[Q] Same firmware for all regions?

I want to (force) update my P7 and then root it. I see I can download the B609 firmware but I don't know if it's for my region (Northern Europe). I'd rather not turn my phone chinese or french
Is B609 for all regions?

I downloaded from here h t t p ://w w w .huaweiblog.de/huawei_firmware_downloads/ascend-p7-downloads/ and I use the dutch version. There are many languages from which you can choose.

How do you choose language/region? Can you do it after you flash it?

After the flashing your phone reboots en starts the initial setup. From there on you wil be promted to choose A language.

BTW: Flash B621 using Stock recovery.

I'm curious to know about this newer version. It says about a Russian vendor, but it is L10, so this should work well on any L10?

Yes it should work well on L10. But if facebook bug isn't solved no need to update.

There's no eu in cust folder If your vendor is 432 do not install that ROM you shall change your vendor
So for fully working ROM you shall be in vendor 433 (meaf) or 408 ( naf ) or any of the vendors uses that cust in photo

You should flash vendor pacage on B623, if you are on B830, you should downgrade to B623 then install vendor and OTA

I Test it & yes works fine & Facebook video also works great

You should flash vendor pacage on B623, if you are on B830, you should downgrade to B623 via B800 then install vendor and OTA B832
or, the first link in OP will show you the way to flash

I was on B623,updated the vendor package, but when I wanted to apply the OTA it failed...

put the zip file and don't extract it

downgrade from b852 to b158

hi everyone
i upgrade my phone from b158 to b839 and then update it to b852
how can i retrieve to b158?? i download the b158 full update pakage , copy it to dload and try force upgrade but it dosent work!
i dont want to root my phone

hey,
you need to to a middlestep by flashing a transition pack (b800)..
after flashing this through local update you are able to flash a older firmware (like b609/621)..
to go down to b158 you have to flash again a transition pack (b603) through local update and then the b158..
you can find all information on this forum - by using the search..

I tried this too, but Update from B852 to B800 failed at 95% and it says, Huawei CUST-FAIL, post-update-fail.
Any suggestions?

it works for me!
first i downgrade to b800 then b603 and at last b158

For me its working too, now.
I tried to downgrade with B839 - failed
I tried to downgrade with B830 - failed
I tried with B621 and it worked, installing CUST_FIX for B621.
Then again updated to B839 and B852, now everything is fine here

Im get b852 my phone try used transition pack 800 but failed help

there may have been a damage to your rom. I downloaded b852 from somewhere else installed it installed the rollback again and it worked. Actually I saw many changes after installing b852 again e.g. motion control worked properly or I had the swype keyboard. maybe they did some updates to the rom. be successful!

2- make folder on sd card named ( dload )

phone must have 50% charge
the files and apps will not Erase
u must have next ota like b160 , 170 and nougat when huawei release it normaly

I've been using it since this post was created and my battery has never been worse even after factory reset.... I'm trying to get back on 130 firmware I can't find it online!

Hum, mine is better since that day, I think we have to calibrate the battery. But still, I think it was better before.
I found this link for an update, but it doesn't say wich version it is, I'm still waiting for the answer

Hi I tried the program and downloaded and extracted the needed official rom but I keep getting error that I can't downgrade ? ? any help?

Problem with updating my huawei p9 lite vns-l31
hi, my problem is i have updated my Huawei p9 lite single sim version to nougat. Before updating i have unlocked, it rooted it, and unlocked the second sim - so I made it dual SIM. After update to nougat my camera did not work at all. I followed a lot of tutorials and tried to fix it but finally I erased everything, (the operating system and all) and wanted tot install all fresh new again. I is ok only the update.zip to download - because it did not work at all. Should I install or copy something on the internal memory before or there is something that I am doing wrong?
( when i wanted to install my phone was checking md5 file skipped md5 check - no md5 file found. update package from zip failed. update process ended with error)
