[Q] Help!!! aka "is my phone bricked?"

So i plugged in my Milestone to my PC and ran the Motorola Software Update, in hopes that 2.2 will get flashed.
Everything went smoothly until the update stopped and my phone was stuck with "SW Update In progress... " on the screen. The Motorola program on my PC had disappeared.
I waited for a bit but nothing happened to my phone, so I took out the battery and rebooted it. Then it booted into the bootloader and said shows "Err:A5,69,4E,00,3D".
Tried to boot into Recovery (i rooted my phone with openrecovery a few months back) but same, won't load recovery, won't boot Android either. Same error message.
Then I tried to flash the vulnerable SBF again, RSDLite shows all ok but I still can't enter into Recovery mode. Then I tried to flash the whole SBF instead of just the vulnerable recovery, and RSDlite stopped at 19% with this error:

Did Google search on this, found nothing useful, I don't know what is the problem. Have tried UK, HK and SG firmware but nothing works. Did my phone just become a brick? Now the IMEI and other details doesn't even show up on RSDLite anymore...
My system is Windows 7 32-bit, using RSDLite 4.9, latest drivers (4.8.0). Here is the full RSDLite log:

What about the bootloader mode (aka fastboot mode)?
Does that work? Does a "fastboot devices" work at that point?
If fastboot sees your devices, you could flash from there.
Fastboot gives you the option to flash an update.zip, a specific partition or all partitions...

ADB recognizes phone when it is at animation screen in windows - "adb reboot recovery" reboots phone but not into recovery - same for "adb reboot bootloader"

[Q] Motorola Milestone Custom Roms? Locked Bootloader? Howto?

Well, hello guys i bought a Motorola Milestone from a friend yesterday.
And I'm that annoying kid that will probably step on your lawn again and again, but i apologize in advance for my stupid questions that will probably come after this.
But i have been at it for about 6-7 hours googling bouncing around to you youtube.
I was up halfway through the night yesterday to find a way to flash my phone with Cyna cyanogenmod.com
And through tutorials wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Motorola_Droid:_Full_Update_Guide
When i get to step:
9. Once it is selected, hit Start and wait for it to finish flashing the device.

I get this error through searching someone said it was a bug place the *.sbf file in C:\, My documents i tried that same error.
I tried different versions of RSD lite i tried patching the pst_flash.ini file.
After i got shutdown here i tried to push a recovery image through my computer using recovery.img.

adb flash_image bla bla bla
i get the error access denied.
Is there any ****ing way to give my telephone a custom rom or change my default Androd bootloader recovery for rom managers?
After a while i found this, i tho to myself was the bootloader locked the whole ****ing time?

The Droid and Milestone are very similar, but have important differences. The Milestone has a locked bootloader, while the Droid doesn't. When it comes to rooting the Milestone and installing a custom ROM, steer clear of instructions for the Droid. It'll get you nowhere.

[Q] Is this a hard brick? (TMO ver)

Got a G Flex that was rooted, messed with the display density and got stuck in a blank screen with glowing green LED after a visible LG logo....at that time USB Debugging was enabled, but carelessness led to a factory reset when i adb reboot into recovery. Erased. Rebooted. No Screen and NOW no USB Debugging with no way to enable it. I got the phone replaced and its just been sitting, but when my new device got its 4.4 update I snagged the KDZ and other files.
I've tried to use the Offline Fix v2 in the brick post, all 3 methods, but when the software starts to flash via the support tool i get this Log from the program (mind you this is with the phone "booting" into android with no screen and glowing led...that never shuts off)

In device manager I have LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port (COM 11) & LGE AndroidNet USB Modem #2. A side note, when I flashed the working G Flex with its update via the LG Support Tool legit with no mods it flashed on COM 11 and that displayed on the screen as it updated. With this other device though, its a no go.
When I reboot the device to Download Mode and try and use the Offline Fix methods it errors out but not before i see what appears to be a message saying the BIN Version of the device is ATT-310-260 something of that nature ---which leads to me believe that in some point in all the flashing of sh*t ive done to try and revive this phone, something got crossed up in an LG Flashtool experiment and I've got conflicting information going on inside the device....
I've got an Pixel running Ubuntu, with Virtual Machines for XP, 7 and 8....I'd love to just tear it down and format all the partitions in a Linux term but Im not getting the bulk driver in any OS it still shows as all LG drivers, in Ubuntu its as an LG Electronics device under lsusb -- but does not register at all in ADB. Just blank.
I give. I thought the KK KDZ would be a fix all but I've hit a wall again. Sell it, keep it for parts, or is there a chance at a revival? Clearly, the LG force is not strong with me.

You can to recovery yours using my method. The different is mine is ATT and yours is T-Mobile.

You will need to extract the DZ file from your T-Mobile KDZ file and use it as TOT + the attached DLL.

Did as instructed, extracted the DZ from the KDZ, as well as the DLL, installed Flashtool & Megalock.dll, COM ports changed to 41, when I hit the yellow forward arrow I get a box that says "Waiting" then a follow up error box that says FailedPreviousLoad

I just checked other threads also. It seems like a few others run into the same error as yours. Right now, what I can think of is to convert the DZ file to TOT, but I couldn't find the converter. Sorry, I couldn't help.

Yes I got the phone replaced, when 4.4 rolled out for the flex I updated and snatched the kdz. New one works fine, old one is still not working and still on 4.2, no attempt to flash software is working, neither 4.2 or 4.4

[Q] Lg Optimus 2x from Gingerbread to ICS

Hello,
I tried various methods to upgrade to ICS.
* Over-the-air <-- no update found
* LG support tool: I am stuck at download stage for hours. I can download GB of data in several mins. The log file shows error that I googled
with no luck of help:
* SmartFlash throws an error immediately about failure to connect to port. I tried several usb cables, same thing. I restarted the PC also. I cannot POST outside links.

Need help in getting ICS on the Optimus 2x, please.

Solved it this way.
Do not use Windows 8 PC to flash.
Also, do this. Start SmartFlash and try to flash usual way, it will fail with timeout error.
Do not close the smartflash utility, just repeat the process but before clicking 'Start' insert back your phone's battery. Weird, but will work like a charm.
After battery is in, then start flashing.

I have the same issue yesterday and for me it was a wrong entry in SoC/VID. The entry after installing MFT and copy the custom_config.ini was 8086 and that was wrong, it must be 8087. When you not sure, that this is right for you, look in Windows device manager under hardware id of the Android device.

Thx a lot i think i have already change the value but not the good value (i don't remember)
I have resolved my problem, i have reinstall all the drivers and programs for flashing and reFlash android all is ok !!!!:laugh:
