After re-flashing Mireck190's v7 Android and Win10, my dual boot X98 Air 3g (2.0.5 BIOS) has displayed power issues.
First, battery life is forecast at 3.5 hours in either Android or Windows when fully charged, which isn't near the advertised life.
Then it won't boot unless fully charged, but doesn't seem to charge.
I let the battery run down in Android, then charged it overnight. On starting, after multiple attempts, it said battery was at 11%, then 15%. It apparently isn't charging when it is off.
I booted into Windows and let in charge in sleep mode to see if that would work (I let it charge overnight) - this morning it booted several times into Win10 (there were updates) and I booted from Win10 into Android. In both OSs the battery apps showed a full battery with 3.5 hours remaining (Ampre in Android showed 'unknown' while the Android battery meter said 3.5 hours, in Win10 both BatteryBar and the system showed 3.5 hours).
I put it into Android sleep and now it won't boot. As in nothing.
—-UPDATE—-
After several hours I got it to boot back into Android. I held it and held it until it finally booted. In Android it showed 98% charged, even though it had been “charging” and in Win10 (booted from Android) it shows 98% and says 32 minutes to charge.
Is this a BIOS issue?

Ok this has been happening to me for awhile and i just want to know is this is "normal" or there is something wrong:
Lets say that my phone's battery is under %15 so i plug my cell to charge it....right? so now it has been plugged for a couple of hours and it show that is charging but very slow...and i have to wait like 8 hours to fully charge....but if i reboot my phone let say within 2 hours of charging after it reboot it shows that the battery is fully charge....is this normal?
doubt its normal but mine does the same. Charges for hours and hours but wont go past 85% but with a reboot 100% Same as if I charge it for like 30mins then reboot guess what full charge.
I had this problem at one time, it turned out I had the overclocking set to 528 at all times and this was killing the battery, even when charging. If you have this on, try turning it off. After that it was fine for me
This seems strange to me. I can fully charge my phone while powered on and get to 100% full. I then turn off the phone and let it charge turned off and it takes 30+ minutes to get a full charge even though when powered on it was already 100% full.
I did this same procedure a few days ago in an effort to improve battery life and it did help. I just don't understand that after only a few days, the difference in how powered on shows one thing and powered off shows another when it comes to battery level. I would expect that powering off would also show a 100% charge, or at least close and only take a few minutes to match the powered on state.
Does this sound like a software problem with the phone not knowing how to properly read the battery level when powered on? Is this a common Android issue in general? I just came from Windows Mobile and never experienced this.
I got the galaxy note last week monday, it wasnt charging till 100% even when i left it on for hours to charge. Never charged more than 80%
Nope, it's charging up to 100% here.
Do you have your phone rooted?
Any custom roms?
Give us more details so we can actually help you!
If you got this after flashing a custom rom, try charging the phone while it's off (with the battery showing on the screen) till it's full. Leave it on the charger for about 30 more minutes just to be sure it's full. Then go inside ClockWork Recovery (while it's still on the charger) and go to Advanced > Reset Battery Stats. Then Reboot the phone and unplug the charger. Presto: you should be charged to full now and the phone will charge to full every time.
I hope this helped.
I've experienced this once but only the widgets reported the charge % inaccurately ( also got stuck at 80% ) the phone system reported 100%. Rebooted the phone and got 100% on widgets as well.

Well it just stopped at 80%, the system showed the same! I left it charging for 7 hours, it beeped that it was fully charged, but it wasnt!
I think it may be because I played with it for 20 minutes when got it rather than charging it.
I also left it on charge rather than letting the charge drop to 0% and recharging. I duno?
I went to CPW they said they will allow me to swap it. Which is good, as the stylus was coming apart.
Recently, I encountered a serious problem on my phone. When plugged into a wall charger, it won't get past 8% of charge. I even tried switching it off and charged but still it's stuck at 8%. Also, after a few mins, the battery would start draining.
I tried battery calibrator pro , but with no results.
I am running cm12 official.

Have you tried charging it from within recovery? I ran a ROM once that was too power hungry to charge and the phone (m7) occasionally refuses to charge while off (for me).
I changed my battery on my Mi 8 SE 2 days ago and I have been seeing some weird issues when the phone is charging.
The first time I charged it with the new battery it started charging really fast going from 3% to 7% in a few seconds and it charged up to around 40% and stopped, after I unplugged the cable it started draining really fast down to around 30%.
After plugging the cable back in it continued charging and got stuck at 55% no matter what I even turned it on and it showed 70% and wouldn't drop or charge. after a day it finally turned off and I tried charging it again.
This time it had the same issues getting stuck at random %, however it somehow managed to charge up to 100% and I used it normally for about 24h after completely draining it until it shut down.
When I tried charging it again it charged to 81% and got stuck after unplugging the charger it started going down to 60% and got stuck again, when I turned it on it said charged and the battery showed 34% and rebooting it showed 53% and it kept saying charged no matter what.
Has anyone experienced this issue when changing the battery on a phone?
I have been using the original charger the whole time and I have also tried different chargers with the same results. I even tried to unplug and re-plug the battery and it doesn't change anything.
I am using Pixel Experience 11 with the final update and it is not rooted.
