Hi everyone
So just to let you guys know i have also searched the internet for what i am about to ask you.Including this site.I have had many good pages on this website to try and help with my problem. But sadly with no luck,my issue was different.so that when i decided to finally create an account to get some help and hopefully help others too!(which i doubt). So now to my problem.I have a sony xperia Z1 and had rooted it using the king root app and then used the command to replace with super user. All was well and good until i tried to do duel recovery.i feel thats where i mustve messsed up.I am sure my boot loader is locked but the file i used was a version that worked with a locked bootloader.so i installed it via connecting my phone to the usb and use some software to install.Sorry i thing i must have forgot what i used.Hopefully that is not important.all went well and when my phone restarted it went staright to twrp.I decied to wipe cache and data inc internal and dalvic cache. But when i restared all i got was the sony logo frozed.Nothing would happen.i would try entering recovery mode or flashing mode or what ever you call it by pressing vol up and power. All this does it makes my phone vibarate 3 times but thats not the prob;em as normally i would presume the phone is off but no its not as when i put it on charge it comes on with the logo and all.but when i connect to my pc to try and reflash nothing.i have tried using xperia flash tool but when i follow the instructions nothing happens.and to be fair i dont even know wif i followed them righ as for all i know my phone could be off.i attempted pc companion to try and sort it out but it dosnt give me an option to reflash.only upgrade and when i do press that it says i must remove my battery and sim but i cant.i am worried if i leave it on charge it will turn really hot cuz thats what i done for like an hour and it was extremly hot.Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My X8 Stuck on "SONY ERICSSON" Text
Hey… I have Xperia x8
I read your post...
My Problem is similar to your Problem which happened to your phone!
When i am switching on my x8 it starts and gets hanged on the "SONY ERICSSON Logo"
My x8 is still on "SONY ERICSSON" Logo...and Nothing is Working out of it!
What i did:
I tried to install a ROM…
It said..."Successfully Installed new ROM"
Then, we all usually reboot our phone for better Use and hoping for a new start..i did the same
It got restarted but got hanged on "SONY ERICSSON" Text...i know that it takes a time of about 5-7 mins to come out from That LOGO....but i waited for more than 10 mins.
And then when i took out the battery to turn it off(It was the only way to switch off the phone by taking the battery out)
It restarted …but Then after That “Sony Ericsson” Text in showing up on the screen and nothing is happening when i am pressing & holding the Back button also.
Then for Turning off my Phone(To save my Battery)...The only thing i have to do is to Remove my Battery from the Phone.
This problem is continuing till today...its almost a week..i am trying to do some experiements...and trying some new methods searching up on the internet...checking youtube on videos for help....but nothing is happeneing for me...
I tried with the Flash Tool also…but Nothing is Happening
With the help of flash tool…it is Detecting my Phone but when i am going to Advanced Menu–Selecting Reboot–There comes 2 options
KERNEL and RECOVERY…i did both the Way..but not Rebooting…
In Logs…it says “Rebooting Your Phone”
BUT Nothing Happening After that “SONY Ericsson Text”.
I am fade up of this “SONY ERICSSON” Text
PLS PLS PLS PLS PLS Help me…!!!
i personally prefer using flashtool to go back to stock rom, then re-root and flash custom ROM. just search the files you need (it's pretty simple). BTW, did you wipe before/after flashing the rom??

If you have unlocked bootloader, flash other kernel, if you don't have use SE PC Companion. LOL your phone is stock not bricked. You can't turn on phone if it's bricked
Relax, sit, open PC Companion, go to update service...

Hey guys,
First off, from a xda noob, that video you have to see at registration - genius.
Second, to get down to business, I have this stupid X8 (11W48, if it means anything to you) that has been giving me trouble since I got it.
It restarted itself randomly, which was not that big a deal until it started happening every hour or so,
then it started giving me errors all the time (I couldn't in any way enter my settings, force closes it),
and now finally, after trying the button combinations to force a factory reset, it's on constant loop, booting up to the logo and then restarting itself over and over and over again.
I never actually did anything to it, except for the usual apps from the market and stuff, so I guess that wouldn't cause the issue.
Now I don't quite know what to do. I can't go for PCC or Flashtool, really, cause I've tried - it tells me it recognizes the device (provided it doesn't restart right away and kill the connection) but the debugging mode or something is not turned on.
How the duck can I factory reset it? Or fix it at all?
And yes, I've tried searching, but I haven't come across a problem like this.
Please don't tell me to send it to Sony or something :crying:
Thanks
Hey,
Unfortunately I think you've a damaged x8..
I'd send to sony cause there is nothing you can do in the condition it's in. You need usb debugging on to attempt to fix it.
Maybe remove battery for an hour or so. Let the phone go cold inside.
You might get into settings upon reboot.
Good luck!!

Use flashtool....
You don't need to turn on your phone for that...
Here..

Sent from my E15i
don't be panic at this moments, your X8 is just Softbricked Okay! just SOFT.
if it still shows the Sony Ericsson logo,Still vibrate when turn on-its fine.
you need to use PC companion correctly and properly to get the
PC companion recognize your X8
note:-if you have PCC before and used hardly with your X8,PCC may not work properly in repairing our phone
so,
-uninstall completely your PC companion(restart)
-clean Registry and other left over pieces of the PC companion files(Restart)
-download a fresh copy of PC companion here:http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
-install it and restart
-open PC companion and go to the support Zone(wait it to download approx 2mb)
-and click software update on it
-and then click repair my phone.
Note:the firmware and the updating tool download may take as long as half hour depending on your Internet Speed
that's all, just follow the step on screen just tick tick tick and do what its says.
after that select your X8 if its in the list and its says you need to
plug in your device while holding back button.just do it.and you can see some magic automatically on your PC screen.
after finished unplug your device and turn it on. you will back to original pure 2.1 SE skinned android.
IF YOU HATE DOING THE PROCEDURE AT THE TOP!!!
go to http://androxyde.github.com/
download the flash tool and install it.
you need to download Original X8's firmware you can find in Gogeta's signature
you need to put the X8 firmware in the C:/Flashtool/firmwares/drop it here
open flash tool and click the Flash button and it pop-up with default flash mode just click OK
and it shows a window with 2 firmware with included X10 firmware and the X8 firmware that
you dropped in select X8 carefully and don't click anything just click OK
after you clicked OK you will see couple of logs in the screen and says
preparing files for flashing and after seconds it says you need to
connect your device. and do the on screen procedure,
after it detect the device,MAGIC will happen in your PC screen.
that's all simple procedure.
Requirements:
cool head and clear aye.
I went for the Flashtool way - it worked! Thank you so much!
so that why i say don't be so panic or stressed when doing this type of job.
use Flashtool the way it should be and don't play with it too much!
maybe you will hardbrick your X8 if flash non-X8 firmwares...
use Flashtool when necessarily needed.
Hello!
I have rooted my XP a long time ago with kingroot. switched to supersu after. No unlocked bootloader.
I just tried to change my font to a different one, which worked in the past. But now i am stuck in bootloop! (
I cannot use sony pc companion as the phone reboots all the time!
please help me as this is the only phone that i have!
I can hear the pc detecting the device but soon after the device reboots and it disconnects.
oh god, how many times I've heard this! please use the search button....!!!
anyway, last time I say this, when using flash tool, and you press the flash button, and it says waiting for phone, at the time (you have less than 1 sek actually, you have to try a couple of times to get it right) the phone is rebooting, right after the screen brightens up, hit the volume DOWN, led goes green, plug the usb in the pc (actually do this where you connect the micro usb first and the usb is really close to be plugged in but not in just yet, and when the time is right you push it all.)
I don't know if my explanation is understandable by you, if not check in youtube, there are a plenty of videos on how to put your xperia z in flash mode.
good luck
Thanks for your reply. I did manage to finally turn off the device and after i could repair it with pc companion. I have no recovery installed as i haven't unlocked my bootloader. So i couldn't use flasher as you said.
Now im on stock 5.1.1 rooted with kingroot + supersu script.

Anyway, good for you, you solved it by your own.
Flashtool actually (not the one provided by sony) can solve any problem, as long its not hardware related.
Hi guys,
First of all be sure that I spent the whole last 3 days reading stuff and being learning all about flashing. I finally have to ask you about real help because now I am lost and my wife will ask divorce if I continue flashing her phone all nights long..
So here is the topic:
Her Xperia Z c6602 is in a bad bootloop. I first thought it was the battery but it appears that not because I can flash over and over without the phone being disconnected from windows.
All I own to fix it is an old netbook runing XP.
I have installed flashtool 0.9.18 (cannot install earlier version because not compatible with xp).
I have managed after hours to unlock the boot loader via flashtool.
I have dl 3 different roms.ftf.
Sooo, the phone connect in fastboot mode with no problem and also in flashboot.
I can indeed flash the roms like I've been reading on so many threads about this already (with wipe data and so on)
The flashes go right, but when prompt to disconnect and start the device, not a change.
I have also tried repair from pc companion. The repair also goes well but no changes.
Sometimes after pressing buttons, unplugging charger and with a little bit of luck I have the phone charging and I also can see the charging page on the phone! But that's it.. after same again, booting again and again and this makes me go crazy!
What can I do please? I know it's an old phone but cannot afford new one these days
Will there be anyone familiar with this issue?
A million thanks
Please stop spamming your question all over XDA
In future, take some time to find the correct device forum and post your question there... To do otherwise is just insulting to the staff here.
I've moved your thread and deleted all of your duplicates.
Alright if you can boot into fastboot and your bootloader is unlocked, try to flash this kernel
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/development/kernel-ub-t3198491
Can be flashed with flashtool too.All instructions in that thread.
After successully flashing this kernel.
I assume you know TWRP.Boot into TWRP recovery.
Connect your phone to PC.Copy the rom.zip file in storage and then flash it.
If you dont know, tell.Il try to help.
Hi guys - I did a wipe/factory reset in Philz recovery. It asked me to confirm that I was going to flash a new rom. I said yes. The flash didn't work, I think the files were corrupted. So now the phone's red led comes on when it's plugged in and after awhile the sony logo comes on and stays on but nothing else happens. I have tried to flash stock firmware with flash tool but it's not recognising the phone and won't flash when I plug in and hold volume down. I think there isn't enough info left in the phone to identify it.
Please forgive my ignorance. I would really appreciate any help although I can't help thinking that I have killed the phone...
