To be fair, this phone just released last week and is not as popular as flagship models. It may take awhile for cases to be made for them. I bought one for my father and I am glad to hear they come with one.

The Blu Vivo XL is the same phone as the Gionee Elife S Plus. If you don't like the included case, Amazon has one listing for a hard shell case in four different colors.

I'm actually thinking of buying it, but I am waiting for some experiences from other people, since I've had button issues with their cases in the past (Neo Hybrid for the Galaxy S3 and Slim Armor for the Nexus 5). That's also what I thought, but I read somewhere else that some orders are already being shipped. And the black one is in stock on Amazon UK.
There is no cutout for the power button judging from the pictures. Might affect IR blaster.

I was not thinking on buying a case but this looks beyond sexy. The non-functioning IR blaster may be a deal breaker though. I use my M8 as my control literally every day. Hmmmmm.
I can't figure out why they keep making cases that block the IR blaster. The hybrid bumper case is good looking too, but has the same issue.
Style-wise Spigen is on point, but silly to pay $20 for something that removes functionality.

I had one on my galaxy s4 and really liked it. I've messed around with quite a few cases and that one is definitely my favorite. I was also looking at the Incipio Dualpro, not sure if that fixes the IR Blaster problem.
Mine is on its way as well, I'll look into ways to modify it to keep the IR blaster. I don't really use the feature at school but I like to show my friends the feature. Will update on the case when I get it
My mom has the same type of case for her iphone and its sexy. definitely my favorite case especially for this phone because it mimics the design of the phone

Unfortunately the UPS tracking number that was provided in my Amazon account does not even resemble a normal UPS tracking number so I am unable to tell when it will arrive. However when it does, I will be sure to come back and give it a run down.
EDIT: It looks like this was shipped straight from the manufacturing facility in Korea to Spigen in California...then to me. Hence the reason the UPS tracking did not show up via conventional UPS.com tracking.
For anyone who per-ordered and has a UPS Tracking # that does not show up via ups.com. It will show up if you go to UPS Mail Innovations.
First impressions of case: Fits phone very well, feels great in the hand...the only negative I see is the lack of an IR window. But other than that...it's a keeper.

Same here, guessing they are shipping it from wherever it's made in China. I'm refusing it either way, no IR and sounds like it's more bulky than I want.
Anyone received their Note 4s yet. I'm in the UK just wondering first impressions, and has anyone been able to get a hold of cases/screen protectors. Some of the more highly recommended ones I can't seem to get a hold of in the UK yet...

To answer your question - I've had mine for a week, but not from any official UK shop (grey import). I was surprised that our local "cheap and cheerful" mobile phone accessory shop actually had screen protectors and flip cases (screen protector was a pretty decent quality, nice glide under my fingers) but the flip case is very basic (I'm expecting one from ebay that doubles as a stand).
Ebay and amazon have plenty on offer, but the good ones (Spigen etc?) look a bit thin on the ground, or aren't available for a few weeks. I've ordered an iBlason case and a couple of leather flip cases and a tempered glass cover. We'll see what they're like when they arrive.
I bookmarked this page last night, it says they are either in stock or expecting delivery today.

I know this has been a debate for years and years. Do I go with this, but I heard that and what if....

I have a film protector on my note 10.1 2014 and one on my note 8, they've been on there for so long I have no idea which ones I purchased. I recently picked one up for my tab S2 and it's juuuuunk! fingerprints galore. Getting on with this, I bought for the first time tempered glass for my phone and loved it. I don't believe tempered will take away from the amoled screen of the S2 but if I were to pick up a stylus (currently reading great reviews about the The Friendly Swede precision disc) will it take away accuracy? I believe the fingerprint issue is drastically decreased as well.
I'm all ears to experiences and opinions.
Sorry, don't have an answer but do you mind sharing which tempered one you got? I've never gotten a tempered glass one before but everyone who has gotten one seems to say they will never go back to PET film. There are hardly any screen protectors out there at all it seems...maybe it's still too early. I'm getting my tablet today and want to get a screen protector on this soon.
I'm using a glass screen protector for my S2 8.0, and as said, once you use one, there is no returning back to a PET film, glass protector for the S2 is rather limited at the moment, as the market is still small, I have searched through thousands of shops in china for a glass protector for the S2 8.0, and found many, but what is on offer is not what I want, all the protectors sold are flat edged, and 2.5D curved edged are very hard to find, although I did managed to find one shop and purchased 3 pieces.
Glass protectors from china are cheap and as most people will say, they are totally crap, I paid approximate USD 3.15 each for them, they do provide the basic protection from scratches and most protection against damaging the main screen, and that's what matter. For better quality one's, consider going to Gmarket a Korean base site owned by Ebay has some Korean made one's, but rather expensive and they do ship oversea.
At the OP's I'm sorry as I can't quote you on about the stylus, as I don't use them, but I sure it's better than the PET films and it does not affect my touch screen.
I've narrowed my choices down to two. The first one is from Skinomi. I originally purchased one for the the tab 8.4 and when I decided to go with the S2 I simply returned it and they were awesome via amazon. I am kicking myself that I never actually opened it to inspect the glass. I've read that some do have a curved edge and some don't. Here's the link to that one:

I purchased the Skinomi and was pleased with how quickly I installed it. I have no bubbles or particles and it is pretty much flush with the bezel. The button is now slightly recessed below it, but that will happen with all of the glass protectors. I *think* it's rounded because the edges around the button are so smooth. Clarity is excellent and the device is no less responsive. At this point I recommend it.

Screen protectors are superfluous and mar the whole experience. Sony recognized that - while the Z series had screen protectors by default, they fortunately removed them in the Z2 series.
It's simple: When you want to transport the device, put a cover/case on it (the Samsung one is fine).
Otherwise use it naked as intended by nature.

hardened glass covers don't reduce screen sensitivity or otherwise mar the "original" experience. Plastic ones do, but not the glass ones.

I bought the Omoton screen protector. The installation kit was the best but it is a fingerprint magnet.
Waiting for a Pen and will see if that does the trick.
I've personally never had one that wasn't a fingerprint magnet. I've got a million microfiber clothes, so they're all over the house and work.I just while it down every day.

I would like to create a thread to reference available Nexus 5X sleeves.
Why I prefer sleeves over cases? Well, when I buy a phone I consider it because of its design. And the very problem I encounter with the case is that it changes the design of the phone.
I like holding the phone in my hand but at the same time I also like to protect it. Hence the sleeve.
It gives the phone full protection and at the same time I am able to "feel" the phone when I use it.
However I don't see a lot of sleeves available for the Nexus 5X. I saw some on Etsy but nothing very exiting.
Who is looking for similar sleeve? Any ideas?
Not sure where you are based, but the german company fitbag do some EXCELLENT sleeves for pretty much every phone. Available on Amazon (.com and co.uk) and direct from fitbag.
Had one for an Galaxy Nexus (brought pretty much at release) and it was still going strong a couple of months ago when the phone was sold. Quick run through the washing machine and it was as good as new.
Picked up their 5x version and it's equally as good.
Great quality and value for the price... Highly recommended!

Be careful with a slip case and a naked phone. I bought one for my Ice Blue 5X and suffered noticeable wear on the back corners and sides of the device, so much so that, after an argument with Carphone Warehouse, I exchanged it.
I like a vertical leather pouch with a belt clip. Currently using one from PDAir, but I bought it a few years ago for my Galaxy Nexus - it just barely accomodated the Nexus 5, and it's just no good for the Nexus 5x. So...
Looking at a new PDAir pouch, it looks like maybe the one for the Sony Xperia Z3 would be the right size.

Interesting comments. I remember buying a fitbag for my moto x 2014. Unfortunately due to the curvature of the moto x the phone wasn't fitting nicely enough. I'll try the sleeve for the nexus 5X just to see how it fit although it's not the right size.
The cases on etsy are a little bit too common I feel. I hope we'll see some nicely build sleeve from well-known manufacturers soon

ZTE has a case themselves but its $25. Can try to get one 3d printed lol
When I registered my phone (about 3 weeks ago), I got a coupon which was good for 50% off accessories. It doesn't list the case for this phone as an applicable accessory, but it works. I am not a fan of the ZTE case. It is well built and offers good protection, but a little too thick for my taste. It is a nice stopgap until other cases come to market.
On eBay I see a few cases but they come from China and take a month to arrive
I was able to get the official ZTE case for $6.50 with their half off coupon. Its a nice case, but just way too thick and adds more weight to an already heavy phone. I picked up a couple cheap cases on aliexpress, though they dont wrap around the phone completely and will damage the phone if dropped on the edge. Anyone find a good thin case that fits well?
