galaxy note 4 910f got an impressive update in israel - no Marshmellow - Galaxy Note 4 General

Hello
From the fota i got today
* battery improvement
* ram management
And security
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/64244/N910FXXU1COL3_N910FOJK1COK1_ILO/
From this big update i can guess that Marshmellow will not come to us in the near future.

Yeah, just updated yesterday. I was already very impressed with the 2 previous 5.1.1 updates, so I haven't noticed any additional improvements, but we'll see.
Everyone can forget about Marshmallow at least until S7 is out. That includes the recent S6 Edge Plus and Note 5. The best you can hope for at the moment is the beta.

I'm not bothered about Marshmallow as when that arrives this forum will be filled with bug complaints and wanting the next revision ASAP.
They must just continue working on M until its near perfect. The 5.1.1 FWs have been great since COJ3.

What you mean by "and security"? Anything you have observed/know or just a guess based on being a newer build?

Just register there and download. It's free.
would take a while to download, but still...

Also in Austria and Italy (with vodafone) there's a new update that has different code but the changelist says the exact number as the Israel one. Hope to have it in no brand Italy too

Why starting this "new thread" when there's already a (long) thread about lollipop firmware-updates for the 910F?

[Q] Official Kitkat 4.4

Hey guys,
Anyone knows when the official stock android 4.4 update for the i9305. A leaked samsung document said it would roll out in may, but it's july and i still don't have the update.
I know i could flash an custom rom but every 4.4 ROM i try has really annoying battery drain (i flashed CM11, omni, carbon, LS) so if anyone has an idea, please tell me! And if there's anyone with a battery-friendly 4.4 rom, please tell me!
Sorry for my bad english BTW.

Well to start off with, Australia only got 4.3 on the I9305T in the last few months.. NC1 is still 4.3.
The reason it's not on the list is because that's a list of approved/completed updates.
The I9300 was probably cancelled as it doesn't support the Knox Bootloader.
The I9305 does support Knox, so it's fair to assume they will release 4.4.2+ for us at some point.
Until Samsung release some official information on it, enjoy 4.3!
KitKat update for S3 LTE is ready. It's only matter of preparing (add own bloatware) by carriers. Some of them already rolled it out. Search google for: "When will my device receive the latest KitKat" - should be first link on samsung site.

Thanks bro, i hope it's reliable and we'll get it
Once it gets released, we just have to wait for someone to un-knox it, so that 4.1.2 bootloader users will be able to use it...
By the way, what are the new features that it will have over the tw 4.3 jb???? (Apart from the ugly battery icon!!!)
Eagerly waiting for the update. I believe SG I9305 will get 4.4 soon. It's about time.

It's about the issue with RAM. KitKat was designed for 512MB RAM devices but unfortunately KitKat with TouchWiz needs 2GB and that's why only i9305 will have this update.
Theres no kit kat for us... I regret so much having bought this phone. Damn exynos chip!
Today i ve broken the screen glass...
I always tought that was a s4 or 5.. But i' ve learned the lesson, next phone: nexus 5, motorola x or one plus one.

[Android Security Patch Level | SM-910C]

Hello folks,
Few hours back I was randomly check device software update, to my surprise update started downloading the size was 100MB.
With latest Android Security Patch, unfortunately no Android 6.0.1
This clearly indicates we aren't going to get Android 6.0.1 for Note 4, may be we can expect in April or May.

My Observations
As usual whenever a new firmware pops up I flash it with Odin and do factory reset. The first thing I do after a flash is install font this time I have noticed while installing Ubuntu.apk font as it's my all time favorite font, while applying says fonts doesn't support. It was disappointing.
How to fix it?
This is a security patch update to patch up the security breaches in Lollipop 5.1.1. We will probably see Marshmallow in the next few months after Samsung has finally finished tweaking it for the Note 4 range.

Yeah, I just downloaded it yesterday. My update came with an additional piece of bloatware as my N910C is a UAE model, I just disabled it as I couldn't uninstall it. I can't tell what it is as it's written in a Arabic Language script. Yeah, each patch differs from the previous version as the latest firmware patch release is designed to patch security flaws that were found recently.
Out of topic question.. OP, what's the font you're using? Looks cool. Thanks! :3

I honestly have no idea what it is as I can't read Arabic Script. I purchased my N910C via a grey import online retailer, who probably got the stock from a UAE supplier. I didn't choose to get a UAE device, I got it from the grey import online retailer because it was significantly cheaper than it was listed on other retailers and it was also much cheaper than getting a 2nd hand or refurbished device.
Here are a couple of screenshots of the app I was talking about.

Telling you the truth, whether you find it helpful or not. Samsung never intentionally releases information on firmware updates. Not in Korean, English, Chinese or any other language. If you don't believe me, Google it for yourself in whatever language you like. There isn't secret information on xda you won't find at Google.

Nothing for now as far as I am aware. It is actually quite difficult to find a compatible ROM with 9200 due to difference in the modem with the other models. Therefore, I think we are stuck until Samsung releases an update for our model and this will be used by some ROM such as Infinity which was compatible with LP and 9200.

I don't think it's 6.0.1, probably just another 5.1.1 update
