Anyway to use any of phone apps during use? - Samsung Gear VR

When will more apps and features come out for this version?
I wish i was able to use this headset for more stuff like chating, notes, phone calls...
Is there any way this will be possible anyone knows?

Not possible now. Oculus would have to make that happen or a developer high on speed

Possible? : call record -> voicemail app

On every single smartphone I got I was hoping this kind of application would pop up.
Is it possible, on Android, to record incoming calls?
Then it would be possible to make a voicemail application that would be usefull.
I'd remove the provider-voicemail feature, and let my phone handle the pickup-calls.
This way it is possible to view, save, store or, maybe most important, delete any voicemailmessages in a application on your phone. You could export them to your pc, mail them to yourself etc, since they are all stored on the phone.
Would be a killer app and, for business users, I think a dev can really make some nice money on it
Why not just use Google Voice. Seems alot easier to me, less processors any storage intensive and accomplishes just about everything you're looking for.
EDIT: Just saw you're in the Netherlands. Sorry.
Yep.
I don't think it is going to get here. Besides, GSM-calls will be around for some time, and businesswise I'd like to keep my current number.
Is it technically possible ? Look, in the end we will all be VOIP-ing. And even when going on voip based calls, the user interface and the biggest part of the program would still be usable, only the grabbing of the files would be easier
There has been threads about this already. Please use search.

Call recorder for wp8 ?

Is it possible to find such a program for wp8 ? This is the only thing i miss at this OS . I use Ativ S interop unlocked
It's not *supposed* to be possible. However, I'm sure that with capability-unlock we could create an alternative to the built-in dialer app that would also record calls. This would be a ton of work, though.

Tizen Root Access Implications

What do you think the implications of root access on tizen will be? do you think that we will see an application compatibility layer to run android apps on the tizen gg1? or a way for people to return to android? perhaps a custom recovery or whatever. those are the things im hoping to see. what are you hoping to see? and what do you expect? developer input would be great.

Right now the only thing I miss is the removal of the video recording limit and I know that some very talented people are already working on it.
The more I think of it, I wonder why Samsung would cripple this product so badly right out of the box? I mean, with limited storage, I understand the need for a recording limit....but 15 seconds???

When you consider the primary use case scenario it makes sense when you consider the length of time it takes to synchronise the recorded video to your mobile device. 15s is a reasonable duration of video for the amount of time it takes to upload to the phone in terms of "take video, wait for it to sync, watch video on your phone / upload to facebook etc".
i have google now on my null gear, google translate conversation mode, all of that good ****. i like the android apps, even if i had to sideload to tizen i think the android apps are a must, so an app compatibility layer would be nice. i know it already exists.

S Note/Google Keep/note apps for the Gear Neo/Tizen??

Hi, I am thinking about taking the plunge and getting a Gear Neo. Besides notifications and the ability to actually making/receiving phone calls (and the IR blaster is also very nice..), the other killer features for me would be:
- a good S Note/note app, the ideal would be to be able to run Google Keep on it... Is it possible? What is there for the Gear Neo/Tizen smartwatches?
- being able to read documents (*.DOC or *.RTF or even *.TXT files would be OK). Is this possible?
Ideally, I would have Dropbox on my smartwatch and could open my docs from there but I realize that I may be asking too much... LOL
So, anyway, what can you do in these 2 areas on a Gear Neo?? All of the other features are very much talked about everywhere and are clear to me but few seem to care about these 2 use cases...
TIA

Things the Razer phone 2 can't do, can you help?

I've had the Razer phone 2 for about a week and I'm realizing that there are things that the phone can't do.
For example, I can't do video calls using the regular phone app, there's no AR support (Google's arcore) won't download, some apps won't install because the phone is not compatible, for example Adobe premiere clip.
I like the phone, but I didn't see anything anywhere where it said that this phone wouldn't be compatible with some apps or features that it should support.
Please let me know if there is a way to get this things to work on it.
Thank you.
1. You ca use video calls with the dialer using Google Duo but that's it since it's Googles own dialer.
2. AR core support is down to Google, they need to "whitelist" devices in order to use it. Not sure if Razer have asked for this but I can pass it on that it's been asked about.
3. Adobe is a strange one, according the the play store it's not compatible with any Android devices I own so Adobe must have put restrictions on it for some devices unfortunately
You could try side loading Adobe if you can find the apk somewhere

Can the RGB be customized, for notifications? I remember reading that it could be, that you could pick a color for different apps, but I don't see a way to do it. Can it be done?

I think it was implied that the colour would be different per app, but not that it was user customisable. I haven't found a way to customise it, but I think it's far from impossible since it's just software. They seem to listen to social media so maybe suggest it? Heck it may be possible to control the LEDs outside the Chroma app. Hmm...
