If I install CM13 do I have to wipe my phone every time I want to update the nightly? How does that work?
You can do a dirty install if the version of cm is the same, if you want change from cyanpop to RR, you need do a clean install with all the wipes

Hi,
I have the Touchpad installed with Milaq's nightly build 08/25 and the jb-app 2013/03 build.
Is there a way to update to latest Milaq's nightly build and latest jb-app 2013/08/12 without resetting the configuration in Touchpad and will have to re-install all the apps and their config/settings?
I was thinking to install the update via CWM-Clockmod, but afraid that I will have to re-install and reconfig all the apps.
Thanks,
Well, if nothing else, an app like MyBackup Root will be able to save all of your apks+their data. Plenty of other apps do it too, that is just the one I've used. Good luck.
You can try a dirty flash, meaning that you only wipe cache and dalvik (not system or data) when you flash it in recovery. Make sure to do a nandroid first.
There shouldn't be any issues when flashing the new nightly from the recovery (CWM or TWRP). Just remember to wipe cache and Dalvik cache before rebooting to CM.
I did an dirty update to the newest cm10.2 nightly coming from cm10.1 - no bad issues so far.
Be sure to make a backup of your old rom and simply try
I'm currently on cm11 nightly (04/04/14) and I want to update to the snapshot one, What do I have to wipe to install this? Do I have to reflash gapps, kernel??
I already know that for Nightlies, I only need to wipe cache and dalvik, but is it the same for M builds? Thanks.
Since is not a nightlie just clean flash (wipe cache, dalvik, data[factory set] ) to install.
M builds are more stable then nightlies
Im currently using CM11 Unofficial version.

-reset factory

I don't know what you mean by 'reset factory'. Everything else sounds like a go to me. :good:
I have a nexus 6 running cm 12 which function perfectly well.
the device is unable to install the latest cm12 nightly.
It got downloaded completely and is ready to install but when I reboot the phone to install the latest nightly, it takes me to TWRP recovery.
I dont know why this is happening.
Can anybody please help me?
If you need any more information to solve the issue, let me know
I never do custom ROM OTA's, but don't you flash the nightly manually? If you're dirty flashing just wipe cache/dalvik and install the nightly

I always thought that I have to factory reset my device each time I need to flash a ROM.
Can I download the nightly update and flash it manually from recovery without factory resetting my device?

yes. if just updating a rom, you never have to factory reset, only when flashing a new different rom. and you dont ever have to wipe dalvik/art or cache, as when you flash the rom they automatically get wiped. so download the latest cm via your browser, boot into your recovery, then flash it in your recovery.
This is what I see when I tried to flash the downloaded nightly build from the cmupdator folder
