For god's sake, whatever you do, don't buy:
Flytouch 3 superpad 2 (or any of its clones).
The support forum is filled with problems with the clones, too many to list.
The Ibex Flytouch 3 originals have very poor batteries, supposed to be 8000 mAh (2 x 4000), and are more like 2 x 1800. Most people are having troubles getting them to accept a charge at all.
Their internal GPS is locked to China, SOME people have managed to unlock them by spending a couple of hours deleting caches, rebooting, trying to re-fix the satellites, repeat until working or give up. MOST people still have not managed to unlock the GPS from China.
Market ONLY shows the free apps (something to do with fake sim numbers being too fake and illegitimate). When you are sent to market from an email, website, or even the tablets OWN auto update service, it won't show the app you are looking for.
They MAY appear to be cheap value-for-money Android tablet alternatives; trust me, they ARE NOT. Save up more money and get a proper named brand tablet.
Update:
My Flytouch 3 is no more, at about 4 days old the charging battery exploded, melting the FT3 and scorching the computer desk.
I urge anyone thinking of buying one of the Ibex Flytouch 3's, or its clones (Superpad 2 or 3) - DON'T!

People are always trying to find ways of getting a similar item for cheaper prices - I know, I did!.
Oh it's you Fluffbutt, I saw your whole song and dance on apad.tv the other day, not surprized they banned you. First you mess around with your battery config, then god only knows what else you did and then you blow up your tablet. Then claim it blew up on your desk.
Baring in mind no evidence what so ever anything really happened. Then you claimed that you burried your tablet under a load of used kitty litter, so couldn't show anyone the pictures to prove it, not surprized no one believes you. Shame on you.

i own this and for what i use it for its actually not bad updates are often and like all android devices its getting better with each one!
mind you my phone is faster ha
I got banned from there because they didn't want anyone warned of the faulty batteries, they're the most fanatic people over their FT3's.
So you assume I did a whole lot of things and it's my fault it exploded. You can assume anything.
"mess around with your battery config," - ChinaGrabber tell you to go to that forum for help, and do what's posted there. Now I'M to blame for doing just that?
It got buried under kitty litter because the fumes from burnt lithium batteries are toxic.
Shame on me?? you make assumptions!

*Mod Edit* let's keep it clean and keep the name calling to a minimum.
Alright, everybody chill out. No name callings.
@Fluffbutt: Pics, or GTFO. Seriously.
@PassingExpert: A one hit wonder from you? While I can't agree with either of you, I'd cut down on the name calling, because you aren't going to make many friends with that.

What makes you think I feel any need to prove this to anyone here?
It happened. Whether you believe it or not is irrelevant to it happening and irrelevant to me..
my 32gb iBex Flytouch3 works perfectly. Would recommend iBex Flytouch3 (real FT3) to my friends.
I bought flytouch3 from taobao.com. It cost almost 250 USD.
It may be the most expensive one in taobao, but it works good.
It can standby at least 6 hrs, and the GPS works in Taiwan.
Market can show all apps including the charged apps.
I just bought one yesterday from chinagrabber, shame on me? From what I've gathered the information this is the best and most supported chinese tablet there is..
Yes another classic example of somebody not doing their homework before buying something and then blindly attacking it with a soldering iron and hacksaw.
I'm more than satisfied with mine, it's not the fastest piece of kit, but for €150 it's certainly worth the money if you have a good working knowledge of Android and now how to fix a few quirks.
If you read around the forums, there is support for all of them. I have yet to have found an issue that couldn't be remidied in one way shape or form. I bought mine for $150 US shipped. I'm no knocking Ibex. Just merely stating that their pad isn't the only option. Open minded-ness is what I'm getting at. I've heard a lot of bad things about ChinaGrabber's return policy's etc., and that left a bad taste in my mouth. I wanted an inexpensive pad with some support on the US side (I.e warranty issues). I know I could have purchased something else, but this was what I wanted.
Sent from a rooted SuperPAD clone with Android 2.2
I've now been playing with my FT3 couple of days and I'm very happy with it, with Tim5a rom everything works, Market (it shows paid apps if I buy them from my Android cellphone). GPS works well out of the box, it's fast, Youtube, Flash all working. Battery life is very good, I don't keep it on standby as it does eat the battery even without wifi off. If you've ever used a Android phone this feels like home and the performance is the same. Resistive screen just gets a little bit more to get used to compared to capacitive but it's really responsive. Videos play very nicely, only tried 720p but all worked without a single lag.
Hey this thread scared me at start but then it looks like it ended up very good.
cuz i'm waiting for mine to arrive and i wonder is there any complete guide how to speed it up and ect..?
Thanks in advance

Don't.
Market ONLY shows the free apps not to mention all the other problems (something to do with fake sim numbers being too fake and illegitimate). For YOUR OWN sake don't buy this piece. Really if you want an ANDROID tablet then save your money and buy a legitimate Android Tablet from a well known manufacturer. It's the WORST money I've ever spent in my life. PLEASE don't waste your time. And if you do and are satisfied with a cheap poor generic excuse for an android spending hours upon end of your life downloading and installing firmware, then more power to you, have fun. I just wish I would have saved my money than to have given it to scam artists or try to get help from those who need to help sale more CRAPWARE by saying its all volunteer. Really really real. (Now watch how I get called names and treated like dirt for posting this on a thread that is titled: Warning not to buy Flytouch 3 or clones.) It's crazy how easy it is to get caught up by weirdos at crappad tv who act like they are helping the world or something not following any of there own rules. Please DON'T be fooled by the posts that follow this saying how good it is. Believe me, it is not. Save a little more money even if its just 100 or 200 more. Get a LEGITIMATE ANDROID TABLET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi. i have had my eyes on this tab S 8.4 LTE since it was announced. i have been saving a lot so as to get this tablet.
the day i got all the money for this tablet saved, i went to the Samsung store and bought the device right. hell, i even paid extra for the Bronze color one.
i felt blessed and happy. after like half an hour of using the tablet, i found the stutter and lag to be all over the UI. it was not deal breaker but definitely was Heart breaker. for a premium one of a kind, Samsung Flagship tablet, i didnt expect that. i have owned Note 3 and both have EXACTLY the same hardware other than the screen.
but i got over that and accepted that as part of deal from samsung cause after all it had Touchwiz. i personally love touchwiz. i really do.
after like a week of usage, i started to feel like the battery on this tab is giving up on me. i tried every thing there was to try. i rooted it, removed the bloatware, installed greenify, swapped roms, minimized brightness and all i was advised by good folks here on this very good community of xda.
then i was told that many people here found the solution by re-sitting the battery connector on the mother board. and i tried that. i removed the back cover, with all the pain and cringing, and REALLY found the plug to be very loose. looked like some child had it just PLACED it on its place. it was not even all the way down. i did that, and boom, i got the battery back to normal, i un-noticed all the scars and scratches there were because of removing the back cover.
after like 4 or 5 days same **** started happening. battery would fail after like 3 hours of screen time and that also doing nothing just plain UI browsing, because my tab was in the period of showing it to friends and relatives. u know the usual stuff. people asking u to let them see your new tab. every body praised and loved the SUPER AMOLED!
after like some time, it literally gave up on me. it would not boot, it would power on. it would charge and that also very weirdly, when i plug it it sometimes said, 50% battery, then at the next second i remove the charger and re-connect it and it would show, 89% battery. the next second i would remove and re-connect the charger and it would say 4% battery.
i could not do anything. so i went to samsung OFFICIALL sales & repair centre and I LITERALLY MADE THAT STUPID ***** WRITE DOWN ON THE JOB SHEET TO NOT LOSE THE IR BLASTER COVER THINGY. they gave me 15 days of time for to repair it and asked for Rs 5000 which is equivalent to US $ 55 approx. i was like, ok if u fix it all well i can pay that. and FYI, the TABLET WAS IN FREAKING WARRANTY! IT WAS ONLY 20 DAYS OLD!
you get where im going? well i called them 15th day and they didnt pick my phone. i tried for next 2 days and they didnt pick any call. i went to their office and asked them what happened of the tablet. they said sorry we could not fix it and we were told this by our ENGINEERS the second day. i was like why didnt u tell me that before why make me wait 15 days and they said our phone was dead... MOTHER****ERS!
i asked them to return my tablet, they charged me Rs 1000 approx US $10 BEFORE returning me the tablet.
when they returned me the tablet, it had that IR blaster cover lost. i was so angry i cant explain. i could not do anything against them i went there 3 times and waited for like 30 min each time JUST TO SEE THE MANAGER AND HE NEVER MET... i wish they all die in deepest pits of hell for eternity. amin.
anyways, firstly i didnt trust the local small repair shops but i had no choice i gave the tab to one of shops and he repaird it for me in like 1 day. i was really happy. but he charged me Rs 3000 about US $30.
i started using the tab and it was fine. i got the normal 6-7 hours of screen on time. and btw, he didnt replace any thing including the batter.
since this saturday, the same **** started happening AGAIN. i went to the same shop and gave him the tablet to repair. just today he called me and told me the expense for this time repair would be Rs 5500 approx US $55.
NOW, this is my experience with samsung's greatest tablet ever. i have learnt my lesson the hard way i guess. Spending US $40 or $60 might not be a big deal for some of you Europeans or Americans out there but im from Pakistan. im a student. i dont get money very often to repair my ****. and that also a mere 28 days old BRAND NEW OUT OF THE ****ING BOX TABLET.
i know, i might get hate here as well, cause not many these days, understand others problems.
but i would advise you all new comers NOT TO GET THIS TABLET EVEN IF U ARE GETTING IT VIA SALE. i paid the full price and even more cause of import fees and taxes.
and btw, its not just me, there are many people who didnt get the battery life they were told they would get.
you have been warned.
Why didn't you get a replacement by warranty? Didn't get that.

HAHA... replacement? there is no such thing as replacement here mate! they only talk to the customers until they pay them and thats it. after that they dont have any time for you. as i have already said, they were not even ready to return me my device which they had ****ed up by losing the IR blaster cover. they said first i need to pay then they will return my tab. its been one of the ****ed up experiences of my life.
and to top things off, no one is there to complain. no executives, no senior person, no managers NOTHING! only sales girls with fake smiles and little cleavages. u see, women here, especially women who work in such sales department, like all over the world are used very wrongly. and in our country you can not even look at a woman with anger, let alone talk to them about the **** they did wrong to my tablet.
its very very saddening situation here man, very very saddening! people who have resources get everything and students like myself or people who have not much relations are the victims. i know if i were in any other country i could have sued their asses off. but here NO.
and its the device its self thats the problem. u see if samsung cuts its product lines even 25%, and works more on QC and software, things like thing would never happen.
all the hype around S6 and i bet you, it will all be the same. I bet you it will still lag, it will have almost the same issues as previous phones. yes there will be changes, but merely cosmetic!
Reality bites

Unfortunately, most of the stores in some countries are only third party/franchisee, so they don't offer the same wonderful customer service you may be accustomed to. They don't readily provide brand new unit replacements, heck, we usually even have to fight for parts replacement and settle at that (better than nothing, I guess).
From where I'm from, we're usually told, "we will have to have our technician take a look at it. Please come back after 5-7 business days." When we come back, they tell us that they were unable to elicit the problem, and if we want, they can have it sent to their main branch (in a different city) to take a look at it. Of course, they still end up telling you that there's nothing wrong with it and charge you anyway.

Thank you for this post. I actually considered getting the Tab S2 when it comes out. Your post reminded me of my past experience with a Galaxy Tab 8.9 and an S3 (tablet had a defective motherboard and I could only get the parts replaced, no new unit) and my Galaxy S3 wouldn't connect to a WiFi network unless I literally stood right next to the router (this one I actually did manage to get a replacement unit, but the trouble I had to go through..ugh).
Anyway, I'm so sorry for the trouble you had to go through.
Sorry but just because you had an bad experience it doesn't mean that others should be scared off. I bought my tab 's 8.4 on sale and I use it at least 4-5 hours per day without any lag at all and with around 35% battery left every day. I think you could just have said that you had a bad experience instead of telling everybody in bolded text that they shouldn't get it.
Except I have WiFi version. So if this is a common problem on the late version then I have nothing to say.

I agree - I have the 10.5 and yes it suffers from slight lag but theres ways around that (Nova/debloating etc).
My note 4 is the boss and not issues at all now i'm on 5.0.1. You can't really slat a manufacturer entirely if the country you reside in doesn't have the support required - you took that risk on.
As for the technical problems you are having, I guess taking apart a device that was under a month old kind of invalidates any warranty - if you didn't have one I suspect all you've done is cause problems for the engineers. Did you contact the sellers/retailer? Have you contacted samsung to see who they'd recommend/are there others that may be able to sort it out?
However if you cannot get Samsung repair service in your area, why didn't you consider a make that can be supported locally?
I imported a gear VR from the US to UK and if it went wrong I'd wholly expect Samsung not to honour the warranty....sometimes we take risks and it doesn't work out!
Well no doubt you had a nightmare experience and sorry that you didn't have my experience. For me I couldn't be happier and have zero regrets with my purchase. Other then the lag problem which was fixed by debloating and switching to nova launcher I really really really love my tab s and so glad I didn't get the iPad mini like I was planning.
Now I eagerly await the lollipop update.
Sucks that you can't get proper service. Sorry to hear that but a lot of us can get proper service so I don't think its right for you to tell people to stay away. If someone gets unlucky here where I am they can easily return it and get a new one. For me I was first disappointed by the battery life but have quickly realized maybe I was spoiled by the 10+ hours my ipad 3 got. I don't experience any lag and have mostly good things to say about the device. I do wish the battery would go a bit longer. My only complaint comes with the power button. After only a few weeks its not looking good. Its going to go at some point. It already looks like its pushed in.
I have a 10 as well, and I have had zero issues with it. I have read some other complaint threads, but I haven't had any issues at all with mine. Sucks to hear others have issues, but this is the finest tablet I have ever owned.

both of you are very right at your position. i might have also said the same things if i saw some thread like this and i had no trouble with my tablet.
but the thing is, samsung has Proper sales and service business here in my country. u would not even believe that some of the products are not even launched in some big countries but they are made available here. Note 4 was launched here 2 days before its international launch! same case with some other big tabs and smartphones.
removing the back cover does not void ANY kind of warranty. i snapped it back and no body could tell if i ever removed it. i dont have the tab with me, but when i will i will try to show you guys what the OFFICIAL samsung ENGINEERS did to it. i opened the back with a debit card and nails and they have proper equipment, i guess, but they ruined it for me. and how come they lose some part of the tab when i CLEARLY TOLD THEM & EVEN ROTE IT TO THEM NOT TO LOSE IT because its too small thing to lose.
any how, all of you guys who have no trouble with your tabs, great for you. i feel good for you. i would have called it my bad luck if it was my first experience with samsung device. i have had sasmsung devices for a very long time including even some of the house hold electronics. mobile division of samsung sucks balls in terms of QC.i remember having S2 having dead speaker after 2 months, S3 having strange glue marks on the AMOLED screen, S4 having heat up issues and now this.
@ Pills_e and i didn't write text in bold or what ever to seek attention. why didnt you write such a thread? because you didnt have a problem right? i just tried to warn people. i have said it already and would say it again, im a student. i dont have a full time job. its Very hard for me to spend US $40 or $60 after 10 days just like that on repairing a gadget that is not even available to me. it might be easy for you, but not for all.
i just advised based on my experience and its just sincere brotherly advise to all new comers. people will get what they like, no matter what. i just poured in my experience. thats it.

I'm so sorry for you. I hate that you've been through all of this stuff regarding samsung devices. I wonder if the tabs going to Pakistan are made in a different factory than United States ones? I hope you have better luck in the future.
Sent from my Galaxy Tab S 8.4 with much love to the xda community.
I have the 10.5 and am on a stock rom and have zero lag anywhere. Initially there was lag with the OS it was released with (I bought it release day) but subsequent updates removed all the lag I had. I love my Tab S and I get 11hrs watching videos on it on long flights and drives and the screen is amazing.
What you should have done was try to return the tablet for a replacement INSTEAD of opening the back. Opening the back voided your warranty and is not something I EVER do for ANY device I own that's within warranty period. Outside of the period I may take the chance but not a day before.
Sorry to hear this happened to you as I know how frustrating these kinds of things can be.
I'm Surprised!
I'm surprised that Samsung would even touch your Tab S 8.4! After you rooted it, changed the ROM and then opened the device up which a user is never supposed to do, I'm surprised your warranty is worth the paper it was written on.
You should have taken the Tab S back to whomever you bought it and got your money back.
Hmmmm... was just about to order a tab S 8.4 WiFi as well... Lol.
i have 10.5 LTE and the battery stand only 3.5 Hours after few month of purchase its stand around 6 hours before
i have already make root so i got KNOX flag 01
but i will pay 50$ if this will fix the problem but after i read your story im afraid to fix it and the problem come again .. i don't know what to do
:crying:
Hey guys,
Totally depressed over here. So I save and save and save and BOOM, Im the proud owner of a Nexus 6. I hit up Swappa because Ive had good dealings with solid dudes there in the past. I got my phone on Friday after work. It was described on Swappa as Mint, and on the exterior it was just that Mint I turned it on with SIM in and ready to fall in love. What I got was a device that everytime the screen times out, or you are done for a minute and hit the power button, if it sits idle for more than 5-10 min its basically dead to the world, google voice, manual hitting the power button, plugging in the charger, NOTHING....The only way, and I mean the ONLY way I can get it to turn back on is to hold the power button for like 20 or 30 seconds and then it turns on. I tried to contact the dude I got it from about it and he just said I am full of S**t and it worked perfect when he sent it to me. He said basically screw you. Took a LOT of hard a** work to save up to get this phone man and It looks like Im hit. Do any of you guys have any clues or a godsent solution to this hell? I need yalls help. Im totally at a loss for why this is happening.

You definitely need to contact swappa and let them know. That should be your first step.

They won't do anything unfortunately. His better option is to go through PayPal.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Free mobile app
Go through PayPal and Swappa. And leave a negative review on him. Make sure you keep records of all interactions with him as proof.

Or, you could try flashing the stock firmware. But it will be tedious with the phone acting like that. I'd personally want my money back.
Swappa believe it or not told me, work it out with him. I qued them in on every message I sent him and they just replied well sorry you couldnt work it out. I am actually surprised that as buyer seller protected they shout about over there all they really do is make sure the esn isnt smashed. they dont help resolve issues like this at all. His ad clearly stated no returns unless not as advertised. he advertised mint, so any of you here know exactly what that means. He told me to take a video of the phone actually doing it, and in the next sentence said it was working perfect when he shipped it. Wheres his video to prove that? Even Swappa lets a guy go down in flames huh? This Item is not as described if it locks up. Its not "Functions Flawlessly" as they advertised. sorry this isnt the place for this. It took me a long time to come up with the money he just stole from me
That really sucks man, sorry to hear about your problem. try going into bootloader and like said flashing stock firmware, hopefully that'll fix it.
Mint means perfect. Flash stock, if the same problem exists, its faulty and not mint.
When I sold my first nexus 6, the initial install was all wacky. I assumed it was from using custom Roms and android m on the phone. Flashed a few more times and factory reset and it was good as new.
Same thing happen with note 4 and lg g3 before shipping.

As previously advised, open a PayPal case. "Device Significantly Not As Described". You will get your money back. PayPal nearly always sides with the buyer.
Doing a lot of research, I had heard of people who had glass screen savers that screwed up their proximity sensor. This phone does have one, but I am in a situation where I can't really take it off because let's say it doesn't fix the issue and I do get granted a refund, then I'm screwed because I have to return it the same way I got it.

I don't believe PayPal would deny your claim for removing the screen protector, in an effort to try to solve the problem. IMHO.
Sounds software related. Download and install factory sysimage, then factory wipe, and see how that goes.
Flash another rom or factory most likely should work
hi
Start it in bootloader then select QCOM test that. for me it has been the solution to all errors.

Well i had a proximity issue when i had my screen replaced but flashed back to android version 5.0.1 and the issue is totally gone. Try reverting back to 5.0.1
Thanks everyone for being so helpful. Yesterday I had been hoping and praying for the best. And the screen completely went dark with wierd lines and dots and finally just doesn't come on at all no matter what I do. It's gone. No bringing it back now. Totally bummed. PayPal said they will open a case and it's gonna be like 10 days before anything else happens cause this bum wouldn't refund my money. You guys are really awesome for jumpin out there to help me so much. I'm poor as heck so what sucks is it took me 2 months of saving every penny just to get scammed. Now all I have is my work phone and I'll probably get in trouble for using it for this. Lol life is crappy sometimes. Peace community
eMMC failure... That douche did scam you and he did it hard. Hope you get it sorted.
There is no way this slime ball didnt know what was up with that phone. Too bad too. I just hope I get my money back
Dang I'm sorry this happened to you man, that really sucks from reading this. I hope Paypal sorts everything out for you and you get your money back.

What is eMMC? I don't think I've heard of that. If I cant get my money back I wonder how much it would cost to repair. I'm probably screwed there too. I bet it's more to fix than to buy a different phone. Too bad honesty is like the tooth fairy these days, because I don't think I'll ever buy another used phone and I know there's good ones out there. By the time I save up enough to do that again Nexus 6 will be 100 bucks
I recently bought a used Note 8, the previous owner sold it as "failed motherboard, for parts". Its a N9500 Hong Kong version with Snapdragon chipset with this CSC: N9500ZHS4CRK1_N9500ZZH4CRK1_TGY
The phone turns on but boot-loops. Sometimes it gets into Android and when it does all SYSTEM apps "keep closing" such as Play Store, Google, Camera, Settings, everything, I can't even remember all their names. All apps keep closing. After massive app closure, the phone enters boot-loop again.
So obviously, I entered recovery mode, wiped cache, wiped factory data, there are no accounts on this phone and it is NOT FRP locked. After wiped, the phone behaves exactly the same and it took a lot of bootloops to get through the welcome configuration screen, next next bootloop, next next skip next bootloop and so on.
I then opened up the phone (which was never opened before) because I suspected a faulty battery, I wasted more money on purchasing a new battery, I replaced the battery but it behaves exactly the same.
I then reflashed the same N9500ZHS4CRK1_N9500ZZH4CRK1_TGY soft in ODIN which was downloaded from sammobile.com and guess what, it behaves the same.
I reflashed a newer version N9500ZHS4CRL1_N9500ZZH4CRL1_TGY in ODIN but again it behaves the same.
Now in recovery mode I just recently noticed this:
#fail top open recovery_cause(No such file or directory)#
#Reboot Recovery_Cause is [UNKNOWN]#
No Support SINGLE-SKU
File-Based OTA
Support API: 3
dm-verity verification failed...
After researching what this error means I discovered that it may have something to do with phone rooting!? Now since this phone wasn't mine I have no idea what the previous owner did to it so I entered download mode again to see the status of KNOX and guess what, it says:
RPMB fuse blown
RPMB PROVISIONED
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
FRP LOCK: OFF
CROM SERVICE: ON
WARRANTY VOID: 0x0
QUALCOMM SECUREboot: ENABLE
RP SWREV: B4(2,1,1,1,1) K1 S1
SECURE DOWNLOAD: ENABLE
DID: 205EE0EE92FD
So WARRANTY VOID: 0x0 as far as I know means that everything is official? I don't know if you can actually root the phone without triggering Knox which should then read 0x1
I also find this RPMB fuse blown suspicious which I have no idea what it means.
So can anyone help me??? Is my problem just software? What can I do??? Or is the motherboard simply dead and gone and requires replacement? Motherboards for Note 8 are extremely expensive so I hope the motherboard isn't dead.......
All the best
As far as i understand, ur problem should be software only.... Try flashing twrp in download mode and then root and then custom ROM....all this if the phone is out of warranty. And i hope oem unlock is toggled.... Knox 0x0 means not rooted previously.....try it out and share what happened

Is there no other way? I would prefer not to root my phone and install custom ROM, I would prefer to have an official ROM... also if it has everything stock, official, why is it doing this? Why is it bootlooping? Anyway if there is no other way then please provide me with a perfectly functional custom ROM which I should install. I need to mention that my phone is DUOS (DUAL SIM) if that matters. The phone doesn't have any warranty, like I said I bought it used, second hand. Additionally its from Hong Kong while Im from Europe and the previous owner told me that Samsung told him that they won't fix his phone because its from another region... BS if you ask me but whatever! Additionally to make things worse, like I said I disassembled it to replace its battery so definitely no warranty here.
I will return and keep you updated, no worries. Thank you very much for your help!
Best way to find out is to flash the firmware specific to ur device.... Try the pie firmware.... And make sure its specific to ur device.... Maybe try a diff csc.... Also flash bootloader separately and then try to boot...i had the same problem once with an older device... That helped... Make sure u know what u e doing before going for anything.... But since that device is already dead...u can try...no harm... Keep it charged...

This is the exact model I have: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-note8/SM-N9500/TGY/
Please give me a link to what I should install. Different CSC, bootloader, anything you think I should install. I don't wanna make a mistake and brick it even more than this... Thanks
RPMB fuse blown is normal. That's how they all come from factory.

I have read your post and have no solution. My guess is your flash memory is bad, and you can't fix that.
Your best bet is to probably buy a working Note 9 with a broken screen for cheap. Swap motherboards. The back glass should have the IMEI on it, so keep the right back glass with the right motherboard.
Put both phones back together. Keep the working one, and sell the other one for parts.

Jesus Christ Samsung is becoming the worst brand in the world. First exploding Note 7 then Note 8 with flash memory fails. I think I this is my last Samsung EVER. My next phone will definitely be Nokia 9. I didn't had the chance to test Nokia out since they relaunched with Android and they seem like really well built phones.
Anyway until then, soyuz4u seems to have a solution for me so I will like to try out what he is proposing before giving up.

EVERY company has some faulty devices. It's electronics. They fail. My guess is the failure rate of the flash memory (if that's what it actually is), is minute. Just because YOUR decide failed doesn't mean Samsung as a whole is a bad company or make bad devices. You bought a device that you knew was out of warranty and had previous problems without knowing the history of it. To be blunt, that's your fault, not Samsung's.
Honestly, they handled the Note 7 issue as well as could be expected. They did everything they could to fix it and then finally issue refunds and incentives to owners.
But I'm sure Nokia has NEVER had a warranty claim on any device they've sold ever, so it may be a good switch for you.
Exactly. Plus OP bought a device being sold as "for parts" only, so it doesn't make sense to complain about Samsung as a whole
Guys guys this is going off the rails and totally off-topic! Anyone is entitled to their opinions, its freedom of speech, I perfectly understand this and respect your opinions just as you guys love Samsung, I have a few words of criticism for it but now please no more off-topic messages.
As a response to what you guys are saying,
1 - Why don't you come with an actual solution to the problem instead of talking about how great Samsung is? Why do you have to reply to my bottom message where I criticized Samsung but not to the first message where I ask for a solution?
and 2 - Does any of you own shares at Samsung? I've never been a brand fanboy, why would I defend a multi-trillion foreign corporation?? What would I have to gain out of it? Im not Korean, it doesn't benefit my economy, if anything it harms my economy, as they suck billions of euros out of my country. yearly You guys are too forgiving and forgetting about the people who actually got injured by Note 7. You forgot about the infamous Note 4 and Note Edge "mmc_read fail" mass failures which also happened with S6 and S6 Edge. Millions of customers got scammed by Samsung back then. Samsung even got fined 5 million Euros in Italy because of Note 4 mass fails. There are even class action law-suits regarding Note 4.
It doesn't matter I got this Note 8 used, as is. What about the previous owner? Does it make it ok to fail in his hands? Why fail in the first place? Why would a top 1000 Euro phone become "for parts" in the first place in only a year after production?? What if I bought it new and failed in my hands?? The logic you are applying here makes no sense. I can understand this for a 100-150 Euro phone but not 1000 Euro! 1000 Euros are a lot of money, with 1000 Euros you can buy a decent car, a Renault Megane 2006-2007 for example which will last you many many years so spending 1000 Euros on a phone to fail after just 1 year is ok? Anyway please please no more off-topic. All I said is that I don't think I like Samsung anymore and you fanboys came at me like lions defending Samsung which is a thing I can't stand. I don't hate Samsung, if I did, I wouldn't have bought this Note 8 but Im not a fanboy and I will never be a fanboy for any corporation in this world, unless I just work for them and its my job.
Now please lets get back on topic, does anyone know how to fix this phone?

Wow. Ok, for one YOU started the off-topic conversation. Two, I'm not a brand fanboy or a share holder, nor was I defending Samaung. I have owned just about every single brand of smartphone made. I was explaining you were the one who bought a "for parts only" device then complained that it doesn't work and is out of warranty. Those are the risks you took buying it. For all you know, it wasn't a manufacturer defect, but physical damage from the previous owner. Third, I did offer a solution. Buy a working Note 8 with a broken screen and swap motherboards, then sell the other one for parts. I've done it many times on other phones.
Good luck!

I didn't start anything, all I said is that I do not like Samsung anymore and its my business what I like and don't like and I don't want anyone to convince me otherwise. I can't believe a 1000 Euro phone fails irreparably! Of course I didn't pay 1000 but the guy who I got it from did and the principle itself is what pisses me off. What if I would have been in his shoes bought it new paid 1000 then total fail and unable to fix it just after 1 year!? If this was 1 in 1 million cases, ohh ok, tough luck what can I say? But this is actually extremely common with Samsung nowadays. It all started with Note 4. Note 4 was the first major Samsung disaster. Note 3 was a jewel of Samsung, the best Note ever produced. I not once seen a Note 3 with failed board even to this day after years of use, anyway avoiding more off-topic talk, I am aware about replacing the motherboard, I even mentioned it in my first post, even the title of the thread is "hardware or software" fault. This is from the bottom of my first post "So can anyone help me??? Is my problem just software? What can I do??? Or is the motherboard simply dead and gone and requires replacement? Motherboards for Note 8 are extremely expensive so I hope the motherboard isn't dead......."
Also the phone does not have any kind of physical damage whatsoever, it doesn't even have water damage, like I said in my first post, I disassembled the phone to replace its battery and it was sealed, never opened before, clean and no nicks and dents on its frame. Its like brand new.

Let me explain this:
You started a thread asking if your issue was hardware or software. You got some ideas and suggestions from people, including me. That's all ON TOPIC.
Then YOU went off on a tangent about how crappy Samsung was, brought up the Note 7, and talked about getting a Nokia because they look high quality. That's all OFF TOPIC.
You started the off topic conversation, so I replied to it. You don't get to go off topic, give your opinion, then get mad at others for going off topic WITH YOU and say you don't want people to try to change your mind.
Again, you bought a broken phone. We told you what could possibly be wrong with it. Your opinions of Samsung's quality control had nothing to do with it. You're the one who steered the thread off course, not me.
By the way, your last comment was all entirely off topic. This thread isn't about the Note 4 or Note 3 or the cost of the Note 8. Please try to stay on topic from now on. Thank you.

Not worth arguing with some people bro because sometimes no matter what you say, it just doesn't register and they can't accept any other outcome or information except for what they've already settled on in their head..
Now, can I get some help with this phone that was sold for parts only? I swear it must be just a software problem, now you just give me the freaking answer that'll fix this parts only thing!!! J/K hahaha..

Ok its my fault for daring to criticize Samsung! You're acting as if I have something against the seller, no, wrong! VERY WRONG! I know the seller, he's a friend of mine, not a close friend but still a friend. He was awesome and I feel bad for him and what happened to his former phone.
Now let's get back on topic and please kindly ALL of you who have no clue how to deal with this error, LEAVE THE THREAD and stop spamming it with your useless posts! You clearly have no idea how to fix this yet you waste time in this thread... You said you offered help? What help? You clearly have no idea, I already said in my first post that I know how to swap boards but I would prefer to fix this board if possible.
I'm not gonna reply to any more Samsung fanboys regardless of what you have to say. You have an actual software solution to this board? Please kindly share it, otherwise, just go and don't come back. The only one who came up with actual solutions was soyuz4u. Everyone else just time wasters!
Have a nice day.

I don't care that you criticized Samsung. I truly don't. I'm not a fan boy. As soon as someone makes a better phone than the Note 9, I'm on it, no matter the brand.
I'm not blaming you for criticizing Samsung. I'm blaming you for going off topic and then getting triggered when someone replied to YOUR comment. I didn't go off topic. You're the OP, so you set the topic. You took the thread in a new direction, so I followed along, because I thought I was having a conversation with another adult.
And no one is blaming the seller. I actually never said anything about him. I was actually blaming you. You bought a broken phone, for parts, out of warranty. You don't like any of our answers or solutions, and you just want to blame Samsung for you buying a broken phone that you don't know the history of.
Instead of getting mad and offended by everything, take some responsibility.

You are the one gone off-topic. You lost focus on your own issue. And the way you DEMAND for a solution makes you look like a 5 year old child. Behave man. Be a little, just a little more coherent. If you are further past "fanboys" then don't say a word to/about them. If you are so clever, you'd be owning a multi-millionaire company in stead of buying a faulty device.
On the other hand, you should be thankful that at least someone gave you solutions to try out considering your manners.
I've owned multiple Samsung's over the past years, and Apple's devices too, between other brands. Actually I'm rocking a Note 8 since 3 months past launch day, coming from an iPhone X 256gb first hand bought in Spain that 2 months after using it the touchpad stopped working (yes, a $1200 EUR touch device stopped recognizing touches, can happen), never insulted anyone because of that, just my freaking luck. Got it repaired for free btw, but still wanted to own a Note 8.
I upgraded to Pie 2 days ago, I live in Argentina, dunno why it took this long, but nonetheless its an awesome device, never failed me nor stopped surprising me (I found early this morning the 60fps 4k UHD workarround with the awesome "lgcamera" app), and technical service is great here.
I hope you can chill, and be responsible for your own mistakes, without mistreating people who tries to help you. This is a very nice place to spend time learning and asking, let's keep it like this. I also wish you good luck on your quest to make that faulty Note 8 work again, so you can enjoy this great device's features, and if not, I hope you get yourself one that suits you.
Issue solved by Nokia/Hmd together with Mediamarkt Sweden with above and beyond kind of service,
They handled the issue quick and effective without any pressure from social media or newspapers. Kept me up to date with any type of progress in the matter.
And even let me replace the phone with another brands phone due to certain reasons, they also provided for extra accessories to the replacement phone even though it was another brand as well as putting out extra credit at the store of my choice for future purchases.
So my hat comes of for them for the 11 star of 5 stars maximum service

atm the phone is on the way to nokia/hmd main service in EU since they where extremly eager to check it out on what may have gone wrong and they helpedme to get a basic timeline by lots of questions so to see if there was any strange behaviour with the phone prior to the event
and as i understood this was basicaly a first for themwith this kind of event specially since it wasnt plugged in atm of the explosion . so i am waiting on reply from them for reciving and first checkup on the device.

Oh yeah, didn't hear such a thing before. Please keep us updated. I'd like to know more about how they handle the issue and what information they provide about the root cause. Also, I'm glad they intervened and took notice of it without needing a special pressure from social media (which is the case for most brands).
Sent from my Nokia 8.1
Sorry to hear that.
I've never heard of HMD Nokia Android Phone explosion incident before - at least in China, only battery bulging incident on overused Nokia 6.1.
Please keep this topic updated, we want to know their attitude upon this issue.
still no news from nokia/hmd other then they are putting everything under a microscope to try and find anything that might have gone wrong.
So update on this issue.
So far they couldn’t find anything wrong in design of the phone and or battery so it looks like it was just one of them crazy bad luck happening.
They still haven’t completely checked everything as I understood but they felt satisfied to close the matter on mud end and do more testing without me having to wait for all answers.
And the solution on the matter for me as I got. New phone and accessories like SD cards, cases, Custom screen covers, wireless headphones as well as a bunch of extra store credit for future purchases.
However due to demands from girlfriend that the same model of phone was not allowed inside ever again if I wanted to sleep in the same bed/apartment ever again I had to pick another model.
However since they didn’t have any similar phone model.
They came up with the suggestion of me picking from any brand of phone even from their competitors. So now I have bramd of phone and really happy with the solution in the end..
So to all that might be worried about this repeating itself don’t be.
Also even hat it took some time I am extremely happy with the solution in this matter as well as they will update me with any future findings in this matter.
Best service i ever experienced in a cellphone warranty issue.
Nokia/hmd gets 11 out of 10 stars for their handeling of the service around this issue.
what phone do you have now?
good to see them being this nice. But i guess they have to because, well, your phone exploded
I took a samsung A40 instead due to the fact that it was good enough for my current needs but I do miss my Nokia. But as My girlfriend Put in her veto against the Nokia 7plus model I didn’t have much choice.
Nokia’s work in the matter is the best I ever encountered when it comes to Customer service and I feel they took it extremely serious to find a solution on the matter and as I understood it was just a one time happening.
But I am happy with the new phone since it is quick software and takes decent photos, but I am going to miss the Nokia.
