Cant mount CD into PC

Hi all,
I'm currently using MIUI 2.1a released in this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1588360
I connect my phone into pc and toggle on the mount usb storage but i cant see the external drive in my computer.
I tried it with diffrerent PC's and reflashed the same ROM result is the same. Any ideas?
PS:It was working before.(with this ROM) after a certain thing(dont know what) it happened.
Try reinstall the LG-drivers from the LG-page.
Could try usb debugging and check to see whether your PC even recognises ur phone using the command "adb devices".
Then if ur phones is recognised it should install drivers automatically (if ur on windows 7).
If not then as @pacos1 said, install the LG United Mobile Drivers either through the lg P970 support page or through their update module.

Fastboot USB error: A request for the USB BOS descriptor failed

Hello all,
I got an old 5830 Galaxy Ace I wanna hand over to a friend. I want to flash stock ROM onto it.
When I start the phone normally I can connect via USB cable and see the files on the device.
However when entering 'downloading' mode (power+volume down+home) I get the error: This device cannot start. (Code 10) "A request for the USB BOS descriptor failed." (copied from Device Manager properties of Samsung USB Composite Device). I also see this ballon pop in in the sys tray
The device does NOT show up in either Odin or Flashtool.
I am on Win 8.1 64bit laptop. I have searched and trawled the internet already and did the following:
- disabled signature verification in startup options of windows
- installed fastboot drivers via flashtool
- installed Samsung USB drivers
- tried 4 different USB ports and two different cables (and also on another laptop)
Can anyone give me a suggestion. I have not found 5830 specific USB drivers for example (nor do I know if they even exist). Any help is appreciated!
Regards,
Roel
SOLVED...sort of...
I used a workaround. I used a Windows 7 computer and there it worked perfect.

[Q] USB Device Not Recognised

This is getting frustrating now, no matter what I do I get this message: "USB Device Not Recognised"
Here is what I have tried:
Connect on android
Connect as MTP
Different USB cable (5 to be precise)
DIfferent USB port
WebOS recovery
Reinstall Novacom Drivers
Restart PC
Restart Touchpad
I have no idea what else I can try, no matter what I do, this annoying message persists!
Platform? ROM?
What's the ROM you are using? Also, which platform is your PC on? Linux/Windows/Mac?
In case you are on some 5.1.x ROM, I would recommend a nandroid backup and flashing a known 4.4.4 ROM which might tell you if it's your hardware or just Android. If you were on a stable ROM earlier where USB was working, then I would recommend trying that. :fingers-crossed:
Similar Issue.
My TP actually works (sort of) via MTP but it frequently disconnects when transferring files and freezes my explorer window. I tried to use Mass Storage on PAC KitKat FINAL and windows reports that it can't find a driver for it and when I try to reboot into recovery it only mounts a tiny SD Card partition of some 800mb. This probably won't be answered but whatever. I've been trying to solve this issue the past 8 hours. I have nothing to lose.

hi, had some trouble with my win7 PC detecting touchpad (using JC's 4.4 Cm11), although ADB was installed - I couldn't see it as a storage drive despite the driver installing. touchpad was connected via MTP.
what worked for me was on windows - go to Device Installation Settings (drivers) and choose never install from windows update. Then under device manager -> android device -> uninstall. reconnect and it should work properly. hope that helps

Can't Use USB File Transfer - Android Driver indicates failure

Hi - For a long time, my OP3T worked fine when I would connect the USB to do file transfers.
However, for a few weeks now, USB File Transfer stopped working. on my home PC. I know that there must be some issue with my PC because USB File Transfer works fine with my Win10 work PC.
PTP transfer seems to work OK on the Home PC. When I look at the Other Devices >> Android in Win10 Device Manager, there is a exclamation point indicating a driver failure. I have tried installing/reinstalling the official OnePlus USB drivers, but no luck.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
¿GJ?
Try this:

If that's no help try the Google USB Drivers:

[HELP!!!] Mi8 not detected by Windows 10 on USB

Hi.
I have a Mi8 (China version), bootloader unlocked officially, clean-flashed xiaomi.eu 9.5.30.
When I connect the phone to the laptop (Windows 10 64bits) the laptop does not react at all. The phone charges, but the device manager does not show anything.
I've tried:
- ROM clean flash: Same result. In fact the issue started before I clean-flashed the 9.5.30.
- Several cables, including the original: Same with all of them.
- Several USB ports in the laptop: Same result with all of them.
- Other devices in the same laptop (USB keys, drives, mouses...): The USB ports are working.
- Rebooting.
- Changing the default USB connection mode in the Developer options.
- Booting recovery mode: no reaction.
- Booting fastboot: here is the only reaction which is an error 43 (Device failed enumeration) in Windows Device Manager. I tryed to uninstal the drivers, update them and a couple of other tricks in the registry. Nothing worked.
- Reinstalling the Mi software (unlocker, Mi manager application...), the adb drivers, etc...
Any idea?
i have the same problema you solved ?
Nope
