I have a ATIV SE which i did at one point have it running windows 10 after i got working in win 8.1 with it being interop unlocked but i had an issue where it would not get SMS on optus in AU.
So i have flash it back to 8.0 and upgrade and try to get it interop unlocked but nothing seems to work.
I have used Custom FPD V3 to get to some of the registry but that wont even load now.

I have the kaiser (htc 8925) 6.1 upgrade and was going to flash my phone with it. I am afraid however it will relock it.. Is this a possibility? Is going from 6.0 to 6.1 even worth it? I also have some special communication settings configured so it will work with TMOBILE, would I lose those as well??
Thanks!

1.) No, once unlocked always unlocked
2.) No, unless it is a 6.1 custom rom
3.) Probably if you don't upgrade with a T-mobile rom or back up your settings, but I would write them all down anyway just in case so I could put them back manually.
I bought an unlocked AT&T tilt with WM6 and flashed WM6.1 and it remained unlocked.
So don't worry.
I saw some threads about updating our phones through Zune and that the NEW MARCH Nodo update won't relock our phones? I'm confused because i asked the same question on Windows 7 General thread and people said it does...can't someone please clear this up for me please
Mine re locked after nodo and won't unlock again cos i can't install the certificate to wp7 to allow chevron to do its stuff. seems ms have banned the installation of .certs
If you've unlocked your phone by some sort of software/modification then your phone will become locked but if a code was used then it won't be relocked. I have a T-Mobile HD7 on WIND in Canada and I've installed the NoDo update and it works fine still.

I've been trying to gain root access/interop unlock on my 1020 for a few weeks now, but I've had little success. I can sideload basic apps, just nothing to give me that sweet interop back. Anyone have any working methods for non-SD devices? I know a handful no longer work, and I can't really go back to W10M, stability was absolute garbage.
Side note, if you're using W10M, you'll love how smooth everything runs in WP8.1!

I'm using 8.1 GDR2 in my 1020. I unlock bootloader and root access AFTER last update and voila! made all registry and root changes manually... using Wininternals 1.2...
No need for interop unlock tool...

I did this way back, I just hate restoring to stock. If there's no easy way I'll revert though.

@Fernandz, can you please tell me how?
Using WPInternals, after the GDR2 update I can unlock the bootloader, but root access fails with "Failed to enable Root Access on EFIESP! Check the OS version on the phone and verify the compatibility-list in the "Getting started" section. I have GDR2 aka 8.1 Update 2, or more precisely 8.10.15137.148
Hello,
One of my friends recently found a old Nokia Lumia 635 T-Mobile Carrier locked phone. OS version is 8.10.12400.899. We are unable to login to microsoft account and also unable to update to latest 8.1 or to windows 10. Can anybody suggest how to use this ?
