Xperia Z3 Volume - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone wanted to ask why it is not possible at Sony when lock screen (ie when the unit is dark) and listening to music, why you always have to loud and soft make each stage separately and can not press and hold the button zusammen.ich times ? However, if the screen is unlocked, it goes with holding down! The Samsung Galaxy devices and in almost all other Android phones going on a locked dark screen! Does anyone know if or rather where in the system you can edit the I stop on a locked can keep dark screen loud or quiet down and push not always einzelnd muss.Wäre really grateful if you help yourselves to me könntet.Es comes when I have the Z3 in your pocket and go listen to music I have every each stage individually but press something like specifically, in the unlocked screen hold easily funktioniert.Mein Z3 is rooted, but I do not even begin where I find the system könnte.Vielen you apologize in advance to euch.Liebe Greetings

Because when the lock screen is dark, the unit can be in pocket, in purse. When press and hold is enabled the volume can go too high too fast. That's why. I think it is good.
By the way, when you do Google Translate, you have to be sure that your German is perfectly written. Also, Google Translate is bad at translating language constructions.

No backlight in hard buttons on the front when receiving calls

Any solution for that ?
not sure what you mean? a half press of the camera button turns the lights on
I think he means when a call comes in, the buttons on the face of the phone don't light up... I have been wondering about this too - it's not great when trying to answer a call in the car at night.
I have noticed that as well. Of course, I can touch the screen to answer, but it would be nice to see the red and green call buttons lit up as they did on my Wizard.

This is is my problem.
Happens with the Vario III too!
At present I do not own a TyTN II, but soon that will change (most likely)...but i just want to verify something.
The front buttons; call send, end, ok/softkey, start/sofkey, (and to a lesser extent the directional pad) do not light up at all, or only when a call is coming in?
They are backlit (well, not the directional pad), they are just saying the backlight is not automatically triggered on an imcoming call.
So what is the solutions for this?
How to keep buttons backlit when call is incoming?
Is it possible to keep these buttons backlit as long as the screen is backlighted (would be easier to navigate while you are in car in the dark)
Thanks,
Piotr
I searched registry without result.
Thanks for replay, but is it really true that it can't be changed??!!
pleasy anyone, help!
Help me too
This evening I was walking to my car which was parked on an unlit parking lot. The backlight not coming up automatically is really annoying Any help would be appreciated.
I got used to it. Now I can just press the buttons without looking the phone since there's no solution to it yet.
I found out that solution is pressing the camera button half way down (which is very easy to find and to press) turns on the backlight of all other hardware keys on the front of the device. really helpful.
greetings
Now that i read this thread, i just realized i was feeling for the buttons to answer a call while i was driving cos it was dark & i still am not familiar with the buttons....it's only been a week since i got the TyTN II Would love to see a tweak for this if there is
I found out that solution is pressing the camera button half way down

That's not a solution. That's finding another button, to turn on the backlight to find another button
Anyway. I'm afraid I have to get used to it. But it's these little things which annoy me more and more. How come interface designers don't think of this?
Has anyone found a solution to this, it's really annoying, I was woken up by a call last night and was fumbling around trying to find the answer key in the dark . My old Artemis used to light up the buttons along with the screen on an incoming call.

Lock screen while talking ?

Hello guys,
I need to have my phone locked while talking coz my ear touching the screen launches unexpected apps.
please help.
Thats strange as when you put the phone near your ear/head when making a call the screen goes off which stops you from pressing any buttons accidentally. Although i usually press the middle button to turn the screen back on but even if i got the phone pressed against my ear and shoulder...ive never ever started any un-necessary apps.
Maybe get your ears fixed by the doctor.

what you want is default in 99% of the phones.... there are a lot and i mean a lot of posts here asking for the contrary: keep the screen off !
somebody finally discovered that all the registry tweaks are not working because this is triggered by the light (or motion' or both) sensor (keep yr phone face up when ringing and the screen does not go off).
you must be the only soul that is complaining that his screen is not going off
anyway try a search and you'll find lots of info. try also the pinned tweaks thread.

any way to enable key press when the display is off

I used to do things when the display is off with my old PDA phone but I found that my new Diamond tried to change my way of life, it will disable all key function when the screen is off except the keys of vol and up and down key. Does anyone know how to enable all key press when the screen is off? Many thanks
So what exactly would you do with your device when the screen is turned off for which you'd like the hardware buttons to work? I would imagine the only thing would be to control the volume slider etc which is already active. It kinda defeats the purpose of turning the screen off then don't you think?
Start/Settings/System tab/Key lock (or something like that).
There you can enable keys.

I used to use my ASUS PDA phone as a book reader in the way that I read a book with my ears using text-to-speech software while I am walking or riding. surely when I don't need to read the screen, the screen can be turned off to save power. In addition, I used the hardware keys to go backward or forward one sentence to control the reading speed. The point is this diamond seems to be unable to response key function with the screen staying off. Letting user to customize the device is the reason I choose WM over other devices like iphone, but HTC seems to break this way.

[Q] Known WP8 issues or hw defect? (ATIV S Neo)

Hi all. Got my first ATIV S Neo with Sprint a couple weeks ago, had graphical corruptions, and random reboots, replaced it for another.
This one works much better, but there are some issues I'm seeing (nitpicking?) and I'm not sure if I have another defective handset or if this is just WP8, or if this is common to just this handset. Came from an HTC arrive on WP7.5 and things were pretty stable.
1) Occasional live tile animation stuttering; If I, for instance, go into the messages hub, sometimes the live tile swing animation will lock for half a second and then immediately pop into the message hub. Happens loading other apps too.
2) Occasional lock screen weirdness;
2a) very rare; press power button, screen comes on, screen fades out like the phone lost power but not to backlight, then backlight shuts off, pressing the power button again, everything works fine.
2b) occasional; in a dark room, press the power button to wake to lock screen, press again to turn off. screen/backlight goes out, backlight comes back, then goes out, then quickly comes back and back out.
3) in IE, typing in the address bar, text input freezes as it brings up suggestions from bing. (type "google.com" and get "gole.com"). disabling search suggestions makes it go away.
4) Text notifications stop working; sometimes the text notification sound stops playing (vibrate remains working). Reboot corrects it. Have also had it where the vibrate alert goes away and not the sound.
Anyone else seeing these? Are these known or is this phone also messed up?
Haven't seen those on my (open-market GSM) ATIV S, but there were a handful of glitches when I first got the phone. Those were corrected in the first big fiormware update from Samsung in my case, but I had to wait a few months for it.

Thanks, that makes me feel a little more comfortable. These problems really don't feel like hardware to me, since they're fairly infrequent. I might have to stop by the sprint store and test the display model out a little.
???

[Q] Problem with screen sensitivity, too low.

Hello guys, First of all I'd like to thank this amazing comunity, I had a lot of help here when I had my Xperia Play, I squeezed tons of potential out of that phone thanks to this website.
I'm just joining now, since for the first time I can't really find an answer to my problem by just searching; A friend just got a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, Telcel carrier from Mexico, the problem is, we've noticed the screen sensitivity on the lower part of the screen seems off, it sort of takes a second tap to actually activate at all, I.E. When pressing the App Drawer icon, if the screen was off, we would have to press it twice for it to actually press, same goes with anything on that lower area of the screen after a little period of inactivity, like opening the keyboard, etc. Once the screen receives this 2nd "tap" so to speak, it acts "normal" as in it will react to a single tap in any area.
Is this normal on this phone? Or is it a cause for concern? There has been no modifications done, no rooting, no custom ROM.
I hope I'm explaining myself correctly, since english is not my native language. I apologize in advance if I'm not being clear enough, looking forward for any advice from you all.
Thanks.
