As you all Optimus 2X owners can see there is two "speaker" holes with a net under the phone on each side of the Micro USB. Is these both holes suppose to be for speakers, or is one of them (the left one) just for mic?
I have sound only on the right one, and has been thinking about this for a while now...
I am not the only one with this right?
One is speaker, the other is the mic.

phew.. my speaker is not out of function then thanks for fast reply.
I was reading the manual too, but that didnt say where the speaker is...
This was one of the first things I noticed on the phone when I bought it... you would think that there should be dual speakers stereo sound on a dual core phone
Yeah, kind of bad it isn't stereo on such a high-end phone... But then again, the iphone 4 is constructed the exact same way and that's the most expensive phone there is. My old N900 had 2 speakers, one on either side, it did enhance movie watching somewhat, but mostly I just use headset anyway so doesn't really matter.
Hello everyone.
Curious if anyone else has had this issue. I recently bought a decent pair of headphones, Sony MDR7506. I have had zero issues with the cheap in ear stuff and using my aux cord in my car. Even my bluetooth streaming to my htc a200 works great. However with these headphones I get a small amount of random crackle here and there. I initially chalked it up to a bad pair of headphones but for the heck of it I tried them on my PC , Ipad 3, and nexus 7 and they sound absolutely amazing on each of those devices. I tried it on my wife's htc one as well and the same thing. The odd thing was I had crackle in the left ear on her phone and on the right ear on mine.
I'm not exactly sure whats up at this point. Judging by searching it doesn't seem like anyone really has had this issue or at least haven't documented it.
Not that it probably matters but I am on Viper 2.1.0 and the wife is on viper 1.2.1. Anyone have any idea?
Thanks
Hello all-
Loving this phone for the most part, but when I listen though the headphone jack a very faint buzzing can be heard behind the audio. This is not a problem when listening to music, but it's annoying with podcasts.
Anyone else have this problem?

Hopefully others can reply. I listen to tons of audio and podcasts and curious if this is an isolated issue or not.
Mine is silent. I listen with a variety of earphones but even with my Shure se530s which are ultra sensitive, the output is silent. Some people were complaining about grounding issues, where just rubbing your finger on the back of the phone would cause static in the earphone. After swapping out the device the problem went away. If it's really that noticeable I would suggest a warranty exchange.

Did you have issues with buzzing before swapping out the device?

Not me personally, I've not had any issues with mine. I'm referring to other cases that were reported on forums. I know someone on xda had an issue and I'm pretty sure the other guy I'm thinking of was on android central. There were also a few people that reported the same problem within those particular threads. It certainly doesn't seem to be a widespread issue but considering that you have buzzing when other people don't, I'd play it safe and just exchange it.
check your audio settings in the "fake" eq. depending how I have them set I get static. when it is turned off or flat there is no static.
Hi, everybody. I'm really interested in this phone but it has been difficult to find if this phone have stereo speakers or not. I hope you guys can tell me..
I wonder if the new moto x have it too and apparently it doesn't.
To me as a customer, I thought that both phone should have a stereo speakers. But apparently not.
Can you clear this out please?
Thanks.
Paulo.
The Moto G 2014 has stereo speakers.
I'm using the auxiliary input into my MINI stereo and getting a lot of static with two different N6s. No issues with N4, N5, International GSIII and TMobile GSIII.
It's specific only to my N6s.
Any ideas on how to fix? I've tried two different aux cables. I'm guessing it's some kind of grounding issue.
I noticed the same thing in my BMW.
There is some pretty loud static, which cuts in and out if music is playing. When paused, it's steady static.
I'm experiencing the same.
Same issue here in my car. I previously owned a Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 and can confirm that the issue was not present on those phones.
Although, they had their own issue of not being loud enough. The Nexus 6 puts out a lot of power.
I'm having the same issue, driving a mini as well. I was considering a new cable but that seems to not be the problem. The static is pretty annoying, to say the least. I'm considering getting a Bluetooth to aux adapter. Has anybody had any success with this issue?

No luck.
I did see that there are supposed to be audio fixes in Android 5.1, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I thought that buying an expensive Nexus would have solved all of the quality issues we had in previous, lower cost Nexus phones. Now I feel like I've kinda been ripped off.
