Hi! Running Xposed v79 + Xposed Installer 3.0 alpha 4 w/ one module (Swype Row) on my OnePlus One (CM12.1 | Android 5.11 | rooted with SuperSU v2.46).
I installed the framework (via TWRP 2.8.6.0) and installer with no issues; the framework shows as installed. Then, I added the "Swype Row" module and rebooted. When I rebooted, Xposed said it didn't get root permissions. But, I didn't see a SuperSU prompt or I might've missed it. SuperSU shows it was "denied", but that must've been one quick prompt.
How can I get Xposed to ask for root access again so I can approve it?

Where exactly do I tap? The screenshot above shows that blank log when I tap "Xposed Installer - #"

Make sure re-authenticate it checked, reinstall Xposed app and then run it, see if you get the prompt

OK, it worked! But, I actually just unchecked my module and rebooted from the Xposed app. Then, out of nowhere, the prompt came! Thank you, thank you!
Very helpful, thanks.

You had the same problem tonight? haha, what luck. Glad it worked for you, too.

I rooted and installed Xposed and App Settings with the intention of changing the DPI of the Calendar app to get the nice tablet layout instead of the phone layout. I enabled Xposed, rebooted, downloaded and installed App Settings, and I made the changes to the app. But it doesn't do anything--the app looks exactly like it did.
Suggestions?

Are you doing a reboot or a SOFT reboot? If your on the 1.0 root it does not stick until after boot. Thus the need of doing a soft reboot for the settings to take.
If your on pwnmymoto root I can't help

Well, I'm using the latest PwnMyMoto, so obviously, my mileage may vary.
I installed Xposed Framework and rebooted (right "Reboot" button, not soft reboot). Then I installed App Settings and changed the "DPI" and "Screen (dp)" settings and tapped the Save icon. I then opened Xposed again and did a Soft reboot. I waited a short while for things to settle, then launched the Calendar app, and there was no change. i tried several DPI and Screen (dp) combinations, but nothing changes. Bummer.

You did go into Xposed Framework after installing App Settings and activated it under the modules tab before rebooting, right?

Hello got meself one of these fantastic value for money phones and unlocked it to my network next thing I wanted to do is root it and then install xposed framework and then xposed app settings and gravity box.
After I installed xposed framework and tried to install xposed/update framework into the system I was greeted with the message in the pic, I have never got this message with xposed before. What does it mean and what do I have to do, or what am I doing wrong? thanks.

You have installed the Xposed_Installer.apk for KitKat. Use the correct one for Lollipop (Xposed_Installer_3.0_alpha4.apk) from here.
By the way, you should check this thread about general information for Xposed for Lollipop. Read carefully at least the first two posts, if you haven't figured out yet that you need to flash the framework via custom recovery on Lollipop devices.

Check post #2 of the official Xposed for Lollipop thread. There you'll find a flow chart you can use to identify the correct Xposed framework version for your device.

Thanks - I already took the plunge last night and used xposed-v74-sdk21-arm.zip - it seems to have done the trick, working now. I wouldnt have been able to understand that flow chart anyway , but thanks for your help
Magisk Hide doesn't seem to be working when it comes to my automobile's app, Uconnect. I'm rooted and now the Uconnect app states that I'm using an unsupported device. It worked before rooting.View attachment magisk_log_20181022_153305.log

THIS great module might help :fingers-crossed:
Destiple, can you confirm whether MagiskHide Props Config, which kamilmirza referred you to, worked?
Alternately, did you find another solution to get Uconnect working?
If you haven't already you're probably better off testing the brand new MagiskHide (rewritten from scratch) in the Canary builds (currently at build 18110).

That's very good to know. I'm nervous about running a Canary build on my normal phone, but I'll see if I can find a spare to test it on.
Will the new MagiskHide be on the next Magisk update, or is it several versions away from being in the stable build?
Try using the "Hide Magisk Manager" option in the settings. I was having the same problem, but after doing that and restarting I can use the Uconnect app again.

Good to know! I tried it - hiding the manager by itself wasn't enough. But once I added Uconnect to the apps being hidden, *then* the app finally loaded.
Of course, upon trying to log in, the app immediately crashes. Would that have anything to do with it being added to the MagiskHide list?
I tried opening the Mastercard Pay with Rewards app, even with Magisk Hide, and it detected root.
In logcat I can see the following :
08-05 10:14:19.881 E/RootBeer(9758): b: a() [239] - com.topjohnwu.magisk ROOT management app detected!
So it seems that the app is using the RootBeer library which determines that the presence of the Magisk app is evidence enough of root. Is there anything I can do to avoid this? Could Magisk Hide be improved so the app can't tell Magisk itself is installed?
Have you looked in the Manager settings? There's an option to hide the Manager right there...
Download this script: https://github.com/Ingan121/UDSBypass/raw/master/bootudsbypass.sh
Put it in /data/adb/service.d
Give it permissions like:
0755
And uds detection is bypassed. Make sure you hide the rootbeer app in magisk hide and magisk manager is with a random name too. Here is a screenshot of how rootbeer won't detect root:

Just want to point out that it's safer to use the official Canary builds (that also pass all Rootbeer checks), since the unofficial snapshots are built from code that's possibly not ready for release.

Comdirect photoTAN app detecting root
Since version 8.3.0 additional measures to detect root have been added, do not update as MagiskHide won't be able to prevent detection. Until a solution is found I would recommend staying on the previous version for as long as possible. Finding...
