Radio is the thing that let's you listen to music in the car...
I would try one that works, like cyanogen
Yes you will have to reactivate, but most let you skip or use wifi

Radio allows roms like cyan aka third-party to be installed. You really shouldnt be to concerned with what those do though its not important for you.

That should only be needed on the bigger, prettier roms (hero, blur,etc.)

OK IS there A Way that I Dont have to Downgrade from 1.6 to RC29 to root the phone ? bcuz if i do that i have to activate the phone n i dont have data plan

I was thinking of installing a customer ROM on my LG-p999, and after reading the first sentence on this post I got scared. I was thinking on installing this ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1863281&page=3 , but I guess that won't work. :S
Any advices you guys might have for me?
Btw my phone is rooted, and unlocked. I use a Fido SIM card.

Don't really think this should be in the development section, but Rogers is GSM right? Any version besides the sprint version should work on your phone. You might have to do some APN editing though to get a data connection.

sorry for the late reply, but how would I do "APN editing" ?
If you're using a Sense based ROM; settings->mobile data->access point names
If you're using a GE or AOSP ROM; settings->more->mobile networks-> access point names

I flashed CM 10 by naresh babu( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715958 ) and i have not been able to use mobile data since i cannot save the apn-access point name. has anyone used the mobile internet from this rom? if so pls tell. Any help is much appreciated.

Problem with the EFS folder?
strange, but yesterday, i wasnt able to use data for the whole day. when my battery drained out and switched off, i connected the charger to switch it back on, and guess what it was working. even this could be a solution, or i just got lucky..
Hi,
I switched to AT&T from T-Mobile today. My phone works, but I can not get data to work. Wifi is fine. I had been running a non stock Rom, so I factory reset, but no change. So, I am wondering if I need an AT&T based Rom to get it to work, I have been searching the forum for an hour or so, but can't find out if it will work on my device or not... My device is the SM-G900T and it is rooted and has TWRP on it.
Edit: Thanks to the suggestion below I do have 4G/LTE now!
I am still curious about running an AT&T forum ROM on my T-Mo device. Will it blow up? ;o)
