I recently flashed cm on to my new droid turbo but the one thing that I can not get to work for some reason even after reflashing the image is the LTE on Verizon. Only the 3G works and even that randomly cuts out at times.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Are you on the latest release of cm 12.1 I was having this issue but updating appears to have fixed it. Make sure you are running the latest radio as well.
How do I know if I am running the latest radio or not?
I am running the latest highly release right now also
Any ideas what might be the problem?
I started having this issue as well. Everything is up to date. I even got a new sim from Verizon, but that did not help.
I have tried factory resets and even trying resurrection remix but it doesn't get 4g either. Also I can't access the apn which might be part of the problem. Maybe. But I can't figure that out either

I have had the same problem for about a week and a half, and is really starting to frustrate me.
Tried reflashing the radio SU4TL-44, resurrection remix, CM12.1, computerfreek's near stock rom, modifying the apn. Nothing has worked, except computerfreek's rom kept 4g for about a day, then lost it too. Was about to try to get a new SIM from Verizon to try that out, but won't now if it didn't help others.

I'm also having a similar issue. I'm stuck with 3g. Something to note in my case is that instead of the VZWINTERNET APN I have to use the VZWCF apn.
I was able to reflash cm and get lte to work for two days but now it is back to how it was and I can't even access the APN settings. Some how they are hidden.

That helped me be able to get into the APN setting menu but I am not sure I would need to change. There are 5 different APN profiles already made and the vzwinternet is the one selected

The way that i got lte to work for two days was to flash the stock ROM and then flash cm back on the phone. But I don't want to keep doing that every few days to keep lte working. So we need to find another solution

If it helps you, what I had to do to fix my connection is this:
I had no data. Then I changed an APN from VZWINTERNET to VZWCF (You probably won't need to do that though).
Then, I had 3g, but not 4g. To fix that, I reflashed the Turbo radio image.
If you don't have it, I can give you a TWRP zip I used for the radio image.
Good luck!

Didn't work for me unfortunately. I downloaded the zip twice just to be sure, but it was the same radio update that I had used the previously, and still didn't solve my problem. I still have 3g on multiple ROMs.
Anyone else still having this issue?

So far it has been hit and miss when flashing 2.3 ROM's on my Nexus One.
For example I can flash the same ROM but depending on the order maybe I'm usually not getting any data connection icon or anything. It's like it's not there.
But every once and awhile I manage to flash something in the correct order and it appears. I make a backup when this happens and its fine. However if I want to flash any new 2.3 ROM I have to start the guessing game all over.
Can anyone explain what exactly is happening here or how I can get a data connection every time?
Thanks in advance.
Are you with an odd ball carrier?

I have exactly the same issue! After searching/posting about it on here, and across the WWW in general, i was starting to think i was the only person with this problem.
I'm on Vodafone UK so it's not as if it's a small carrier! Somebody suggested using an App thats available from the Market to backup your apn settings and then use it to re-apply them to the new ROM. I've returned to stock now but if you want to give that a try i'd be interested to hear if it helps.
APN Back & Restore will definitely do the job, I've tried it.
MicroMod777 GB included a Vodafone APN, but I used my backed up one just to be sure.

Be good to know if this works for the OP. I tried the Vodafone apn setting when running the ROM you mentioned but that didn't help. Perhaps the app would have done the trick.

OK I figured out that APN Backup and Restore is a program. Now I have a backup of my APN ... HOWEVER ... Now I have a new problem lol.
The version of 2.3 has no file manager or way to install the .apk file of APN Backup and restore ...
How does one go about installing things without some sort of file browser? IS there a work around for this problem?
Am I missing something totally obvious?

Hey guys. I've had a Raider on Rogers for quite some time, and the Dark Raider rom with KozmikKernel RC1 has been working well for me for what I need. However, the Wi-Fi hotspot hasn't been working for me no matter how many different third-party tethering programs I installed. I'm on the AT&T build.prop. Is there any way I can fix this problem on my current setup, or should I just switch over to stock Rogers ICS and go back to a custom ROM later?
I've also attached a screenshot of what happens on the default hotspot app (My phone crashed while trying to take the screenshot.... weird )
Try the beta 12 from kozmick , or faux 123 (007 kernel) see if that works for ya.

I just installed beta 13 and it didn't work. Also, my phone's performance is now choppier, probably because of the badass governor.
i hope i helped.
i have had the same issue before, and after a lot of reading and searching, i came to figure out what i was doing wrong.
you should keep reading and searching too, you will learn a lot.
but i will tell you what i know and i hope it helps.. it all has to do with the way you flash roms and kernells to your device. if you have already achieved S-off, then your problem may be a lil more difficult,, but if you are just fastboot unlock and rooted.. what you need to do is stract the boot.img of the file that has the kernell inside the rom zip. and flash that separately via fastboot.
place the boot on ur file that ur using to flash stuff, and then use the proper command,
"fastboot flash boot boot.img" in command pront,
if u are confuse, take a look into this guide. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1416836

Tried that with several ROMs and several kernels - still get the same error. Thought I had it fixed with that world-famous Illuminati ROM, but alas it was not to be.
It has to be an APN problem, in that it's looking for AT&T info and not finding it. That's all I can think of it being...

On a stock ROM, that's exactly what I see. It works on stock but any modded ROM gives me an error. It works on AT&T, but not on any other carrier. That's what I'm trying to figure out.

Actually I'm using this on my HTC Vivid for tethering!! I did this that a saw on a Vivid ROM thread, I think it was on Dark Raider's..... so I don't deserve any credit, I just want to help. I'm rooted and tried it and it works perfectly!! You can just hit the thank you button.
You'll need SQ Lite Editor:
1) Dialer Storage
2) telephony.db
3) carriers
4) 12 Entitlement 310410
you shoud change the value under "apn" from "broadband" to "pta"
5) Please restart your device and you will get it!!
Running Beanstalk.
Have been having intermittent issues with mobile data, so I'm sadly familiar with toggling Airplane mode, changing the CMDA subscription, rebooting, etc. in order to jog mobile data into working again. Lately have been having a weird, sporadic problem with people I call only hearing static on my end, so I chatted with Sprint, got to the point where they suggest typing the code to reset/update PRLs into the dialer, and bailed.
Then, in my infinite wisdom decided to try flashing a Sense ROM, proceeding with the manual PRL update/reset, and then wiping and restoring my Beanstalk nandroid.
Now I can't make or receive calls or texts at all, no matter what I do. Have tried all the old toggles. Have tried a complete reflash of Beanstalk. I'm beginning to worry I seriously borked something up.
Is anyone familiar with this kind of situation? Did I screw up, and if so, how bad? Any solutions anyone can think of? I'd be most grateful for any and all help. Thanks guys.

Okay here is what you can do, there is an app floating around these forums that can allow you to manually write the prl, find that, and then use a stock prl for sprint. I believe this post will help:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2296167
Let me know if that helps.
Oh and also yeah flashing a different rom wouldnt help because they do not contain any of that information, in fact i think all the carrier information is stored in a different partition for this exact reason -so they cant be easily overwritten.
I build the Beanstalk here and haven't come across that issue yet. Do you have a backup of your original stock ROM? You need to get back to straight stock, like out of the box stock. From there, you can update your prls or anything else OTA-style, check your functionality, then redownload the Beanstalk ROM from here, do a full wipe(no internal data), install the fresh DL, Gapps, fix permissions(PhilzTouch 6.0.3.3 only), and reboot. Should be good to go and should only need to toggle airplane for reboots and occasionally for the wifi. Let me know how it goes, either here, on the BS thread or by PM. Good luck....
If you have no original back up(after getting back to straight stock, MAKE ONE), then use Bigdaddy619s threads on getting back to stock. After that, then follow the steps above.
You should always make an original back up of stock directly after rooting and unlocking. ALWAYS

BMP - Beanstalk rules - it's definitely my fault. If I have a back-up made just after getting S-OFF, would that work?

Worked!
I think what I'd originally goofed was not immediately rebooting after the prl update, since the Sprint lady didn't mention that step (or maybe I didn't hear her). This time I immediately rebooted and data came back, and then I was able to flash BeanStalk and stay functional.
Many thanks to both of you!

I've wiped everything and reflashed twice, and the APN definitelt isn't the issue. I've checked it against the same APN I used on the stock ROM, and I also tried all of the other existing possible Straight Talk APNs.
I'm almost positive it's something more because Straight Talk has an "APN Setter" app which reads your current sim card and network settings and tells you what APN to use based on that. It's always worked for me in the past, but on CM12 it gives me an error and tells me to try again later, when I'm connected to WiFi.
Is there anything else I could try or am I stuck on the stock rom?
still can't get this working at all. Have tried every APN under the sun. Reflashed many times. I got data when I went to 6.0 but other things were broken so I went back to 5.1 and still no data.
Could I take something that was making the data work in M and put it in the 5.1 rom to make it work?

Obviously you haven't done a proper clean flash. I've flashed every rom available and no fcs. Only time I've had signal trouble was with att(gsm). Never lost signal, would just go from 2 bars to none then back again, but never lost signal.

Hey, after decrypting my phone and using the method you posted in the pe thread to flash roms, I am still getting service problems. I've also noticed that anytime I have tried to open carrier settings on the phone, I get a ".com.android.phone has stopped." So I cant update the prl at all. I've seen people post about modifying the APN settings but I thought that was irrelevant on sprint. I'm honestly out of ideas.

Well, when nothing helps, it's time to go back to stock.
Get firmware for your location - different firmware (modem especially) for different markets.
Don't use any "tools" or .bat files you find here and flash with fastboot - do 1 command at a time and note results, (remove sim before flashing and reinsert after you've booted into stock once).
See what happens. Sometimes things get messed up enough to where flashing stock is the only thing to do. That'll really clean it out.
I had a real funky issue when going from att to vz. Spent hours with straight talk trying to sort it out (had 4g but no calls or texts). Flashed stock - popped sim in - bang - everything working, and has been ever since and I've flashed them all, some several times, still good.

When I first got my xt1806 I didn't load a Sim card in it when I powered it up, I immediately unlocked the bootloader, installed recovery, flashed a ROM and just used WiFi for a few days with no issues. But once I did put a new Sim in it I noticed all I could get was 3g - and with every other ROM I installed all I could get was 3g no matter what I tried. The only solution was to fastboot flash back to stock, install the Sim, power it up, & let it "register"(send a text or make a call & also verify 4g works) with the network. I'm not saying you did the same thing I did, but the fix should be flashing back to stock.
*Copy your internal memory somewhwere before you reflash stock in case everything gets wiped.
*I'm on Verizon btw, so my experience may or may not apply to Sprint.
Sprint problems with 4g
I know this isn't my thread but I shall try anyway. I have the Sprint version of the g5 s plus. I have tried every way of flashing a rom that I can think of (all wipes rom then gapps magisk, magisk then gapps, rom and no gapps or magisk, etc.). I cannot manage to keep 4g after flashing. I have backed up my efs with twrp and tried restoring it. Nothing. I've used fastboot to flash nhlos erase modems1&2 flash fsg. I tried *#*#463whatever to turn it back on and nothing. I've checked all settings and tried all things I know of. Still nothing. The only way I can get/keep 4g is by using stock rooted which I hate. . Is this just a specific problem to my type of phone or is there something I'm missing? Is there a different firmware or modem I could use or something? Any thoughts or ideas would be great cause I'm stumped.
