but why can't you just send a quick email?
There's a need for SMS to 2-way pagers because sending an SMS is faster to create and send...since email requires a logon and data connection. SMS is the easier way to go if you want to "chat"
Send an SMS to 121
The first thing in the body of the message should be the e-mail address with the subject immediately after, in parentheses. Then a space, then your message. Example: to send an e-mail to [email protected] with a subject of 'billing question' and the body 'Please contact me via phone to discuss my recent bill' you would send the following to 121
[email protected](billing question) Please contact me via phone to discuss my recent bill
Voila!

I won't speak for the original poster, but I'll elaborate with my reason: I'm not an email/internet/IM junkie, and I don't need all that for work, so I don't have a data plan for my 8125 in order to use the real email capability. But, I do have the 100 SMS msg pack on my plan, and I occasionally need to send a quick email to someone when I'm away from the computer and only have my phone. I used this capability on my Nokia6800 all the time, and apparently the Nokia software took care of the special formatting, since all I had to do on it was type in (or select from Contacts) the email address, the subject, and the message. When I started searching today on this issue, I hoped there was a more elegant solution, but I'm perfectly happy with the instructions for a specially formatted SMS message (as long as I can remember them when I need to send an email). I just figured out that I can copy/paste an email address from Contacts, which I suppose will be better than trying to rember one and having to type it, so that's not too bad.
If I really needed to use email a lot from my phone, I guess I'd give in and pay for a data plan, but for now, this SMS trick works just fine.
Edit: almost forgot to say thanks to Hosehead for the tip. Much obliged.

Using Cingular this did not work...
Worked just fine through Cingular for me when I tried it this afternoon. The email I received looked just like the ones I used to send with my Nokia.
Has worked fine for me since I got my 8125. I recommend making sure you have a new "3G" sim, I know some of the older ones restricted SMS e-mail.
It works for me!
I sent the first test to my work e-mail. Apparently the SPAM filters didn't like it.
Second test to personal e-mail worked like a charm. This is nice to know.
well holy shi** i didn't even know you could do that. it had never even crossed my mind that SMS connected to e-mail
brilliant, johnson. brilliant!
I've sent email with mine through text before...
I was messing around with it when I setup my gmail account to forward me emails through text...
not working for me..
Hmm.. this is not working for me on Tmobile with an MDA.. Has anyone had any success with tmobile?
I have an AT&T Tilt. I hit soft reset after a hard reset so that the bloatware didn't install. I can send text messages no problem. I cannot send a picture message. I can sometimes receive them, but I cannot send them from my phone. I have been trying to send them to a Verizon phone and have not tried an AT&T phone. Has anyone had a similar issue where they weren't able to send a picture message and resolved it?
tytn/tytn II mms
Never worked with wm6 correctly (finland, tytn/tytnII)
-Using port 9201 & WAP version 1.2 -> MMS under 70k possible to send and receive, higher not (when sending , it just hangs in 99%).
-Using port 8080 & WAP version 2.0 -> MMS up to 600k send ok, never able to receive "errMsg: error" (your messages cannot be downloaded).
This is only my experience (Elisa Finland). other providers and countries propably work ok.
anyone?
You won't have your AT&T operator settings installed with the method you used to eliminate the 'bloatware' Search for the Network settings cab on this forum as it may help you.
I found out the problem. AT&T can send and receive up to 600k. Verizon can only receive and send up to 350K. I had to change the outbound pictures to QVGA size and had to adjust the video to a smaller file. I guess different have different size limitations. In case anyone else experiences this problem, you need to adjust your settings.
Removing the bloatware does not remove any of the phone settings. It just remove the unnecessary software.
Please go back and edit your start post Title to this thread with {fixed} then others can use it for reference. Cheers and well done.
I did a quick search on this but couldn't find it. Anyway is it possible to add mms to your phone? I currently have to goto the providers website and view to photos and most time that site doesn't work. So i was just wondering if there is a way of adding this. I don't know much about this stuff so no need to point and laugh if it isn't possible.
well, yes. depends on your carrier.
it is telus
I realy don't understand your question.
The diamond has MMS support.
Are you asking for the settings for your provider?
TDO
ok so then whenever someone sends me a text with a picture or a video i have to log onto the website to view those pictures or videos. My question is just like most flip phones that get them sent directly to their phone is it possible to do that aswell with a smart phone. I only had this phone and a blackberry and they are both the same in that i have to log into the telus website to view any texts sent to me with media attached to them. also i have to email people my photos instead of just texting them which i also hate.
it will get directly to your phone if the mms settings are correct setup with the
settings from your provider
I had the same problem (using T-Mobile UK), all I got was a text message with a URL to T-Mobile's site.
To fix it, just send an MMS to yourself! For some reason, you need to send an MMS before you can receive one (at least that was the case with T-Mobile).
Try it and see if this fixes your problem.
yea for me it was the same,
i called tmobile why its so scarry, they told me that they need to know if your device supports MMS and the best way is to see an mms coming from your device so they can be sure that u are working on an mms enabled device.
greets
i get this when trying tosend out mms of pics i took.. the pics are downsized.. so i dont understand whats wrong..
anyone plsss?
anyone can help?
I'm also now experiencing this problem. Seems to happen when you take a picture and use the on screen option to create an MMS message and send the picture immediately.
The message sends and a response comes back after a few seconds saying that the message format is corrupt... anyone got any ideas what may be causing this? I'm still stock ROM since Nov 4. 08.
Cheers,
DrSpain
since 09 no one has come up with an answer for this?

For the lost souls that find this thread I leave here the solution that fixed my problem (on HTC Desire). I also had the corrupt message being displayed each time sending an MMS. Nothing was resolving my issue. I tried a lot of stuff from deleting and adding APN settings manually to installing APN apps to create the settings for me.
What worked for me:
I created a second entry on the APN settings with the same data as the normal APN for MMS. So instead of having an APN for MMS I now have 2 (with different names). And it started to send and receive MMS. Not sure why this works, but it does.
Also, I've also read somewhere that selecting a different network to lose the connection with the current one and going back again that would fix this issue. It didn't work for me though.
HTC Aria / Android MMS Fix
I recently experienced what I believe is your issue. "message format corrupt" I could send/receive SMS, could receive MMS, but could not send MMS. What I discovered is that there is an error (for lack of a better term) when you import your contacts into Android or Google Contacts where the device, (for MMS messages, but seems to work fine for phone calls) does not recognize telephone numbers with parentheses. In the contacts you have as (505) 555-1212 you'll need to edit to 505-555-1212. This will fix the issue. As a quick test, instead of selecting the contact you wish to MMS and manually enter the number; it should go through just fine.
Hello everybody.I searched the forum and didn't find any fix for this problems,i hope you will help me.
1.My samsung doesn't show the sim contacts,it allows only to copy them to phone memory. Is it possible to show them directly form the sim card ?
2.When i receive a sms,it apears the senders phone number(international form),not his name.Its verry annoying.
3.And everytime i try to send a message,i need to write my number(" From: " ).When i try so reply a message, that field doesn't even show, and doesn't let me to send a message.
Sorry for my bad english.Thank you !
Alright have you tried in contacts then go to settings then hit more then display setting and you can pick how the phone show contacts phone or sim you can wave both showing. And have you checked to see if you go the right message centre number in the phone for you service provider you should be able to check the message centre setting on the web for your provider. I could receive text myself but not send.the message centre number was wrong for me change it now works fine hope it helps .

In the contact settings it shows only the phone option,i've checked that before.
And in the message settings it doesn't have the "Message center" option.
My Galaxy is a M110s,the Korean version.
I think it needs a fix or something.
nobody knows ?
