has anyone found a successful way too tether I have a rooted moto X on US Cellular
I know Tmobile allows wideband calling and on my last phone I really liked it. Can someone tell me how to get it on my moto x?
Just like the Moto X (2014) will be getting Wi-Fi calling early next year with an OTA update, any word if the Moto X will be getting it too? Thanks.
It will? News to me.
1) This is the X 2014 thread
2) I think you're thinking of the Nexus 6 that's getting wifi calling?
3) Given that the '14 isn't supposed to be getting it (that anyone knows of): No, the '13 won't
I'm taking about the Moto X 2014. I was giving an example relating to the Nexus 6 that will be getting wifi calling with an update. I wanted to know if anyone has heard of something similar with the 2014 Moto X.

No, most likely not going to happen. Only version that would conceivably support T-Mobile's Wifi calling is the pure edition (XT1095) but there's no way for T-Mobile to push an update to it.
In the meantime try out Hangouts dialer. You get free wifi calling if you have a google voice number.

Agreed, unless T-Mobile worked something out with moto where moto would maintain the Wi-Fi calling stuff, it can't happen on the pure edition.
I just use "hangouts dialer", it's free anywhere in North America and I don't have a google voice number (in Canada and haven't been able to get google voice).
I thought when you call via Hangouts that you are calling from your Google Voice # rather than your phone carrier's number....???

That would make sense, But I don't have a Google Voice # and calling with Hangouts works. I can confirm that people I've called mention it wasn't my cell phone #.

If you have a Google Voice number. Otherwise it shows up as one of Google's exchange numbers. I

Only if you have a Google Voice # ... otherwise it picks a number for you and may or may not charge you for the privilege of using the service depending where you're calling from/calling to.
so i got advanced calling working on my N6 from verizon. the one thing im missing though is the dialer that allows video calling. is anyone else having this issue? has anyone else figured out this issue? I would just really like the video calling capabilities that verizon offers, cause not everyone wants a skype or hangout (i.e., my mom). Thanks for all your help in advanced.
Not supported yet by Verizon.
Hi everyone! Why my phone doesn't allow me to activate Moto voice in the settings? When I go to settings>accessibility>moto voice, the system needs and asks to activate moto voice from off to on...but it's impossible...! When I click on OK the phone doesn't register my choice...
