temasek's KANG build P20-14
NOTE
This is a KANG build of CM7 ( CyanogenMod 7 ) for p970 and by NO means this is my ROM. I am just compiling from CM Source and 100% credits goes to TeamDouche, the device maintainer of p970 Ricardo Cerqueira and all other coders who contributed to CyanogenMod.
This is similar to a nightly from CM but has some extra goodies baked in. If you can't handle some things possible being broken, please don't use this and then complain to me for building it.
- Updated merged commits and 1 new cherry & 1 updated cherry. I will now spend sometime figuring out what is conflicting with my pickings.

As there are no more CM7 nightlies for p990, p970 & N1, I will continue to build till CM7.2.0 Stable is out or CM9 starts, whichever is earlier. I will decide if I am going to continue KANG thereafter. Recently RC started nightly again for p970 which is a good news. Still I will keep KANGs till 7.2 stable out or CM9 starts.
My primary support goes to LG Optimus 2x as this is my daily phone now. Secondary support goes to N1 & p970 devices.

How to interpret my build numbering?
- The first set of numbers was the last official nightly build of CM7 when I start this KANG
- The second set of numbers is my KANG build numbering.

U have a funny way to pose a question.
KANGs have been around whether there are nightlies or not. I don't see a reason why KANGs cannot continue if nightlies started again for your device. Hmm....what a good start for making a thread to provide support for OB users.
My KANG for CM7 on p970 doesn't merely just merged commits. Its merged commits + cherry-pickings.

KANG is NOT a custom CM Build.
KANG is a user compiled build from CM Source. But usually KANG comes with additional stuffs which is called cherry-pickings. These pickings are commits tag "Review-In-Progress". Once these "Review-In-Progress" commits get approved, it will go into CM ROM.

If its ain't fixed in the nightly, it ain't fix here. My KANG are based on latest cm source. I don't attempt to fix stuffs which I explained many times. I just compile ....

Just got a hp touchpad with a feb build of cm9 - updated to the latest nightly and flashed the latest gapps but still no sound - i seen there was a audiolib fix available through goomanager -> browse other files but that is no longer in jcscullins folder?
The volume slider works but just shows as muted on the right am i missing something to enable sound?
In settings -> sound the alarm slider makes a noise from the speaker but video games music and other media is muted?
I thought the lastest nightly had this fix incorporated already?

There are definitely optimizations, like this: "Fixed a bug that would cause animations between windows to be slow.", but the best new feature (dismissing notifications) is sadly iOS8 only as of now. They promised to bring it to Android in the future.
Although not a feature or fix, but I love the new Domo watchface, the animations are funny and so smooth...

Appears to work very well - very smooth too... doesn't seem to support 4G, but generally avoid use due to battery drain. Will update if any issues are found.
UPDATE:
No Camera app included, but installing the GE Leaked Camera app worked fine
4G not working
Bluetooth doesn't seem to be working - haven't tried Sultan's kernel to check tho
A couple of apps wont install - most notably Google Plus.. says not compatible. Have tried market enable, and locale changer to no avail yet. Will do some build.prop edits and see how I go.

Hmm... re-installed rom zip over the top, and got the camera now! Must have been a bad write or permissions perhaps.
In trying to install Google Plus (and some other apps that the market said were incompatible), got a missing library error, and decided to try installing gapps 4.1 - seemed to solve the problems, all apps installing fine now.
Still no bluetooth - won't even turn on (is this just me?). Going to try one of Sultan's kernels now and will update... thanks again for posting this rom
UPDATE:
None of the Sultan kernels appear to enable bluetooth on this build - looking at logcat's, I think it could be framework related - but not sure

this is actually v4 skinned to look like v5. wish i knew how they got data working. that was all my port needed. Wonder if he just used mine and fixed it. Cool that you posted it here. what miui bugs are there exactly?

its not v4 skinned, android version is 4.1.2, so.
there is problem with bluetooth, cant say more, i'm not using it as daily driver.

Have you tried building from patchrom to get a jb 4.2.2? I might work on that. Now that we have 4.2.2 builds. hopefully to much isn't broken. I started to work on it but my repo sync hung. I'll try it with different flags this time I'll report back with what I got if I can successfully get it to repo sync :/
yes somebody should try porting cm based miui again. when i did it we had the hacked RIL and the proper fix wasnt even in cm yet. now that it is official nightlies someone should try again. only major thing i needed was data

Yes it is but its not impossible port from the sensation (with permission if you use someone elses rom) and it will save alot of time

Yea I'm trying to get the PatchRom repo to sync but I always have trouble with repo sync but I'll try to build see if I can ask one of the devs if I can port what ever is broken in. The ROM. This is if I can get repo sync to work.
Edit: Sadly I can only find a ICS PatchRom if any of you guys can find a JB PatchRom could you PM me the repo link that would be very helpful.

Thanks Bilibox if I can get repo sync to work we should have a working MIUI tomorrow when I get off school. (Sadly I'm still junior)
Edit:Working on getting necessary things so I can start building PatchRom is a little odd to work with.

so sad the update dont include june sec patch,it means muktitouch bug still exist
but yes the camera improved( a lot of improvement maybe?)
and blink light option i think its already exist since 309 update its basically just turn on or off the LED(charging led or notification)

Nothing much to talk about. Kind of a useless update.
Still, no equalizer
Sorry but don't know anything about equalizer, but I think double tap to wakeup is not working, I mean the gesture bug is still there?
Also the multitouch bug is still present.
Can't comment on camera performance.

No, double tap to wake up is working for me..!
Double tap to wake which was working for me till the last update stopped working right after this update for me.
Some apps have stopped working.
The SonyLiv App will crash when trying to play video after the latest update. Prime Video will work, as will YouTube. Lots of work still to be done on the software side.

try to turn off your lockscreen, turn off your gesture (zen motion), restart your phone and then turn on ur zen motion, try it, if its works, turn on your lock screen.

Delete app data and cache and try again. Same for someone for whom bokeh mode is not wprking, just delete camera app data

Phone rebooted
Experienced a reboot with .311. This never happened with .309
Is any one checked that Activity launcher is working or not? When I open app crashed immediately. Any solution?
Issues noticed so far:
* Camera flash is disabled except available only in 'Auto Mode'
* Screen Multitouch still lags
* Fingerprint doesn't work many times
Anyone facing battery drains at faster rate after this update? And also skipping percentage?
