i have note 3 n900A AT&T and using android 4.4.2 NC2 rooted. My battery screen on time is 3.5 or max 4 hours. IS it normal then ok . if not then which rom is best that's good in performance and battery life too
I upgrade to Lollipop and with light use I'm usually at 87% by the time I leave work at 5:15 PM and unplug it from charging at 7:30 AM. I love Lollipop even more than Kit Kat. Just wish I could root easily but it's a work phone and i don't want to wipe, flash, etc.

I'm all stock and 30-50 minutes of screen time and 45 minutes of calls along with 2-3 dozen texts, etc. Like I said, that's when I leave work at 5:15 or so. By the time I go to bed I'm usually around 65-70% and use the screen another 35-45 minutes. I use my tablet way more than my phone...
I didn't feel like rooting this phone as #1 it's a company phone and #2 with no way to unlock the bootloader, the time to root, wipe, catch grief from mt IT guy ain't worth it.
Sorry for posting here but kinda lost. My wife has a at&t note 3 on oc2 can I use Odin to flash oc1 so she can root?

Yeah I already done that. Question, can I leave 4.4.2 on the stock ROM slot and flash OC1 on slot 2? Reason I'm asking is my wife's SD card slot is busted don't work, I don't wanna wipe the system because I'm afraid it'll wipe off the OC1 zip and there I'll be stuck.

It usually never gets that low, but I'll use it more today and let you. BTW, when I'm connected to a strong WIFI signal all day or strong LTE the battery seems to last forever. However, in weak LTE/WIFI there's a noticeable difference, not earth shattering but noticeable.

OEM Battery, bought about a month ago. Old battery started to malfunction and couldn't hold a charge. It's legit, I Greenify all my apps and keep power saving on. If you keep sync off you can get really good battery life.

I get asked all the time the proper way to calibrate a battery; so, here's a proper guide for you guys to use to do so and save some post space
How to: Calibrate a Battery correctly on the CDMA Hero.
Charge the phone to 100%
Boot the phone into recovery.
Wipe battery stats
Power phone on, and unplug your fully charged phone
Use your phone until the battery dies. Completly. You want to use it until the phone automaticaly powers off due to low battery
Recharge phone
Repeat the Charging/Killing proccess about 2-3 times
Your battery is callibrated!
Hope this helps cut some questions down!!!

I've got a transcend 8g class 6 right now and it got messed up just this weekend letting the battery die. It did it the other 2 times on an old card then eventually went tits up not long after that. Needles to say 3 of 5 isn't a good ratio so I'll not be letting the batt die on my phone any time soon.

Calibrate your battery.
Let it empty untill blackout. Take out battery for 2 min then put it back again, and charge it to full, do not push the on button while charging.
My suggestion is to install and SPYCPU podesiš processor clock so you would not spend the battery more than they need. We also have a large selection governo, naćićeš best balance of performance and battery life.

and then not going into deep sleep (the phone gets warm)
Badass Battery (now another name, but you can still search Badass battery) and BBS (Better Battery Stats) helped me.
Thanks zkye.
So far i hv been using pretty alot of apps. Been using carat, netqin and cpu spy. Well the batt is still i would say average.. Im wondering how to read this thing on cpu spy. Especially the deep sleep graph. Is it sufficient? Or am i doing the wrong thing or what?

You can check version in settings, then about phone in bottom Guess you are on stock. Be carefull wiping, factory resetting and deleting large files as kernel can trigger a bug in emmc chip, corrupting partitions.
good you started analysing root causes. Always best case.
now if you dont care for warrantee you can follow directions from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29139461 to get back to starting point of install. Or to install the awesome speedmod kernel.
Alteratively you can add apps one by one and together with battery usage analysed you can fin culprits. With tools like betterbatterystats, cpu spy and badassbattery monitor

How i wish i could use those speedmod kernel and so on. Well im quite afraid to root it cuz im not too sure that im gonna use this phone for a long time. As the phone value will decrease if i void the warranty. But thx for replying my post tho. As for now im still monitoring my batt behaviour.

this done it for my brothers Note
thanks
Galaxy Note problem
When I got my Galaxy Note, the battery used to last for 10 hrs on GB. After upgrading to ICS, that time dropped to 8 hrs. And after ICS updates, it went down to less than 4 hrs since it was discharging much fatser than charging, and it was the same whether I used the original power charger or direct USB cable.
The original charger is an adapter + USB cable.
Everything went fine when i changed the USB and used the one originally used to charge the Sony 3D glasses.
Now it's charging normally and the discharge rate is around 8% /hr with WIFI and mobile data ON.
Hope it will work for you.
I've had the Note since February and its rooted but running stock. A couple days ago I took the phone off the charger and the notification of the battery saying it was charges was still showing. I have tried taking out the battery and rebooting but it's still there. Ever sense then my battery life hasn't been the greatest.I haven't tried a master reset though or getting a new battery. Any ideas what it could be? If this is the wrong section mods please move it. Thanks.

Nope I have not this problem, even I'm heavy chat user.
I normally get 1.5 days battery backup.
I suggest you to factory data reset your phone from recovery mod.make sure you must so backup of your files.
May be some low quality and unknown app is killing battery.
I just got my phone a couple of days back so I am not sure the reset will help much.

I say thats AWESOME!!! Coming from another manufacture, Samsung, I can say that even when I pruned as much of the Samsung crap out as possible, my Android OS was always in the 15%-20% range..... I have my Note Edge with me right now and it has 57% battery left... Android OS is 13%. I think you're good bud.

I know that feel about Samsung bro. Had a galaxy r and a S3 before I got this device! And I agree with the amount of bloat they put in ?
